Good Morning Beakers

baz - Prayers for the families in VA!

tig - We did homemade pizza on Wednesday night.  Nice of your brother to help clean the roof valley above your door.

BL - Thanks for the videos.

kb - Do take it easy.

Phyl - Your pizza sounds good!  I always do ham, pepperoni and green olives.  I need to switch up the olives and do black next time.  :)  Love the blue and white glass this morning.

tsk - Hope Tim is doing good, and you too!

oldguy - Thanks for the videos.  Yes, that is exactly what happened to me when I went to post yesterday.

Lani - I agree, it seems like it is taking a lil longer for things to post.

Lori - Waving to you!  Hope you and Destini are doing well.   :D

clynn - Aww, that is great you will have them on Wednesday's, and that Ed is retired now he can take them to the park.  WOW, the pic from the Grand Teton!

Puff, karen and all - Morning  :)

Johnathan Flemming...what an incredible voice!

Happy Bird Day, ssrl....

This weekend is filled with mixed emotions....so happy my decks will get stained most of the day as a help.

May 25, 2020 was the start of Minneapolis' riots. All while Scott was adjusting to not being able to walk and started home hospice. Furthermore, treatment in the VA ended due to Covid. All at the same time of Memorial Day and Scott's Birthday.

A state of emergency was declared eventually with curfews and limited travel allowed. The National Guard finally was called in after 4 days I think. I won't forget.

Cool map KB.

Forest Coverage by State. Data from here I believe:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest_cover_by_state_and_territory_in_the_United_States#cite_note-FIA-1

Note:
This is only the total amount of timberland. Actual forest cover for each state may be significantly higher.

Maine at 89%, NH at 84% and Vermont at 78% doesn't really surprise me .. but Alabama at 71% does a little bit.

And NJ at 42% and MN at 34% is also a little surprising.

Northern Minn. fires are almost under control - outbreak started on May 11 & 12
https://app.watchduty.org/i/48388

OG it looks like as of the latest report that the Jenkins Fire is 78% contained and the Camp Fire is 90% contained.

They should get them both 100% contained shortly I would guess.  8)

Kind of makes you wonder why the fire department doesn't have one of these.

Good info BL...I thought it seemed a bit odd, but maybe just take it relatively speaking. Timber forest is what they might better say.....We do have  a lot of prairie in Central and Western MN. I was surprised at Maine. That's only because I've never been there.

Thanks, Tig...good to know. I do wonder if starting by seed might be better?...I read you can just throw the seeds on the ground and voila...I also read some of those starter plants didn't make it for some gardeners.
