Lisa G, I thoroughly enjoyed your pics from ATF. We don't seem to have any indigo buntings in this area, so that was a treat. I'm impressed with how much our first-time parents are still watching DH2 from nearby. I guess the hunting lessons have begun. Planes were clearly designed to look like eagles! Thanks for sharing these.

Early morning, DH2 on the Y, N1, and a branch next to the nest overlooking the pasture. Some calling off-camera, likely one of the parents, but no food on offer.

Later, 9:30-ish, one of the parents was at the edge of the creek, upstream from N1, see pic of takeoff.  Might have been DH2 on the ground nearby but view was too blurry to see anything but some brown feathery body moving as if eating something, so no pic.  Closer to noon, an adult BE perching on a bluff ledge way upstream, probably a parent.

Lisa, I missed the pre-color action this morning!  No starving eagle here.

About 1:00 PM, DH2 was on a favorite upstream perch, with wings spread to catch any cool breeze.

No, DH2 is definitely not starving.

Loved seeing DH2 spread those wings on the branch upstream.

Morning today, DH2 calling for food of course, but I didn't see any.  Couple great perching views, thanks to the cam ops.  Short time in the favorite pine tree near the creek with park benches, then some flying around, and perching on top of the Pond side bluffs.

Later, for several hours, an adult, probably HM or HD, perched upstream from N1, appears to be looking down for prey in the creek.

Sunday morning, the cam ops had a look at N2B's cornfield!

DH2 overnight in branches above N1, then to the Y, then to a dead tree between the pines near the Hatchery.
