Good Morning Everyone !

A photograph of a frozen spider web is actually a picture of a sculpture that took first place in a Helsinki ice carving competition in 2011.

Partly cloudy 59F . As day progresses light rain  69F .  As day turns into night we’ll have heavy Thundrstorms and 65F   .

Hi Lilbro

Hi Weasel thank you so much for your post (Took me back to when I lived there.)  And, for news about Puff and a run down on the days sightseeing and your lunch.
LOL the rain is already here---that's okay. Just so it's not raining there for Rose Parade and Puff's visit. Sure hope y'all have a great day. Thanks

I ususally go by size and can't see enough. But, from what I can see,  will 'guess'  HM .

Then there's this one just minutes later...

IT's MONDAY

34 degrees heading to 45  Rain moving in at 8 PM   About 3/4 to 1" predicted.

CLYNN   Great snap of the Norths as well as our new Decorah pair.

KB   It was the alignment of the stars - Vikings played horribly and the Packers had a great game...

LANI   Super cozy/ comforting good night pic.  :)

WEASEL   WOW WOW  I'd sign you up as my tour guide any day!!!  How nice that you and Puff hooked up.  You sure know your way around the area hitting all those highlights.  Thanks so much for the nice pic of you both.  :) :)  Googled Dupars - what a menu.  Let me see    hot cakes or patty melt  :-\

PHYL  I can see why that spider web sculpture won.  Stunning.

Hi Tsk LOL--- the Decorah snaps this morning are mine. Clynn's are almost always in color not infrared or IR.
What a cute panda this AM. Wasn't that a sweet post from Weasel about her and Puff. Great photo, too.

This is from Ft St Vrain!!!

So I have some INCREDIBLE information to share. Thanks to the immaculate records kept by RS Joe Pinner on the early years of the nest cam. In these records you can see in 2004 2 FSV eaglets were banded. The smaller of the two banded as yellow band BJ weighing 5.95lbs
WELL, during CPWs study on Bald Eagles Along Colorados Front Range which began in 2001 this FSV eagle was captured and is part of the same study as FSV44. As suspected by size at banding this eagle is male, his hatch day would be 3/28/2004 making him 18 years old at this time. His nest is approximately 21 miles away from FSV. He’s a breeding adult so has a mate and likely offspring of his own.
Here is more information on the 4 year study.
Thanks to Dr Reesa Conrey for sharing this updated information.

Good Morning Beakers

Phyl - The Ruben sammies with black-eyed peas on the side, and a salad sounds delish!  Cute doggie shames!  Wow, the spider web sculpture is awesome.

weasel - What a great pic of you and Puff, and what a great tour guide you are in showing her L.A.! I am taking notes of the places, in case I ever get out that way.

Puff - Hope you are enjoying your time in CA, and at the parade.

Lani - Hope you didn't get too much snow.  Cute good night pic.

kb & tsk - Yes, the recipe is definitely a keeper.  :)

clynn - Thanks for the beautiful pics from DNN & Decorah from SueB.

E4E - Sounds like you had a great NYE!

tsk - Thanks for the FSV info!!!

Good Morning Beakers!

35 right now, high today of 40 with rain pretty much all day...

tsk, hard to believe it's 2023... seems like yesterday it was 2000... Are you working on a puzzle? And have you found the piece you dropped a few weeks ago? ;D Great news on the FSV eagle!

Phyl, love the night pictures, both of the eagles might be there, one behind the branch! HD and HM seem like such a loving couple of newlyweds! Good shames, wedding cake my favorite! Beautiful ice spider web! Oh, just read your latest post, looks like maybe the eagles were both on the branch! They like sleeping close to each other...

weasel, what a packed afternoon of sightseeing! Would surely wear me out! Hoping for good weather for the parade so you can really enjoy!

Lani, SNOW! I bet it's beautiful in your forest, wish I could see it!

Lisa, the ribs & sauerkraut look delicious, I am going to try them! I love sauerkraut!

Welcome to Des Moines - This isn’t just the most amazing room in Iowa, but one of the most amazing rooms in the entire world. The Iowa Law Library located in our Capitol is truly a special place.

Hi Clynn good AM photos today.  Lovely snowy forest. Thanks for the awesome Des Moines Law library photo.  :o

Lani guess I missed the part in your post about 'snow' I bet it's gonna be pretty. Be careful out there

Maggie's getting worse in her hind legs--weaker and doesn't jump on my chair at the desk to snooze or sleep with us. Just nestles herself in the bottom room of
her kitty kondo.  And, when she's invited to join me  she jumps up and follows.
I'm gonna be looking at some steps for our bed anyway as she loves the blanket in the winter and she's just the sweetest cuddler year round. In mean time I'll just keep lifting her where she wants to be and increase the Cosequin from 1/2 to 1 cap daily. Hoping for success!

It's a cat's world....we just live in it.
Although, Ollie does this often too.....gotta step over him....he trusts us...

Grey, cloudy, lightly foggy morning here.....and, we are going to get walloped mostly tomorrow and Wednesday...

Happy Monday all.
