Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, another cuddle puddle of baby sloths! Prayers for all of them...  There is always something that needs to be fixed when you own a home! Yesterday there was a crew taking a tree down two houses down and the guy came over to ask if we needed any tree work while he was in the neighborhood. Well, of course we do! I had them trim the oak tree, the crabapple and a couple of pine branches that were touching the house. And 3 tall Juniper (?) bushes that were half dead. $1,000, which was a bargain!

kb, there was something I saw on tv earlier this week about the Antonov, it is used to fly heavy equipment like helicopters and tanks overseas. It is hard to imagine the size of it! https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=the%20antonov%20on%20tv%20lately&mid=1212BD9841D3E8F408631212BD9841D3E8F40863&ajaxhist=0

Paulie, I talked to Mom Wednesday and forgot to ask her about the maternity ward at Holloman AFB!  I have made myself a note to ask her next time we talk, I am curious!  Do you ever watch the Maine Cabin Masters show? I bet you would love wo win a cabin makeover by them. They seem to be able to do a lot with not much $$$. Nothing fancy, a cabin shouldn't be fancy!

Lisa, oh my!  What are the odds of that kind of accident happening? So glad your car wasn't damaged! I remember years ago when we lived in Sedalia Mo, a rendering truck had an accident on a small bridge. They had to detour traffic because it was basically grease all over the road, cars were sliding! YUK! Hope the rest of your trip is/was uneventful!

tsk, we didn't get much snow, but wow, the wind! It all melted yesterday except where it drifted. We have a small drift by Ed's car, about 2' high!  Good weather coming, plenty of spring rain. Next Friday forecast is for 75!  The wind has calmed down to 14mph for today!

A BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE: After Big Bear added two bald eagles earlier this week, a third eaglet is on its way.
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

KAREN  Ouch!   Check that off the list!  :-*

OH LISA   That could have been so much worse but how timely that you found a car wash.  Safe trip today and hopefully without incident!!  Scary about the SC trouper  :o  :o

KB   That plane is a 747 right?  Do they still make those or do you suppose this is a recycle from the passenger version?  HUGE
Wet snow is a bear.  A good amt for for our little Toro is 3-4"   How did you find the husband and wife team??

PHYL   Love a low tide landscape. 365

CLYNN  Peach of a morning today  ;D   Boy, I'll say that was a bargain on that tree trimming price.  That is one $$ task to be done.  Thanks for that video on the Antonov.  HUGE  Wingspan - football field.  Really gives it perspective.

tsk - no the Antonov is NOT a 747. It's built in Russia and is the largest fixed wing aircraft in the world.

Yeah, I found the wife/husband team on my communities fb page....they only charged me 60 bucks and it took them almost an hour...well deserved although she did say "wow what a big deck" you might want to call it a basketball court as your pics didn't show how big it is!....LOL

Let me add this to a couple of comments in Beak re Hawaii/Maui recently.  Lani, Clynn, Phyl, and lots of interest in reports from islands by OG.  I am certified with Maui Visitors Bureau (actually all 5 islands); many friends/business contacts keep me informed and in the loop.  What I'll miss visiting is KoKo's on Lahaina beach.  Can sit for hours watching the whales pay and exercise in the bay (they also made fantastic MaiTai and good pupu).  Hours well spent - as mentioned those businesses right on the water are not going to be allowed to be replaced.  KoKo's was actually partially over the water.  No, I haven't been back since fire.

But as I said, locals keep me in touch.  There's also a group of mainland travel advisors who share information around.  That brings me to the sites a local in Lahaina, Jessie, sent out to give his up-to-date and personally involved vids of the west wide of Maui island.  There are two, one leads from first to another.  A bit long, but very thorough.

KB - you have the wrong plane in your picture yesterday - the plane that landed yesterday  was the Antonov 124, which was the predecessor to the 225.  The only AN-225 was destroyed at the start of the Ukraine/Russia war 3 years ago.  The AN-124 is still a large cargo plane - it can carry 17% more cargo weight than the C-5A Galaxy that the US Air Force uses.  Here is a short detail comparison...

The AN-225 did land at MSP in 2014
World's largest plane takes off from Minneapolis airport   -   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjj2-YwaRhg
The easy to identify feature is that the  AN-124 has 4 engines the AN-225 has 6 engines.
Here is a video that describes the AN-225 and the efforts to construct a new plane...

of our pair's four eggs.  Sadly one egg 'ripped'  .  But our three eaglets thriving.  :-*

Gotcha. Just did a quick google of pics of the plane not knowing the exact one that was here at MSP.....still didn't know our airport could handle a plane that big...Now I know

the video I watched yesterday was posted to X from the actual airport peeps. It was not available to copy video and stated due to ownership by the airport whatever that meant.

Howdy Beakers!!

Checking in before I head to bed.  I had a nice drive till I got closer to Atlanta....traffic accidents, road construction, and this craziness happened to me.  I was minding my business waiting to get on an exit on I-85 getting closer to the hotel, and a guy in a truck in the lane to the right of me wanted to get over to the left of me.  I moved up so he could go behind me, and when he went behind a box fell out of the back of his truck.  It was full of cleaning supplies, well here comes a car going about 80mph and runs over a bleach bottle and it busts all over my drivers side of the car and windshield.  Thank goodness for windshield wipers, but I could not see a things out of the drivers window and lordy the bleach smell was coming inside the car. There was a good car wash near the hotel, so I went there first and got my car cleaned up, cause I was worried that bleach would eat at my paint.

...

(((Lisa))), I'm so glad you got to your destination ok yesterday, eventually! So glad the bleach spray wasn't worse than it was, and that you had your window up!! I hope you turned your air/heat system to recirculate, so it would not bring in any air from the outside. Those bleach fumes could've been dangerous to breathe!! So glad you'ro okay and you got to a good car wash soon after, and hope the rest of your trip is uneventful, except for the good events!! Take care, and smooth travels.

BAZI   Somehow my town sits in an oasis and we have not had any snow even tho predicted.  Now for tomorrow there is up to a 94% chance that we will get snow from 8 AM to 6 PM   We shall see!!  I would love the precipitation.

TSK, yes, that is the snow forecast I was referencing in my post yesterday. I know you've had a big snow deficit this winter! Hope this one will be quick, and not a lot to clean up, and that your area gets some good moisture out of it.

Happy FRI DAY, Beakers!  ;D

Lani, yay for your snow!!! I saw the forecast for your area on the Weather Channel yesterday, and wondered how close you would be to the largest number of inches they were showing might happen in that region... so let us know how much you think you end up getting after it's through. I haven't had a chance to look at the weather update today for your area. I know that area needs that moisture!! Maybe you will get a dessert bloom this Spring after all!! Fingers crossed! Your pictures are great - so pretty!! Tell Spideycat Norman to stay put!!   ;D  Build a fire and relax and watch the pretty snowfall... with a hot toddy.  ;) :D

((Karen)), glad that's a done deal!! You and Piper enjoy your weekend!  :)

BL, I don't know if you were too far west, or the space debris' path too low in the sky at its distance, to see the debris/fallout from the breakup of the SpaceX unmanned test flight out of Texas last night... so many parts lighting up and streaking across parts of the Caribbean sky, that was seen and videoed by so many people in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and parts of Florida. Watch out!  :o

I'm heading out to run some errands...

Have a great day, Beakers!  :)

PUFF  Nice to have contacts sending links to what you have to know.  Thanks

OLDGUY   The comeback video is amazing.

PHYL   Oh no one of the  Big Bear 4 eggs "ripped"? - broke?

LANI    LOLOL  Your snow is the beautiful kind  ;)  It started here about noon but is a very wet snow and not sticking yet anyway.
That feeder looks to be a bit off the porch?

BAZI   Our 8 AM snowfall as predicted did not start in my yard til around noon and is combo of rain and snow and not sticking so far.  I'll take moisture any way we can get it.
