Clynn, Love the shovel art.... Shannon was the only one that played an instrument in the school band, she played the flute until she was 14 and then became involved in sports.... the train ride looks like fun for families... best wishes Lola and Charlie!  :-*.  Bridal Veil Falls, Colorado, is beautiful... I hope you get your plants in.  ;D

Phyl, sweet nature video of the Black-necked Grebe... I was blocked from reading the article on toxic birds.... talon's crossed your new dishwasher is installed....

BL, enjoyed your morning videos... the 197 year old snowblower was amazing! Thanks for the music... beautiful sentiments.

Kb, Pinocchio lizard!  ;D ... flag looks great. {{{Scott}}}

Oldguy, thanks for videos... and helping with a link to Phyl's article... interesting about birds of New Guinea that carry a toxic poison.... learning more and more each day in the Beak.

{{{Tig}}} No copay!  ;D

Tsk, Enjoy your visit with friends and lunch! ... TRR loves their rescues... so far 3F's seem to be improving. They have such adorable faces.

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers! It's CATURDAY again!

Lani, serene sunset ocean picture, the birds are coming in... I love riding a train, haven't done so in years. Cathy and I took the Amtrack a couple of times to visit Becky and Jennifer in Chicago. Mom & Dad took a train to Oregon once, they loved it. We have the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad close by, we rode it several times when the kids were kids' Erin was really into Thomas the Tank Engine and they have a shop at the station. It also has a dinner car, we went once on our anniversary. Beautiful in the fall!

BL, my Dad put the flag out every morning and brought it in every evening, I think Reveille and Retreat were in his head each time. He did it until he just couldn't do it anymore. The Air Force played Reveille in the morning and Retreat and Taps every evening and night. Mom's help puts the flag out for Memorial Day and Veterans Day for her.  https://www.todaysmilitary.com/life-in-the-military/customs-practices/reveille-retreat-taps

kb, your flag looks good!

BL, loved all the videos!! Thanks!  The bear cubs is my favorite!

Lani, lots of babies at TRR! Several 3-fingered! Love the cuddle huddle!

Trail Ridge Road in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park will remain closed over Memorial Day weekend due to challenging weather conditions.  Despite earlier progress, snowplow crews have faced setbacks caused by strong winds, which have led to low visibility, snow drifting back over cleared areas, and a thick layer of ice beneath the snow.
The road, which reaches elevations of about 12,180 feet, is the highest continuous paved road in North America and connects Estes Park and Grand Lake.
With snow and freezing temperatures forecast above 10,000 feet, park officials are urging visitors to stay updated on conditions and be prepared to adjust travel plans.

CLYNN  Love that very close shot of the cat profile.  :o   How nice that Mom gets help with her long time flag tradition. :)  The kids look so cute on their last day of school.  I see Bella has her glasses on.  Are those different from her first pair?

OLDGUY    When I right click on my address bar I do not have the google lens option.  Just  " always show full URLS"

Farmer's Market opens today in town and I have a trip to make to the closest animal shelter to bring a whole box of Iams cat food to donate.  Lulu will not touch it but have experimentally discovered she prefers Fancy Feast - anything with gravy  LOLOL

One minute video of cats being dramatic with each other.

https://www.sciencealert.com/new-jersey-hawk-develops-clever-hunting-strategy-using-traffic-signals

Interesting article about a West Orange NJ Cooper's Hawk who timed his prey killing with a pedestrian crossing signal/sound. Gave it enough time to hide behind line of cars, quick turn after the sound with enough time to beat the advance of cars, and hit a home's yard filled with birds due to outdoor parties.

Zoologist tracked this phenomena 18 times after first noticing it.

Happy Saturday all, be back later.

PHYL   Love the AM photo  LOL   Yay, No longer scrub woman's hands  ;D   Bastet and Serval  :o

LANI   What a fun day for you.  Was at the nursery for a brief stop.  the ferns have taken over where I plant my catnip.  So got more catnip and will plant in a pot for the patio.  Every time I come in from the outside she runs to me and looks in my hand to see if I   have brought her a treat. LOL

KB   Favorite - the black and white cat who was going to tap the other cat and changed its mind and started cleaning its head  LOLOL
Pretty  clever hawk strategy.

(((Pauli aNd Charlie)))
Prayers for the families in Kentucky and St,Louis!
terrible storm damage!
Busy here!  Mickey a great help!

And prayers for the families in Virginia!! There were also 2 deaths in Virginia, among the 20+ deaths from that same group of storms that killed many people in Kentucky and Missouri. One of those 2 Virginia deaths was a woman who died when a tree fell on her while she was in her car. That was very, very, very near where my niece lives, though my niece didn't know that woman personally. Very sad for all who were affected by those storms... and many others since that outbreak.
