Wow Rues, Robin's trip sounds fantastic!  The eye would be neat being it's enclosed!  That was interesting about the pool Rues, I really had no idea what people did with them.

Awww Sweets is so neat Cal!  Was he younger when you ended up with him?  I'd swear he looks more grown up and bigger that I remembered him.  Maybe not.

Wow those were great blue jay pictures!

I think tomorrow (Tuesday) is supposed to be Cedar Rapids, IA's big flood day.  I feel so sorry for people along those rivers this year.

Aww shucks, well it's still today in Florida.  I haven't been on the computer all day and finally got to sit down and putz on here a little bit ago.  I hope your birthday was a great one and we're so glad you ARE here to read and enjoy your birthday greetings!!

There are more, they just didn't all fit into the picture, we all get one and you get all these JP!

Just in case people don't move out of the thread to other threads. D25 was killed. Hit by a car 50 miles from the nest :'(
Will remember & love you Dad Decorah.

Daily Updates
Lucky in Slow Motion - UPDATE September 26, 2016
26 September 2016

After his look at fall colors yesterday, Lucky was in slow motion today as he made his only venture out of the bunker den he now shares with Holly.
He moved like molasses as he came out just long enough to retrieve a bowl of apples that he spilled on his way back to the bunker den with them.

Lucky and Holly at dinnertime

Tasha is the most energetic and was out walking a log today.

At the WRI, Samantha and her four cubs showed they are still up and eating.

Heading home to watch the debates with Donna.

Thank you for all you do.

Hi Jewelies!  :)

MpMom thanks for posting the information about D25. So horribly sad. I was looking forward to finding out if the kids ever hung out with each other or crossed paths once they left home for good.

It's pretty nice here today. A little warm, almost 80, but the humidity is only 35% so not so muggy. Tomorrow the high is supposed to  be 68 and the low 50. I'm thrilled about it!

Went to the orthopedic surgeon yesterday and my hip replacement is scheduled for November 1. I won't have a general anesthesia, but will have a spinal or epidural along with the "happy" medicine! The surgery only lasts for about 30 minutes and the incision is only about 3 inches long. I will be up and walking the next day!

The little pandas are just growing like weeds. They each weigh over a pound now. Of course, in comparison to Lun Lun they are very small. This is Lun Lun with one of the cubs.

This is cub A. I think it will be easier to tell these twins apart because of the coloring. If you notice, this cub has lots of black around his/her mouth, so when the fur grows in it will be black in all the areas where the skin is black.

This is cub B. The little bellies are so cute. Obviously they are getting plenty to eat!

The National Zoo tried a little experiment with the pandas. A zoo in another country had tried giving their pandas corn as a treat; not the corn itself, but the stalk and leaves. Well, our pandas really liked it. I guess it's kind of sweet like sugar cane. Anyway, here is Bei Bei with his corn treat. What a sweet face!!

Well, Hi to all Jewelies and visitors. I have to get up now; can't sit for very long. Have a good evening and a restful night.  :)

MpMom, darn it, how sad about D25. :'( Thank you for letting us know.  :'(

Dlong, those precious little pandas. Love them to pieces. Bei Bei is so sweet! We are having the best weather! High 75 with a cool breeze. Low tonight in the 40's! No ac or fans needed! Feels wonderful! Still no rain, though. Won't be long and you won't have any hip pain. Crow has never regretted having his knee replaced!

Jp, hope you got your internet prob fixed!

Hi Nora, Sue, Willi, Deb!
