Lani - I had that same thought today, as your morning pic!  ;D

tsk - Enjoy your Christmas with niece's family, so nice of you to bring subs.

karen - I am loving all the morning winter cups I have been finding on Pinterest.

kb - LOL, don't need a DNA test.  What interesting markings.

clynn - Oh no, how frustrating that they have not sent your referral to the specialist yet. But, glad to read that Ed is getting somewhere with it.   Yes, the tires were not cheap.  Oh, what a great prezzie from Erin!  I have the Weather Tech floor mats in my Honda Pilot.  I love them.
What a beautiful old ship!  OMG, the kitties are adorable!

Phyl - LOL, how cute the snowman name --- I'm Magic McSlushy  :D

tsk, karen I am so frustrated over just trying to get a referral to the retinal specialist...Ed has taken over. His low but assertive manly voice seems to be getting somewhere.  ::)  The kittens will soon be here! There is a male and a female, have narrowed down a few names, need to see which ones Kelsey can say...   Erin just sent a picture!

Package Secured! On their way here!

Well Clynn I think your evening is going to be much better with that package of cuteness overload arriving !  :)  ;D  8)  :-*

BL, I can't wait! I wish I knew how to post the last video the lady sent, they are so playful!

But not now, sleeping on the trip...

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

(((Clynn))), yay! The new little kitties will be at your house soon!!  Let the fun begin!   :D  They're so pretty, and look how sweet they are sleeping like that. ((Harley))  :-* :-* :-* I hope you have your appt to the retinal specialist soon! Sheese.  ::)  Hugs to you. Hang in there!  :-*

I walked 35 minutes today. I walked to the heavily wooded marsh, where the kayak launch is that goes into the intracoastal waterway... I wanted to see how high the water level was after getting over 3 inches of rain in 24 hours on Wednesday.  The floating kayak launch was almost as high as the footbridge to it. It would've been a good day for someone to launch from there - water level high, sunny, cool, and windy - would have a nice tailwind in one direction. LOL.

Waving to All the Beakers! Take care, All.  :D

Finally got the appt set with the retinal specialist, 1/9! They said it would take 2-3 hours! Go to my regular Dr Tuesday morning for all the blood work and stuff...

Baz, yes they are sweet kitties, I can't wait to see them!  Good for you and your walking!

Lani, I would love to let you hold them! Have to get serious about names now!

CLYNN   Halcyon Hall - I think I remember that place from a precious discussion - Very spooky and shameful it has deteriorated without some tender care.    Can't wait to hear the kitties names.  I want to give them kisses  LOL   Now of course a weekend for Ed to continue his pursuits....sigh.   Reading on,,,  YAY   You got your appt but don't know why they aren't treating like an emergency.  If anyone you see on the 9th so much as whispers - "You should have come in sooner" - You know what to do  :o :o ::) ::) :P :P    Cool roadway - Hope the rails are high  LOL

BAZI   Tromso - very quaint - Dirt road?  Looks really cold - Everyone bundled.

TSK, not a dirt road! LOL. Historic city of 77,000. Yep, it's cold... above the Artic Circle, by about 400+ km or so... and this time of year, you know, the sun never rises.  If you click on the link I posted, it gives some summary info and overhead views of the town. It's the largest city in northern Norway. Here's a better description of Tromso:

KB. Why dont you volunteer to head up the wreaths program for Ft. Snelling?  It Might be an interesting endeavor!

Clynn,  i cant wait for the stories of Kitty antics in West DesMoines!   Sure they are starting already! I’m  not sure Harley will teach them the best habits but hope he turns into a great big brother!   Any progress on the names?

Baz, interesting Norwegian town and area!  Thanks for sharing!
Lani, when I have had shots in my back they said many need to get a second for great results.  I have done one and two and two works better.  Think they are a month apart!   Hate them!  Lol

Well, Erin's just left! They went out to eat after they brought the kittens in and the Munchkins stayed here. They loved playing with the kittens, and then after I fed the kids we couldn't find the kittens!  I swear, we searched everywhere, even rooms they really couldn't have gotten into. For over an hour! When Erin and Sydney came back they started looking and Sydney found them! They had gotten in a basket in the back of the lower shelf of one of the end tables, curled up together and went to sleep... It was so cute, and I found a lot of dusty things I need to clean...  ::)

karen, there's the first story...  ;D

I am worn out, so good night dear Beakers!

CLynn
Hurrah! You have your appointment  Way to go Ed!  Happy and relieved for you. Prayers that all goes well for you
And, the kittens  are  so sweet/cute ---delightful furry bundles of joy that feel like heaven against the cheek -- very nice of Erin/Sydney to  bring them home to you.
Interesting bit about Swedish warship Vasa; interesting Bennett School..

KB Karen's idea---you as   a  planner/coordinator for wreaths ; interesting markings on the cats; great video of  Lucy playing Chopin piece have seen some of her playing before, tks

Karen  That's a great suggestion--KB-would be fantastic.

Tsk luv my Weather Tech sink mats; sounds like a fun evening w/ niece and her family

Clynn, yay on getting your appointments set up!  Bring on the kitties!!   :D :-* :-*  Seeing that great picture you posted of Atlantic Road, that connects that string of islands in Norway reminded me...

My nephew (the father of the 2 sets of twins) is on vacation in Norway now. He arrived in Tromso, Norway, which is also an island, and is above the Arctic Circle, at midnight-ish,  2 nights ago.

This link gives some nice views and info:
https://www.visitnorway.com/places-to-go/northern-norway/tromso/ (When this webpage loads, scroll down to see a slideshow, just keep scrolling down the page for more slides.)

And here are 2 pictures my nephew took of that pretty town when he arrived, attached...

Thanks for the snaps from you nephew. And, for the info  on Tromso, Norway. Very interesting.
