Puff seems to me,  like this is 2022 sequencing  all over again.
Hmmm...Well on the other hand, I could be off on my ID's. And this is intruding pair. Talk about a 'soap opera' then.

I think I saw expert copulation, cloacal kiss and all, at around 10:43 a.m., Decorah time. We might get eggs yet.

Whew, an active morning at Decorah!  HM & HD at N2B, trying to gather grasses from the abundant supply. Hollering at geese in the creek under N1. HD with a new fish head on N1, I think a sucker fish this time. Mating on the Y at 10:45.  Use the rewind for better action than the pics can show.  Eggs to come . . .  ;)

I don't recall HD and HM getting into N2B before now this season?  Took yesterday's action to heart?

P

Puff - HM was on the skywalk one time last season looking for a stick, and she wasn't on it for very long.

Busy time indeed. And, even busier times ahead w/ laying & incubating,  hatching, eaglets, maturing and fledging.
I predict nothing in the human world will get accomplish during this time. ;D    LOL

Windy day in Decorah! Why not go for a soar? ;)

T40, soaring weather for sure.  Eagles or vultures, can you tell from so far away?

At 1:30, cam ops found HD on T1 and showed kind of closeups.  He's standing on one foot, pulling the injured talon up.  I can't get great detail with my puny PC pic ability, but maybe someone else can.  The whole middle talon looks swollen and dark above the claw, and maybe the one next to it also.  Poor fellow, hope it resolves soon.  I recommend standing in the creek, the icy water would reduce the swelling.

Room for one more pic -- copulating on the Y at 4PM.

STL - RRP posted an updated pic of HD's toe last night in their post.  The toe actually looks like it is healing to me.  I am sure it is a long process, but it looks way better than the first pic they posted.
