Well, I'm very disgusted. Just returned from Fort Snelling to visit Scott and there was NO wreath there. I'd bet you money that last year there was NOT one either as a sponsor told me there was a snafu last year. I didn't go at Christmas last year because of our weather.
I paid for a wreath to be placed on Scott's grave both years.

I won't do that again. Nope.

Here's some pics.:

Plenty of Veterans get wreaths laid without ever paying for one. Paying for one is supposed to guarantee it.

Erin got my computer fixed! Thank goodness for TeamPlayer (allows him to take control of my pc). I clicked on a 2024 calendar to print, my Norton was deleted and things kept popping up telling me the Russians were accessing my information and that I needed to let McAfee fix it. I don't have McAfee, (I have Norton 360) so I didn't click it.  What a mess, it took him a while to find the issue. He deleted my Edge and Chrome and re-installed them and blocked something that came from India...

Now I am waiting on my Doctor to call me so we can get the referral to the retinal specialists at Wolfe Clinic. Thank goodness it's only about a mile from here.

karen, I would share Erin with any of you if I could! Oh no, the bushy squirrel! We have had 2 small squirrels get into our deck, through the one little space by the eaves. I blocked the spaces (little birds came in from another spot) so nothing could get in while we were gone, looks like it worked!

Lisa, yes, Erin got his chocolate milk, but I think he really wanted to see his Mom & Dad! And his good Mom sent him $100 for the computer service!  I bet your Mama is so glad you will be visiting her! Love the picture of you and Sydney and the one of her in the bag under the tree! You are both beautiful!

Phyl, not easy to blow your nose with caution...  ::)  Lost and abandoned...know the feeling. The Dr. in Evansville said he would send the information of my visit to my eye Dr. and primary Dr yesterday. Neither of them has received it, so they say. Hope you get a check on your nose soon, does it feel pretty much normal?  Your green glass reminds me of Ed's friend Greg. His wife Sandy collected green glass, over the years Ed had found several pieces for her. She passed away in 2020 from breast cancer. Greg takes care of her collection like it was gold...

Lani, you and Mike will have a good New Year's Eve with both of your girls! How is he feeling? Hope the shot gave him relief. That Ring-necked Pheasant looks like he thinks he is a rooster! But maybe they sound off in the morning too...  :o

E4E, we are going to have steak for New Year's Eve too! And I think I will make some chili for New Year's Day! Hard to believe it will be 2024, seems like it was 2000 last month...

BL, hope you and Pip are cozy and safe wherever you are!

tsk, I would me miserable too, if I couldn't blow my nose!

Kelsey has always loved my sister Becky's slippers, she even tried to steal Becky's one year. Becky and Jennifer sent her a pair for Christmas!

The Munchkins! Bella with her new giant Squishmallow!
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

(((CLYNN))), Welcome Home!! Yikes on the PC problem!!  :o  Yay - Erin to the rescue!!  :-*  I LOVE the Christmas pics of Kelsey and her new slippers she loves so much, and Talon ad Bella with their new scooters, and her new giant Squishmallow!  Fun stuff!  :) :-* :-* :-*  I hope you can contact the Evansville doc's office and get them to follow-up quickly on sending all they were supposed to send to your Des Moines docs, and get your referral appt set at the Wolfe Clinic!

BL, I just saw the official 24-hr rainfall total for my area for yesterday was a little over 3 inches. Lots of places getting sooo much rain in the northeast - after lots of rain already just recently, too! Glad you and Pip and Kopje are all safe, snug, and hydrated.  ;) :D  Stay out of the mud - but if you must go for a mud bath, make sure you are spread-eagle, face up!  ;) We do not want to see a pic of your Big Green Machine tugging you out of a big mudhole at the end of a tether!!  :o

TSK, when I saw your comment about Lisa's nose, I never even put 2-and-2 together to realize you meant to say Phyl. LOL! Dumbo me!  ;D

Phyl, glad the laceration on your nose is mostly all gone, and your nose is hopefully healed, or very close. I fell 9 years ago and fractured my "eyebrow bone." Ouch. It took a long time for that bone to heal - and was tender to even a slight touch for a whole year. It sounds like your "nose bone" is healing quickly, so that's great! Is that bone that you hurt the tip of in your fall called the ethmoid bone?  Funny bone name. LOL. Hurting it is not funny, however! Enjoy the NYE pizza treats!

Lisa, prayers for your mom to sail through that surgery and recovery with no complications, and a quick recovery! On to Mardi Gras for her!  :) :-*

Eagles and Lani, steak for NYE sounds delish!  :)  I sliced my leftover rib eye steak from my Christmas dinner, and made small steaak sub sandwiches with it.

Karen, homemade gumbo and French bread! YUMMM!!  LOL on the sudden loud commotion turning out to be a squirrel - he must have decided to shake that bird feeder good, just to make sure nothing was left in it. LOL! Glad your window screen didn't get messed up.

Lani, loved your pheasant this morning - doing his rooster impersonation! LOL! Clynn's comment about it, and your gif made me look, and here's what I found about if Ring-Necked Pheasants crow like roosters, and about them flapping, which I never knew:

KAREN   I saw that this AM that Tom Smothers had died.  86?  Nice long life.  That is the one reason why we are not putting a window bird feeder up - We just have too many squirrels and they would wreck havoc with the screens

KB   That is shameful.  And I'm sure you will let them have it next year.  I bet they don't count on many folks following up.  You could always get your own?

CLYNN  Sounds like your computer got sick while you were away - Thank the Lord for Erin  :o   Sure hope you do not have to wait long for an appt!!!!  It's kind of an emergency, right?   We could use Erin if we had Team Player installed?  LOL   Kelsey is so cute with those slippers.  Nice idea for Becky to send  My 11 yr old great twin nieces wanted Squishmallows but they got smaller ones  LOLOL   Cool scooters.

LANI   Happy pheasant this AM  :)  I remember that from last year about Kona coming with Shannon.  Poor thing.

BAZI   And here I thought that pheasant was just doing a happy dance .  Couse I guess he could be happy if his harem was behaving  LOL

tsk - I let them have it this year...chatted with the board of directors.
I order it from them so as to acknowledge Scott with winter here typically being atrocious knowing I won't drive there. Only this year it wasn't. So yes, I could do it myself, but I appreciated the volunteers to do it for me when I'm not willing to drive. Plenty got free ones.

I won't pay for it again...nor bring my own unless the winters are like this one.
The board said they'd comp me next years...oh, okay. but now I'll have to go to see if they really did.

My point is they should do what they say, end of story.

{{{CLynn}}}  while I've cleaning BRs I've  done some thinking on your situ regarding the ER/doctor records, images and all. The only way, I can see right now,  for you to get the ER/doctor reports from Evansville is to contact your PCP and request a form giving your PCP/specialist permission to obtain the documents in 'question'. I believe your PCP could e-mail the forms to you for completion  with you hand carrying them to your Doc's office---or you could just personally go to doctor and get the forms fill them out there and doc could do the rest. Get copies before you leave there.

CLynn glad to hear PC issues resolved. I'll fight 'MS Edge' every step of the way...if I can. Still need to set the new Outlook up. Always something getting in the way.  >:(
I was suppose to hav e gotten from my PCP's NP a call from ENt that same week of accident. I got tired of waiting so the following Friday of doc's visit, I called doc's office and got the contact info for ENT and called them---turns out PCP never called the ENT so I just set appt up myself. The ENT got coviid and the rest is history.
How sweet of Becky to send Kelsey same slippers. Very thoughtful. Luv snaps of the Munchkins

Lisa     Your mom will be grateful l for your company and support. again safe travels T. Smothers was a hoot -amazing interpretation of Johnny  Tks for link

Karen thanks for news on  Tom  Smothers. RIP Tom.  Some squirrely excitement.

Lani Thanks---it'll over 5wks before I see the ENT when it should have been 3 days right after the injury.  ::)
Tks for info on Pheasants enjoyed the snap

KB sorry for the wreath confusion

Bazi 5 yrs ago I fell outside Michaels and hit my head on the curb---the impact ruptured the flesh over my eyebrow and cause same type of laceration on my nose. The plastic surgeon took over 60 + stitches. Now the brow hair completely covered the scar and look perfect. My nose hurts me alot.  I have another two weeks before I see a doctor of any knowledge. God only knows the damage I've done . No one tells me anything .

Tsk  won't have feeders on windows for same reason; tks for channel info on Chosen; sounds like a nother nice evening w/ Tom and Barb

Lisa/tsk, the Brothers along with N. Lear and a hand full of others were quite revolutionary!   Under the messages was tremendous humor!   Went to sams this afternoon to get Preservation and Tylenol arthritis!   They were out of the latter so came to home with canned chicken breast, A rotisserie  chicken, 2 salads, a box of  wonderland tomatoes and cotton candy grapes!
Now, back out tomorrow  for  the Tylenol!   Maybe Walgreens!

Tsk, early am trip tp the airport!  Can you go in pjs?

On average  one inch of rain equals fifteen  inches of snow!  Variable  due to temperatures. Wind, humidity, etc!  At any rate, Bl, you and Pip were lucky!
Clynn, good Christmas photos!  All gift recipients look happy with what Santa dropped off!
Lisa, you needed new tires for tge bridge as well as a trip to the coast!  Prayers for mama.
Seds!

Baz - I watched the BE segment on the Today Show this morning!   Sounds like a perfect way to finish up with leftover steak; to have a sub sandwich!

Phyl - Love the beautiful glass collection - a little of my price range tho. ;)   Yes, I had taken a few days off just to try and catch up on obligations over here.   That must be so hard for you to feel abandoned due to your Doctor being gone and then not knowing the status of your healing situation.  I know you are taking good care and that is good.

Tsk - Thank you!   Have a wonderful evening with Barb & Tom!

Clynn - Sorry for your computer issues - hopefully Erin was able to come help you and get you up and going! :)   I just read that Erin was able to take care of your computer problem.  Thank goodness for Erin!!    Kelsey looks so cute and comfortable with her new slippers!!  Your Munchkins are so cute with their Razor's(?) and such a cozy squishmallow for Bella!  Pretty Christmas tree!!

LisaG - Have you driven out in the weather conditions and noticed how well your new tires are handling?

Lani - So nice that Shannon will have NY eve with you guys even tho she will leave at midnight.  Wish the dogs got along, but completely understandable how you have to keep the dogs separated.

Karen - Yikes - scary moments with that squirrel!   Hope you find the Tylenol you want at Walgreens!  I love our local Walgreens - it is always clean and organized!

Kb - I am so sorry for your Scott not having a wreath after you have paid for him to have one.  :( :(

Today, we went to the cemetary and placed flowers for my brother and my Dad.  We also went and purchased some 'skirt steak' that we will have for our NY eve dinner!  Then we came back into our town and went to Lowes.  Hubby is doing a new project and we purchased some wood.

Beakers have a good night - sleep well.

Kb, I agree with Tsk. I'm sorry, I know it must hurt not to see a wreath on Scott's grave. When you paid for Scott to be remembered and be part of this magnificent project. Contact the organization and let them know. You can buy one with them next year and let them know you will be going to see Scott or buy your own. Then you will know he received one.  :) It's sad to know so many did not receive a wreath. I'll check on donating to them.... okay I just read your post to Tsk. You've got it resolved. sending hugs.

{{{Clynn}}} You are so blessed to have your own in-house Tech! LOL! Glad Erin was able to get your computer up and running. Mike is moving slower than he did after the shot last year. But, he's always up and positive.  :) ... Love the Joyous look on Kelsey! She loves the slippers so much!   ;D. awww Bella and her giant Squishmallow  :-* and the munchkins and their new scooters!  ;D ... prayers you get your appointment to the clinic asap!!!  :-*

Tsk, Enjoy your evening and dinner with Barb/Tom. You have an early wake up on New Year's Day!   :)

Baz, so basically my beautiful pheasant is shouting "Ladies, Ladies, Pleeeaaassseeee, let's have order!!!  Cool! Thanks  ;D

SED Karen and Piper, Mike and I always enjoyed watching the Smother Brothers. Yummy items from Sam's!
