Two red-tailed hawk about 9:00 this morning, perched in a snag, not sure exactly where, possibly the maple tree between the barn and the Pond.

HM or HD perched in their several usual places around the Pond bluffs between daylight and noon.  (no pics)

Great pic, STL!

I think that tree might be between the pines by hatchery.  I remember seeing some hawks there last season.

Little mysteries about locations that usually get solved when the cam ops zoom out, if I am patient enough, which I wasn't -- per the hawks yesterday.  So another location question this morning, with HM or HD (I'm leaning HD) eating some kind of pink-meated prey on a large branch. Wait for the zoom out to see the branch in the orange circle  in the pic.  I'm thinking a fish because near the Pond.  But could it have been the cheeky squirrel that was teasing HM or HD on a branch above N1 earlier?

Anyhow, Happy New Year to Everybirdie, and we'll resume the watching in 2024.
