Lani, well, the Signal Station chick certainly looks big! And fluffy! It's comforting, knowing the rangers watch them so carefully and make sure they have the best chance when they leave for the ocean! Thanks for the Here Comes Summer, I played it 3 times and sang along with it!  Here's another good Summer oldie:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvD0_aeAf2E    Ed has been gathering art supplies for Bella for this summer, she loves to paint, so he has a lot of canvases for her! Yesterday I found Harry Potter Goldfish crackers at the store, so I got them each a bag. ButterBeer is the flavor, butterscotchy! (I bought myself a bag...). ::) ::)

Phyl, well, dang on the dishwasher! I hate it when people don't keep their word, or at least let you know if there is a problem. I have had that experience a few times! Love the  vase of pretty sunflowers! My Grandparents, always had a huge garden. They lived in the country, and had 4 kids during the Depression, so they had to gather all they food they could. Grandma had two big chest freezers and shelves and shelves of canned goods. They had a cow for milk and chickens for eggs, and pigs to butcher.

Lisa, haven't got my mailbox flowers planted yet, it's been too cold and windy! Tomorrow will be warmer!

tsk, Ed has four tomato plants, a watermelon and a cantaloupe. He tries onions but hasn't had good luck with them so far. He has some flowers for him and Bella to plant in the wagon. Zinnias mostly! And some sunflowers for by the fence. The wisteria is huge, over the fence. Almost touching the ground on the other side. We need to rein it in!

kb, your Jeep looks good, now get in it and drive! Erin and Sydney have a Jeep Wrangler Willys that is white, they love it!

BL, I saw that article on the grounded cargo ship, that man was very lucky. Don't you think happenings are happening that very rarely happened before! Airplanes and ships! Yes, they are running amok!

#BREAKING: A small plane crashed into a San Diego neighborhood during foggy weather early Thursday, setting about 15 homes on fire as well as vehicles, and forcing evacuations along several blocks, authorities said. Live updates: https://ktla.com/.../small-plane-crashes-into.../

Trempealeau ,Wi nest - 5/21/25 in the early morning
Mom and kid did not eat much last night since Mr T took the old fish and mom did not catch dinner in the nasty weather yesterday. So this morning they both finished the whole fish that good mama brought 😊 for breakfast

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

clynn - We have been cooler with the rain the past two days.  So sad about the plane crash.

Phyl - Oh no, sorry about the dishwasher not being delivered and installed.  Pretty sunflowers today.

Have a good night, everyone  :)

BL, I just read your tree story. Whoa! Glad you were okay afterwards.

Oldguy, Oh and okay! Thank you for explaining about lost posts.

Lani, Aly going from playing violin to drums! Wow then clarinet. Nice!

clynn, I have 3 granddaughters. 17 (soon 18 in a few weeks), 15 and 10. Awww to you having Talon and Bella on Wednesday's during the summer. Enjoy! Those younger years go soooo fast. My dad used to say, Tempus Fugit. True!

tsk, Cool to you were for Jamal all the way too! Very nice you have 2 great nieces nearby.

Lisa, True to auditions are fun to watch.

kb, Nellie looks awesome!

Phyl, Darn to dishwasher.

Lani and clynn, TY for the prayers for Charlie you mentioned in today's posts. They worked. His ICD almost shocked his heart again today but the timing mechanism allowed for the implanted device (ICD) to correct his heart rhythm on its own. Whew! That is/was so scary when it happens. Prayers appreciated. Thank you God and Jesus.

Letting ya'll know were heading to cabin tomorrow morning returning Monday or Tuesday. I'll be driving there and back. Some family is going too on Saturday.

Take care everyone.

BL   That over head shot of the barge  - what were the odds????  Good grief.

PHYL   Seriously?  No one called or anything??  Hope Jim got an answer tonight.

CLYNN  Your grandma and grandpa lived off the earth .  Think during the depression many had gardens.  Were they your maternal grandparents?   Sure wish I could grow sunflowers.-(squirrels)   Last year I had to cover my black-eyed susans and my tomatoes and my hosta from the deer.  I just walked the garden and noticed some chewing on a hosta  ::) ::)  I end up having a sea of white ghosts.
With all the newest technology these days you would think these air and sea accidents would be rare and not increasing.

PAULIE   Good sign for Charlie  :-*   Enjoy your family Memorial weekend at the cabin.  Am sure the noise will keep the bears LOL

KAREN/LISA   Was that in your yard???  WOW  They had to have a good aim!

He writes: "Bleeding of one"

Of course a bleeding heart plant flower.

Tsk, I thought it was interesting that the Albie Rangers decided to sub feed SSTrig too. They follow the weight charts very carefully.... I would love to hold an albie chick at this stage. Are they really as soft and fluffy as they look.

BL, Mike being a Navy vet said the same thing after so many ship accidents.

Phyl, beautiful sunflowers.... sorry about the dishwasher, maybe tomorrow?

Clynn, Love Chad & Jeremy  ;D .... San Diego plane crash was terrible.  :'( ... Mrs T is doing a fantastic job, I pray next year she gets a loyal mate... geez Mr T.  >:( .

Paulie, I didn't say Aly could play any of the instruments well. LOL! The best she could do was Peanut, Peanut butter, Jelly on the violin... as for drums, she thought she was Ringo Starr. LOL! .. our ears!!! Thank God we had a basement with a thick ceiling.  ;D ... Safe travels and having a lovely weekend with family, sending prayers for Charlie.  :)

Lisa, Thanks for posting Karen's video. I thought the tree was going to hit the fence.

karen How did Piper handle the tree activity?

Kb, stunning pic

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I have wondered that too, are those fluffy-looking Albies as soft and fluffy as they look!  They seem pretty docile, used to being picked up and held. But very heavy! Just like eagles, it's hard to tell how big they are until you see them being held by a human!  Erin tried the violin when he was in 3rd or 4th grade, as did all the kids in the class. I think it was something set up with the music store we had to rent the violin from! Then it was the clarinet. That was also a bomb, and the end of his venture into musical instruments! Great good night picture!

Phyl, sweet goodnight picture!

tsk, the only grandparents we ever knew were Mom's parents, I love listening to Mom talk about her childhood with her two sisters and baby brother. They lived in a small house by the Bon Pas Creek, with no electricity. Dad came home on leave with a friend from Bone Gap, then the blind date! Mom said Dad was coming to visit one evening and Grandma sent her over to Aunt Clara's to get a coffee cup with a handle and no chips!  Never knew Dad's parents, his Mother finally contacted him after 40 or so years of no contact at all. I could never call her Grandmother...

Paulie, I hope you and Charlie have a wonderful weekend at your beautiful cabin! And you have guests coming Saturday! Sounds like a good time is coming! Would love to see some pictures of the inside of your cabin in the woods!

Lisa, I am determined to get those Vincas and Dianthus flowers planted today! The warm-up starts today! 69 for the high! Our temps have been 10 or more degrees lower than normal this last week.

Cass Scenic Railroad WV - Train rides to Whittaker Station begin next Sunday and continue Memorial Day Monday! Our shortest excursion at just two hours long, is great for those limited on time or with families.

About 60 miles from Iris at Hellgate is the nest of Lola and Charlie at Charlo Montana. They are incubating three eggs which were laid earlier this month.
