HI EVERYONE

KAREN    I get my Preservision at Walgreens when they have the buy one - get second for half price.  I did some comparison once and I think that price came out better than Costco. - unless Costco is running a sale on it.  Also in our area anyway, Walgreens on the first Tue of the month is "senior day" - 20% off non sale items.  Do you have a loyalty card with Walgreens?  You earn points and then get cash back.    LOL  I will throw on sweats and a sweatshirt for the airport run - yes,  ;) ;)

BAZI   Watched the eagle segment last night - A bit disappointed they didn't mention the lead issue now causing many deaths in the eagle population.  Would have been a great opportunity to reach a lot of people.

EAGLES  What is Kris's new project???  LOL

PHYL    Good sound on the 365 blizzard  Brrr         " hope mcicicle"  :o

Good Morning Beakers!

Still no referral to a specialist yet, no one seems to have received the information from the Dr I saw in IN, I am amazed that no one even called me back as promised. I will not be so nice today. Will start again this morning, I may just go over there.

Erin and Sydney just left to go to Wisconsin and pick up the kittens! They are both off today and the kids are at Sydney's folks, so they have the day to themselves! Erin said they were looking forward to having some alone time to just talk! I am glad Ed didn't have to go , that Sydney went instead...

tsk, aka Hope McIcicle, my Mom uses the Preservision too. I have clipped $5 coupons from AARP and mailed them to her! Sounds like the 'half off the second one' would be the best buy of all. I too am curious about Kris's new project!  ;D ;D

Phyl, aka Tinsel McBlizzard. The 365 is beautiful and brrrr! Reminds me of living in Duluth MN! But back then I was in HS and kids don't hate the cold/snow so much as long as they have a snowmobile!  Love the green jar! I remember when you fell outside of Michaels! Signed  Bells McChilly!

Lani, well, Mike is moving slower, I do hope his back is feeling better though. He is one of those men that will not whine about pain unless it is serious pain. I am very thankful for Erin and his computer knowledge. I don't know where or how he learned all that. It certainly wasn't in school. I really think some people are born with something in their brain that understands all that stuff. Ed and Erin are both technically minded, but on different things, and neither one could boil eggd!  My pc is running better now than ever! I bet you are looking forward to New Years Eve!

E4E, yes, I am also wondering what Kris's new project is! You should know you can't leave us hanging with a statement like that! And it involves wood!

karen, I love it when checking out in the grocery store they ask you if you found everything you needed. I tell then that 'I came in for 2 things', and am checking out 12! I think one must have the perfect window to keep the squirrels from getting at the window bird feeder. We found just the right spot on Mom's front window, they can't quite reach it...

baz, thanks for the article on the pheasants, how funny that they run around keeping their harem in line! Kind of like the Moose!

kb, sorry you didn't get the wreath you ordered, but it doesn't mean that Scott has been forgotten. We all remember....

Lisa, Erin says my car is due for new tires soon... Egads! They are expensive these days!  Erin got me a Weather Tech cargo mat for Christmas, it looks so nice! I think I will try to get the mats for the front later!

Archaeology, Art & Wonders ยท The Swedish warship Vasa. It sank in 1628 less than a mile into its maiden voyage and was recovered from the sea floor after 333 years almost completely intact. Now housed at the Vasa Museum in Stockholm, is the world's best preserved 17th century ship

Morning all..

clynn- so will they be able to return the kitties to you today?..

I'm actually someone who doesn't believe you have to go visit your loved ones at grave site. I know Scott lives with me every minute of every day...and he knows that too.  I do wonder however if Wreaths Across America is somewhat of a scam. It get lots of money from large corporations and is a non-profit. the scam being taking relatively small donations from relatives/friends of their loved ones to guarantee a wreath.  It was just a few years ago, they laid 3.2 million wreaths. Surely every 290000 headstones in MN could have been covered. Anyway, it's a beautiful tradition but I won't be contributing my little financial resources to them again.

kb, found this about Ft. Snelling:  https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/some-ft-snelling-graves-will-be-without-wreaths-this-holiday-season-due-to-shortage/   Seems like not enough wreaths or volunteers and probably no way to honor the paid memorials separately...

Clynn yes we knew this....bottom line was poor planning and not having a coordinator...it doesn't say they couldn't honor the one's who paid that I read anyway.

Like I said previously, they marked down to honor Scott by comp next season.

But, I was told the same logistics snafu happened last year too when they had the wreaths...

Poor planning here in MN with the very large National Cemetary needs to be fixed and I'm trying to find out who picks the planner? State? VA?..Wreaths?...
Two years in a row of snafu's big time shows a lack of concern....we do have a lot of peeps in my state who are opposed to this laying of wreaths so sometimes the loud minority is whom is heard over doing the right thing?

Again I won't be paying for the 3rd time of not being honored...

Clynn, I am excited to see the kittens!  Harley, not so much and Kelsey may be over the moon!   Lol.   Do you have names yet?   Have you had any luck at the eye Dr. or the clicic?   Odd but bad time of year!
Lisa, chilly looking picture in your morning post!   Glad you have the tires! tsk, remember that about preservation prices from a few years ago!   Thanks for the reminder!

CLYNN   I love the idea of you just going over there!!!!!  Don't wait.   I loved my WeatherTech cargo mat and floor mats in my previous car.   This Subaru comes with something similar.  Boy that 17th century ship is something else.  They probably had to build the museum around it  LOL    YAY    Kitties to look forward to today?

KB   Loved those kitties  LOL  Of course I would call the cats Zorro and Ranger  ;) ;)   That savant was amazing as they all are.  I like your thoughts about Scott always being with you and not relegated to a headstone.  :-* :-*

Off in a bit to my niece's family ( the one with the "broadway" star - LOL)  for our Xmas - I'[m always the last one as her husband has 2 families in Grand Rapids and my niece's Mom and Dad ( two separate families) are in Green Bay/Door County area.  I bring subs for lunch. ;D  It's a busy time for them - They just got back yesterday afternoon.

Good morning Beakers!
Hi Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Omasawyer, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Tsk, enjoy your day with family!

Kb, love the mom and kitty!  :-* Lucy is amazing, bless her! I've watched a couple of her videos....
I have my own special feelings when seeing our loved ones that are no longer with us. There is no right or wrong way.

Clynn, love your morning pics and yes, DON'T WAIT! Go over there and get them moving! .... safe travels for Erin and Sydney. It will be good for them to have some quiet time. Your new kitties will help to pick up your spirits  :-* and liven Harley's life. Oh {{{Harley}}} You have no idea what's the New Year will bring!  LOL!! ... as for Mike, I was just in his office and talking to him, and he just fell asleep sitting in his chair. I've checked on him a couple of times, he's sleeping, but seems okay. I'm sure his body is catching up after all the traveling.  :) ... glad your pc is running great! I don't know what's I'd do without mine. You will love the Weather Tech mats! That was the first thing Mike invested in after he bought his new car. It's so sturdy and can handle Mike's heavy materials and dirty boots from the company's plant soil/lime debri and of course, Mike himself! LOL!  ;D... I would love to see the Vasa! I've been watching Abandoned castles and repairs. Right now I'm watching one on a convent. So cool. I'd love to explore all of them.

Phyl, thanks for wintery nature video.

Lisa, I thought you might like last night's pic. I remember our Samantha looking at us just like that from the top of our upstairs.  ;D.... I hope your car is set for your trip later in January.

Lani, made the bed and drank coffee, yes, that is enough! Wish we could travel the world and see all the old buildings being restored. I wish they had been able to restore The Bennett School/Halycon Hall instead of tearing it down... I have been watching it for a few years now, hoping someone would restore it.

kb, it sounds to me like Minnesota needs more volunteers, especially since they are second in size only to Arlington! Something you can't just snap a finger and get. People just aren't volunteering as much these days.  Sad.

tsk, karen I am so frustrated over just trying to get a referral to the retinal specialist...Ed has taken over. His low but assertive manly voice seems to be getting somewhere.  ::)  The kittens will soon be here! There is a male and a female, have narrowed down a few names, need to see which ones Kelsey can say...   Erin just sent a picture!

Package Secured! On their way here!

tsk, have a good time at your Christmas, again!

Clynn - adorbs on the kitties!

BTW, attorneys speaking in most of my CE hours for my profession always said if grandma or mom goes into the hospital she'll get better care if a man, any man, particularly in a suit comes to visit and speak with the Doc. So, doesn't surprise me when Ed may get somewhere for ya.

We needed a coordinator, we have many many volunteers here for all things...MN Nice ya know.
No, this was a logistics problem with the lack of a planner/coordinator. Who was responsible for getting that done. I don't know.

Lani - of course..I like both but don't require it to feel close or respectful.
