Indeed 'Chat ' is a great place to learn, learn, learn about eagled and all birds.
Unfortunately, those of us w/arthritis in the hand joints  will never be able to
keep up with the rapid pace of Chat.

Phyl, I say hello and when it starts getting fast paced, just read along.

I started out in Chat when I first joined.
I know how it is.

Lisa - I couldn't stop staring at your snip of HM preparing to fly off the limb. She's stacked! And those legs are huge! Big, healthy girl. :-*

T40 - HM is one big girl  :D

Only the winged ones know for sure STL.

The aquatic.

The USGS officially labels it such as Trout Creek many moons ago.

Trout Run way upper right heading NE towards the Upper Iowa River and N3.

Note the confluence  >

In Raptors We Trust.  :)

Exit Fish Hatchery waste such as it was directly into Trout Creek.

Wouldn't it be a laugh if our nice young couple, The Hatcherys, produced an egg before the Norths? A real long shot but fun to think about.

Morning pics from Decorah - HM & HD were at the nest very early this morning.  HD laid down in the bowl as usual, till HM decided to lay next to him.  HM got up and moved to the side perch, but HD continued lay for a while.

Nice early morning pics, Lisa.  Just after, HM and HD flew to the Y for a bit of loud twittering. No mating seen.
