I was being facetious = should have done  :P

I knew about the man/the artist (Brandenburg) back in the 1970's.
South Shore High School, Chicago Public Schools, Instructor of Photo class, Mr. Mancini, was a great hire for a new idea school program.  Students and school won many showings and awards.  Only high school in Chicago, only in the state, one of few in the USA.  Easy to come out on top.  He also taught me, gave me pointers, suggestions, critique.

Brand new construction, some advanced programming and teaching techniques.  When I started there (late 1970's) we first had Royal manuals only.  Ended of we were the first in Chgo to have IBM Selectrics.  (I laugh/smile when I think about them now.)

Mancini also contributed to the only TV studio in the CPS system.  Students filmed, ran equipment and broadcasts daily to the new building when it opened.  TV studios became very popular in several US school systems, even elementary.

Another aside - When I first started at SSHS we were in a 1940 built building.  Across the street was where the new construction was done.  Opened, I'd say, 1978.  i found out recently that part of the school was torn down and rebuilt, THE NEW BUILDING?  Typical Chgo handling of most things.  Their biggest mistake was to let the purposed principal play architect and construction god.  School blueprint, design, and programs were way above the guy put in charge.

P

I always check out the Brandenburg posting.  Lucky and talented to have such a fine portfolio.  Even lucky to end up with two rare/beautiful birds at the same time.

Good Morning!  Still dark out!  58 and going to be 92 or 87, depending on which weather site I view!   Time to cool down and in need of a little rain!   Not a hurricane, mind you!  Piper is sleeping!   Says way to early to get up!  Tge squirrels are not even out!   Have a nice day!
ThinkI would try to sellthis!,

Karen, I guess it would be a while before that house could be put on the market. So sad, but at least they still have a house, though who knows what the inside condition is, and if it's so unstable that it's been condemned. I just feel so sad for so many.  The time changes back to Standard Time a week from this coming Sunday!! Actually, it changes overnight a week from this coming Saturday night, donchaknow.  ;) :D  It will be time to "Fall Back," so I will set my time back an hour before I go to bed a week from this Saturday night. Then when you and Piper get up in the mornings, it will be light! And the sun will set an hour earlier, of course.  Let the time change haters begin their griping. LOL.  ;D ;D ;)

Clynn, yay for the Sydney Sea Eaglet fledge! It seems too soon! It always does.  :)  I hope it goes well, because there's been some dicey fledge history there for sure. Talons crossed for success, and all stay healthy and safe!  :-*

KB, nice catch of the Black-Billed Magpie where many might not expect to see one!

((TSK)), so glad to hear Tim is making great progress! And Tom felt relieved and heading to FL as planned, too. Hope to hear that Tim keeps making good progress with healing and recovery, and wishing for comfort, too. Will a home health nurse visit at the house to take care of the pump, dressings, and other needs? Or will it be you hanging up your "The Nurse is IN" sign?

Waving to All the Beakers!  :) :-*
