I was being facetious = should have done  :P

I knew about the man/the artist (Brandenburg) back in the 1970's.
South Shore High School, Chicago Public Schools, Instructor of Photo class, Mr. Mancini, was a great hire for a new idea school program.  Students and school won many showings and awards.  Only high school in Chicago, only in the state, one of few in the USA.  Easy to come out on top.  He also taught me, gave me pointers, suggestions, critique.

Brand new construction, some advanced programming and teaching techniques.  When I started there (late 1970's) we first had Royal manuals only.  Ended of we were the first in Chgo to have IBM Selectrics.  (I laugh/smile when I think about them now.)

Mancini also contributed to the only TV studio in the CPS system.  Students filmed, ran equipment and broadcasts daily to the new building when it opened.  TV studios became very popular in several US school systems, even elementary.

Another aside - When I first started at SSHS we were in a 1940 built building.  Across the street was where the new construction was done.  Opened, I'd say, 1978.  i found out recently that part of the school was torn down and rebuilt, THE NEW BUILDING?  Typical Chgo handling of most things.  Their biggest mistake was to let the purposed principal play architect and construction god.  School blueprint, design, and programs were way above the guy put in charge.

P

I always check out the Brandenburg posting.  Lucky and talented to have such a fine portfolio.  Even lucky to end up with two rare/beautiful birds at the same time.

Good Morning!  Still dark out!  58 and going to be 92 or 87, depending on which weather site I view!   Time to cool down and in need of a little rain!   Not a hurricane, mind you!  Piper is sleeping!   Says way to early to get up!  Tge squirrels are not even out!   Have a nice day!
ThinkI would try to sellthis!,

Karen, I guess it would be a while before that house could be put on the market. So sad, but at least they still have a house, though who knows what the inside condition is, and if it's so unstable that it's been condemned. I just feel so sad for so many.  The time changes back to Standard Time a week from this coming Sunday!! Actually, it changes overnight a week from this coming Saturday night, donchaknow.  ;) :D  It will be time to "Fall Back," so I will set my time back an hour before I go to bed a week from this Saturday night. Then when you and Piper get up in the mornings, it will be light! And the sun will set an hour earlier, of course.  Let the time change haters begin their griping. LOL.  ;D ;D ;)

Clynn, yay for the Sydney Sea Eaglet fledge! It seems too soon! It always does.  :)  I hope it goes well, because there's been some dicey fledge history there for sure. Talons crossed for success, and all stay healthy and safe!  :-*

KB, nice catch of the Black-Billed Magpie where many might not expect to see one!

Sightings map:

((TSK)), so glad to hear Tim is making great progress! And Tom felt relieved and heading to FL as planned, too. Hope to hear that Tim keeps making good progress with healing and recovery, and wishing for comfort, too. Will a home health nurse visit at the house to take care of the pump, dressings, and other needs? Or will it be you hanging up your "The Nurse is IN" sign?

Waving to All the Beakers!  :) :-*

Baz, I am going tomguess the house interior is ok,  seems like the biggest problem is the foundation and supportive land  which is missing in tge front!  Looks like tgey have it propord up untik they can rebuild tge side if tge mountain.  I hope when they complete the job there is some kind of test for stability!
I know things are in a terrefic mess but clean up and hook up and fi xbit up is going much faster that I thought possible., they have the. Cajun navy there along with thousands of otger groups and individuals.
Puff😠  Chicago is my kind of town!

Neighbord pointed out two large broken branches hanging from 2 of   My lob branches lollys in the front yard.  Will have to call a tree company  unless Bl wants to climb  a few after his Next trip!☺️

Tsk  tell
tim we are joining paws with Lulu. Praying for a quick recovery!

TIG   Freaky cuts like that. :o  Tim is on a lot of blood thinners so we have blood all over the place with his thin, old skin.  I can feel for you.

PHYL  Loved those black and green woodpeckers. :) Lots of cool haunting places on that list.  Didn't know that about the Queen Mary tho.   WOW a newspaper forecast of a pocket flip phone  1963.  WOW

PUFF  Interesting about your experience at SS high school.  Revolutionary to say the least.

Today's highlights of hospital living!!!    The drain came out this afternoon - YAY  Tim was euphoric.   He ( we) will be staying til Monday as they will do another cardioversion as meds are not bringing HR down.  Down the road will be an ablation and got the scoop on that today from the electrophysiologist.

We're a long way away from the Great Lakes of Gordon Lightfoot and very human remote around here _

Doesn't mean we can't here some great music up here.

Spin up that vinyl our dear USFS Ranger host and let the critters for miles groove on it as our and your dear Uncle George did.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqYwoRXFnKM

Beak and I got the Mule Deer hunting great vibes and chills from the music wafting from above.

Beak steady handed bow took an 8 point mule deer thunk clean dead dropped.  :o

I know of all my hunting skills from Beak and all his from our Uncle George.

Steaks already on the tower base BBQ.

Apparently holding the onions.   ::)

Venison steaks from the outdoor grocery store.

Now I here tell some Phil Grateful Dead is in order. RIP.

One of the G.D. vinyl was in the Cab.

Imagine That.   ;)
