Good Morning
Puff, cursive hasbeen disapoearing for several years. In some of the areas that removed it from the curriculum, it is being replaced which is I guess a good thing. I was very disturbed to hear that it was being removed from the educational process and then began thinking that perhaps there is going to be less and less of a need for this, as time goes by so many things are thought to be disappearing, such as the use of checks that need to write books as we have computers to type on and so many other things to communicate with it is of course disturbing to think that people may no longer be able to read all documents. It’s a dilemma OK things that are disturbing in this world are A1 scam, phone calls, etc. etc. etc. but then keys will become a thing of the
As more and more people change to keypad locks which can become problematic if batteries wear out or the power goes out, depending on how the keypad is operating, but that’s the future
Clynn, I was thinking about the train that runs across Canada just the other day so funny you posted. I have known people who took that trip and find it absolutely fascinating and recommended it highly. I never did do it but wish I had the scenery is supposedly spectacular.
I participated in a wedding years ago in Wayzata, Minnesota, Astoria sister /Roommate was married in June, Still no ice on the lake I went back to Chicago and she moved to California
Prayers that all the breaks and sprains injuries and illnesses and bad weather. I’ve gone in a flash it is all been going on for too long. Lisa be careful doing your errands today and hope the weather clears before you leave Thursday.
Mighty Mike and Flossie we’re very busy this morning bringing sticks to the nest for about two hours. The rails are both off well and the Nashville is full of soft materials ready for a new baby time. We’ll see if that’s Portillo’s or if it has to be redone next year.
When he thanks for the RB report they are always so good and complete

ℹPip Watch 2025: Initial Pip confirmed 3/2/25 at 15:09.

Congratulations Jackie and Shadow and the entire eagle family! We’ve been waiting for almost 3 years.❤
Jackie and Shadow’s previous chick Spirit pipped exactly 3 years ago to the date.

🐣Hatching is a long process that may take a few days: https://bit.ly/3UVVy8D

ℹThe eggs have many beautiful and interesting markings (dirt, fluff, blood from lay, imperfections etc.). This is completely normal, but may make the correct Pip Identification difficult. If you suspect a pip, keep an eye on that spot. A real pip grows over time & becomes a larger, more obvious Pip Site.

ℹBEWARE OF PWI: "Pip Watch Itch" manifests as an urgent need to study all egg rolls frame-by-frame & pronounce every dirt speck or fluff a Pip. It is highly transmissible, occurs seasonally, and has no known cure.💊😁

🥚Egg1 laid 1/22 17:05, Egg2 laid 1/25 16:44, Egg3 laid 1/28 17:43

ℹResident Bald Eagle male: Shadow (unbanded) since May 2018. Estimated hatch year: 2014
ℹResident Bald Eagle female: Jackie (unbanded) since September 2016. Estimated hatch year: 2012

Lori, thanks for this great news!  :)  YAY for (((Jackie and Shadow's egglet pip))) !!  Talons crossed!!  :-* :-* :-*  And, LOLOL on that PWI condition - Pip Watch Itch.  Yep, it's highly contagious!  ;D ;D ;D  P.S. Not BL's Pip.  ;) ;D

BL  So the dart landed in Belize?   Have you been there before?    I'm seasick!  :o 8)  Is Pip fishing too?

Nope the dart trip pick (DTP) is only for the contiguous lower 48 states.
We each get one throw and choose one 'prospective location' we might head to.
Both of our B-Day darts this year landed in Idaho, one very close to the River Of No Return Wilderness.
We'll have to see about that outing .. that's some seriously rough country as the name implies and would take some very good logistical planning and knees.  ;)

https://mapper.acme.com/?ll=45.06794,-114.80095&z=12&t=U

Actually this trip to Belize was planned for 3 years ago, but Covid-19 put a kink in our travel plans.   :(
Pip is fishing, snorkeling, beach lounging AND SHOPPING on this trip.   ::)

I have been here once before back in the early 90's. It's a magical place as Puff said.   8)
Old neighbors of ours are/were from Costa Rico and Mr. Hose turned me onto both C.R. & Belize.   8) 8)

BL, what a great trip for you and Pip!!  So much fun!! Just please don't get stabbed by any bills flying by your head or in the boat!! For real!!  :o  Meanwhile, I know y'all are really enjoying all that fun, despite your sore forearms... and wallet.  ;) :D  I came this close to moving to Costa Rica in the mid-to-late 1990s... with thoughts of building and opening a retreat of sorts. Actually got as far as a rough design of the wooded waterside retreat, using some of my long-ago past life architecture and design background. I still see it, and am "there," in my mind's eye, often. I never made it to Belize - a friend and former co-worker's husband used to spend much time in Belize visiting his brother, who lives in an American ex-pat seaside community there, for many years now. I haven't been in touch with that former colleague in a long time, but last I knew, her husband was looking to make a permanent move there, to Belize. You're killing me... Oh, Calgon...

PUFF   I know that question may have been retorical but I've had very good luck with PTs from Illinois Bone and Joint as well as Athletico.  You doc may have his favorites.

LANI   Awww  Such a cute baby voice on SSTrig  :D     If Lulu is not waking me up by 5:45 to 6:00AM  I worry, what is she doing?  LOL
Wonder if this time will change when we put the clocks ahead this weekend.    Ahhh  I agree - a cool way to give meds.  Right - a cat - no way.

PHYL  I ask like Lani - Newman?  I don't know how to recognize the falcons.

Lani, LOL! Love that!! Yes, wouldn't it be great if it worked with cats! ... And parrots!  ;D  Loving that sky call SSTrig made to his dad!  :-* :-*

Howdy Beakers!   :) All good near my abode - smoky air and smell at times, depending on wind direction, natch. As of this morning, no structures burned, and no one injuried, from the forest fire near Myrtle Beach. The fires closer to me were controlled (not clear) as of yesterday. I haven't seen today's update. There's a burn ban, but tell that to the weather, and the idiots, and the accidentals. Still have some evacuations in places in SC and NC. Fingers crossed the firefighters can get and keep the fires contained. Many smaller new ones keep popping up - it depends on the winds and speed of reporting/response on how large they get how fast. My area includes both moderate and severe drought designations. The winds and lack of humidity are not helpful. Just a few embers blown and landing in the wrong spot can turn everything on its head. Prayers for all in the path of the fires.

P.S. You know I'm a sucker for silly, punny jokes, so, there's one attached below.
  ;D ;D

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

I'm heading out for a walk, before I talk myself out of it.  ;) :D

Take care, All!

Oh, I meant to post earlier... my Lil Sis was visiting last week with her daughter and grandchildren in VA, so I have a few recent pics of my Littlest Greatniece and her Baby Bro, attached. The stuffed kitty my Lil Sis is holding in the 1st picture is my LGN's "Ginger Kitty," who has traveled far and wide, many times across the continent, with my LGN, and lives on.

Lisa
Agree with BL on not starting before Thursday - it may be a little damp yet in the morning, but the severe weather will be out to sea.  But you may want to keep route options fluid for the trip because of wildfires.  On goggle maps, touch the icon that is a diamond with a v under it - that will open a screen of map types and details and select wildfires.  Now it will show major fires on the map with details.  Scroll the map along the intended route for the day to see if any surprises developed overnight.
On the way back, keep up to date on the weather, as another storm system will be coming thru Mobile on Sat.

Have a safe and fun trip to the Gulf... ;D

tsk  Ah Ha  Funny you should mention it, Truth be told - Good Sam ER visit sent me to IBJI for ortho surgeon, who then referred me to PT here by Downers Grove.  They took over our Hinsdale Orthopedics  (Ton and me) who we were with quite a while.  Ton had several of the usual replacements and then also other surgeries.   HO did my replacements, then my guy went into his own practice; he has now gone home to practice.  He is/was from France.  He did a lot for the two of us; good find, sad loss.  I was referred to a new Good Sam practice who started working with my hip/spinal work.  Because of meds effects only had one start.  That IBJI group has a few locations.  Hope I'm OK'd and released Friday  NOT  :'(
