PHYL   Beautiful 365 today.  :)

TIG   Good enough neighbors they are still willing to meet up with you  ;D  When do you leave?

KAREN    Tim's nodule turned out to be an infected cut - likely shaving -  so he drained it and gave instructions for care.  Phew

LANI   Bonnie and Clyde  LOL   My mother had a ruptured aorta and survived but no cardiac follow up as I recall.  They never went to docs either...Mom never had a mammogram.  The only thing dad had to follow up with was his bladder cancer x2

Good Afternoon Beakers

((tsk)) - Those breakfast choices sound good.  Yay, on the Google Lens search.  Sounds like good visit with docs.  I worry about inheriting things too that my Mom and brother had, which both passed away from.

kb - Yes, the leaves look purple.  Here is a picture of it.

Puff - Thank you for the reminder.

Lani - Sweet good night pic.  Thanks for the pics from TRR!

clynn - Yes, the strawberries in the fridge in the Ball jar.  Your breakfast sounds good.  Hope you had a good day with the munchkins.

Phyl - Love your Egyptian posts this morning. Thanks for the 365.

tig - Sounds like good news all around today.

karen - I think Maple trees are pretty too.

BL    I do believe you have mentioned Mr. P before.  Have a wonderful trip.  Can you tape record some of your conversations?  Some words to live by?   Has he been ill?

Some of my posts from the last time Pip, Kopje and I visited Mr P. this past February.
A total riot of a good time Winter Wonderland outing.
Pip and Kopje had never met Mr P before ..
Pip said these people know how to live life ?

Pip you have know idea. Hard core peeps.  ;)

Hi BL, I thought I saw a prior post and wanted to reread it.... I'm following Tsk's comment, because I'm sure you wrote of going somewhere.... I came back to after dinner to wish you a safe trip and enjoy!!!   :)

I had a post about traveling to Maine on short notice to pay my last respects to a dear family friend. Mr. P.
But somehow it went MIA, perhaps in my haste of posting.   :-\

I just held his weathered hand and just talked casually of campfires, the ocean and our sad ass hunts of the past.   ;)

There will be a star missing from the clear Maine Sky tonight.

Mr. P passed away peacefully in the wee hours of Today 05/29/2025 due to a unknown to anyone except his wife medical issue.

He was a true Maine Mountain Man of men.
Not a huge or small man in stature but he had the heart, courage, stamina and toughness of a Grizzly Bear from AK !

He will be sorely missed by all of those that his great wisdom, humor and positive attitude touched.

so sorry, BL - take care and I am happy you got to be there with him.

Lisa - hmm, I'm not sure that's a crimson king maple....the trunk and laterals don't look like one.

Maybe someone else can chime in, or some kind of google lens thingy?....leaves do look purple and maple like though.

That his wisdom of his past passed on to me gently is a thing of beauty.

My knowledge will be forever enhanced.

The tree in the background is not the trunk to that tree.  That is another tree in the corner of my yard.  It looks like a Crape Myrtle, but don't think it is.  Let me take a pic of the trunk of the maple.

((((  BL  ))))

BL... Camper has a poignant pic of me, from the shore, sitting at the end of the long dock on the bench next to our friend, the owner of the resort we used to visit 15 - 20 years ago. We pretty much sat in the silence of the memories and the knowledge he had only months to live. We had the beauty of the sunset over the lake and our shared faith. It was a sad but wonderful experience.

Hi Beakers!  :)

My bum knee is slowly improving. It is different this time from the usual issue I have when it goes rogue on me, and there's a problem with my foot this time, too, that happened at the same time my knee balked. It feels like a sprain or pull or something like that in or around a couple of the bones on the top center of that foot. My foot aches more than my knee, but my knee isn't operating as well as my foot, and the crunching sound is not appealing. LOL. And this, too, shall pass.

Tennis is keeping me entertained a large part of the day.

TSK, you already may have found this, but you should be able to right click on your taskbar and select "Taskbar settings." Then see if you have a setting to select "yes" or "no" for "Use small taskbar buttons." Mine is set to "No" and my taskbar buttons (icons) are not big, but they're much bigger than if I set that to "Yes." I hope that helps you!

I am way behind on things I need to get done before hitting the sack, so I need to keep this short.

Take care, (((Beakers))). Sleep well. Peace.

Oh, I forgot! "What if birds left tracks in the sky?" Amazing!!

Hint: Give all the photos time to fully load in that article. Very cool!

Lisa, I think Maple trees are beautiful too. We have one and there are several throughout this area.

{{{BL}}} I'm so sorry to hear of Mr P's passing and for your loss of someone so special in your life. Thank you for reposting the February posts.

Baz, What an interesting article and photos of bird tracks in the sky.... fascinating tracks, they do look like zippers in the sky, especially the starlings and gulls. I wonder what an eagle's flight would look like.... Take care and I hope your knee continues to feel better... enjoy the tennis. Football is just three months away.  ;D

Good night!
