Hazard to guess that D36 has figured this fishing truth out on the Turkey River. 

HM and HD have become aware 2023.

Upper Iowa River environs ..

Early fish eyeballs, flesh and roe make for healthy NE IA Eagles.

No Snow out in the fields, No frozen water body in sight

Phyl, great pic.  The Hatchery pair are busy with sticks this morning. But still no egg, and I don't see an obvious brood patch on HM, either.

Around 10:30am, HM was on T1 and HD flew to nest with another food gift for her.  A nice size trout.  She came to the nest to check it out, and started to eat.
