CLYNN    What a beautiful AM post  ;D   Chicken raising not allowed in my town.   Was at Costco this AM and next door is an Aldi's
Eggs $5.79 vs $7.99 at my regular grocery.  Bananas MORE than my regular grocery and no one can beat Trader Joes for bananas.
Wonder how they come up with those millions of years old maps!    May get some snow this afternoon.

PHYL   Darling 365.  Loved the one-eyed look  LOL  I voted yesterday.  Hard to pick but went for the California quail  but any would be good winners.

LISA   Yes, windy and picking up as the day goes on.  Done with my 4 errand stops by noon so am done with my outside day.  ;D

KB   Too bad about the fence - You just have to wonder!   You got a good bunch of snow.  I usually like to measure off the top of the flat generator.

PUFF   Big Bear was on ABC afternoon news yesterday.  These were obviously news people who had never seen a nest before.  Hope it encourages others to check in on Big Bear.  It is how I first knew about Decorah - saw it on the AM news and the rest is history.

BL    Need a day to chill anyway  ;D

LANI   That great potoo would just blend right into a tree.  I always wonder how many owls I have passed on hiking trips  LOL

Howdy Beakers! :)

Zip's in the safe room, away from any potential falling very tall trees, biding her time during the high winds, till the storms have passed. All good here, so far. She's waiting for that cat to let go.   ;D ;) 8)

Have a safe afternoon, All, and a restful night. Peace. SED.  :-*

no bounce

I was out for an hour and a half. I made a narrow path down the sidewalk to the garage and shoveled in front of the door. I made a narrow path on the patio to the north side of the house. Luckily there was a path made by the wind so I could go to the other end of that side to check on the furnace exhaust area which needed clearing! I also made a path to the front steps and was shoveling them and the porch in front of the door when the Amazon delivery person stopped out front! Lucky I was there. 1. the delivery was scheduled for tomorrow. 2. I asked her to please walk the box around to the back porch, which she did. Which is where it is supposed to be delivered. Of course the box was sitting in melted snow when I got back there to take it inside. I then pulled some snow off the roof on the west side below a huge drift. I hope to get to the area below the two drifts in the valleys out front tomorrow when there is less wind.

I'm pooped.

No snow here  😆
an piper and I slept through the rain and the big wind As it blew through from west to east, headed for Baz And Lisa. There’s evidently came in last night. Wow that was a pleasant way to go through the storm today is sunny with a high of 81° but there is wind water is not standing around anywhere so I guess the serious drought warnings are true. It would be nice to see that designation ended.
I hope all the bakers stay safe, warm and dry, except bl. Who needs a little bit of a cool breeze those were shoveling. Be careful and try not to do too much. It will melt. Do you be careful I did see a TV presentation of the Eagles but I’m not sure of the station.  It had to of been NBC, CBS for the weather channel, but there was a beautiful picture of the nest with the birds in it, and it was delightful to see
I am still watching southwest Florida but there’s no eggs just a beautiful nest with high rails and a lot of fluff in the middle. Perfect for a few babies to play in and eat. I am not sure there will be any eggs in there and it’ll have to be redone next year, even if it isn’t used now.
Have A nice evening and see you later

Bounce

The sun has been working hard to melt. Camper just went out to work on the driveway and luckily the little snow pup is able to handle the heavy wet snow. What a trooper!

Time to make dinner.

Tsk, I've wondered the same thing about owls in our national forest. Sometimes I can hear them make their calls, but can't see them. They blend into the trees so well.
