tsk - Oh no, not another alarm.  Ooo, I love that red bag popcorn!  Today was my yearly appt. and ultrasound since my kidney stone surgery.  Last year, the ultrasound did not see any stone in right kidney, today she saw one there. Follow-up in one year.  Good luck to Tim at docs.  I had my bloodwork done last week for A1C...still 7.3!  I was shocked!

((Phyl)) - Feel better soon, and hope you have a speedy recovery!

Lori - Waving at you!  Hope all is good.   :)

kb - Glad you got your walk in.

karen - Here is the pic of your snow you asked me to post.

((tig)) - Hope you are feeling better today.

Lani - Thank you, and thanks for the NEFL pic, so sweet of Beau and baby!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, oldguy!!!

PHYL   cozy corners ;D   Sounds like the worst didn't happen which is good.  You are doing well in treating the residuals from the fall.

CLYNN   Yes the one two nights before at midnight woke me and I tended to its removal from the ceiling on the ladder we keep upstairs and then reviewing on google how to remove the locked battery. ::) ::)  So this one at 9:45 was a blessing and the unlocking I showed Tim how to do.   At first it looked like the sheep were on their own and knew the way.  LOL   Gosh, I can't remember the last time we had 10" of snow.  Pensacola  :o :o

LORI   Great greeting for OLDGUY.  ;D

KAREN   Cute reaction Piper had to the snow .  I can just picture it.   ;D ;D

TIG   Are new windows on your list of home improvements - which never stop, I know!  What causes your low BP?  Dehydration?

LANI   Awwww   Sweet little NE31 gazing at Dad.  I looked back in my notes on Beakers  LOL  Didn't have that info on Aly.  Wow  she's a woman of many talents.  Thanks for that overview and the connection to Norway

CLYNN   A bacon cake!  LOLOL  AND a card cake  ;D

LISA   Good for you on your A1C.   When Tim last tested in Sept he was 10.5 - disastrous.   So we will see how it turns out today.  My guess is 8.0  Doc is 8.2 and Tim is hopeful  it is 7.8 - LOL  No money involved

No... windows are original. We had them revamped a few years ago, from sash to tilt in type (using original glass, wood) and refinished. Much cheaper than replacements. We also have the exterior combination windows with screens that my parents replaced the old storm windows with in the 1970s (or 80s?).

I have always had a problem with standing still. I used to (try to) faint when we had to stand around a science table in high school. I had finished a 24 oz. water yesterday just an hour before. I'll ask the doctor next week. I've watching my diet this week. Maybe I need a little salt? IDK.

Thanks Lani....Aly's artistic talent reminds me: I was a few credits short of a liberal arts need when entering Chiropractic School. So, I took a pen and ink class in LA....I loved it and my art teacher wanted me to continue. I had other things in mind. I have many of those pieces framed in my house of roses and vegetation unique to California. I need her to inspire me to take it back up!

Got that walk in with Ollie man today.....he was so excited as it has been a long time he got the zoomies while I tried to put his coat on. Exasperated I did my okay we'll stay home until he settled down and let me put it on...we walked with light flurries the whole time but the roads were safe.

It reminded me how I used to love to hike until I reached that "in the zone" phase meaning I no longer had any thoughts and was more completely experiencing my surroundings of nature.
I don't get to that point at all walking Ollie.....remorseful about that.

Take care all esp. Phyl..

tsk - What does the doc want Tim's to be?  My mama once told me that her endo told her at her age, they didn't mind if her A1C was a lil higher, cause in older people they didn't want them to get too low of a blood sugar and pass out.

Hummmm Earlier today DNF brought in fresh supply of soft stuff.  Right then I thought to myself - Self, she's getting egg padding materials ready.  Sure enough - he showed up - a bit later they mated.

Now, still in their constructed tree, they mated again.  Just saying. . . . .

Thanks Lisa for posting my snow picture we had a pretty decent melt today with the sun and a little higher temperatures. It is however going to be quite cold tonight , for Valdosta. It is  Going to be in the low 20s so what melted today will freeze and cause problems. Tomorrow schools are closed again, and the help  is not coming as she does not have a babysitter. truth be told I think she’s afraid to drive and what might be left on the road.  😮‍💨🥹
Where is Baz?  Hope all is well!
Puff, just keep in us advised!
Phyl, are you better, tonight?
Praying  alll can keep their a1c. Levels low and Lisa,, sorry abiut the stone.  Di they still do lipotripsy to crush these and make passive age easier?

TIG   Life long problem you've had to deal with.  Scary.  Hope doc has some suggestions. :-*

KB  Glad you both could get out today.  Think Ollie is too much of a distraction to allow that meditative feeling.

LISA   Tim will never get too low  LOLOL   Doc would like to see his daily blood sugars 140 or below.  He averaged 160  in the 7 checks he did this week.  Certainly not as good as when he was on insulin.  So I suspect he will advance to 1 unit of Ozempic in a few weeks.  He's cheating esp at night after dinner.  Can't win with that. >:(

KAREN   If everything ices up everyone needs to stay home.  Here our salt trucks are out at the very hint of possible icy streets

his help. Couldn't find my mom's cane . So Jim bought me one--needs adjusting before I can use.
Sitting here all twisted in my chair w/ right leg painfully hoisted up in Maggies chair to keep elevated. :(
Nothing I have fits underneath this desk.
Earlier, I turned my r leg wrong and knee popped now hurting.  ::) :(

Phyl - Hoping you can get some rest tonight.

Tsk - I can’t remember if you told me, but does Tim take an oral med too for the diabetes in addition to the Ozempic?

Karen - You’re welcome.

Puff - Did you catch the copulation attempt from the Hatchery’s earlier this evening above N1?  I posted a pic in the Decorah eagles thread.

Good night, everyone 😊

Thanks to all for the Birthday wishes
I will have to go with Lori's gooey brownies as the favorite today... ;)

It has been a busy week here.
On Sunday evening Jan 12, MIL was taken to the hospital for breathing problems - after 3 days they released her to a rehap. - she was non cooperative with the rehab schedule, so they required her to transfer to a care center - that happened on Tue. this week.  She is at 25% hearing in 1 ear only and very poor vision.

Then Sunday afternoon we lost water here.  Bad communications from the office, as none for 24 hours and then only a short text, to say that repairs would not happen until Tues morning.  Water did not start flowing until after midnight last night.  Since the outage was over 24 hours, the Health Dept. has mandated a water boil until samples come back as safe.  All of this with temps below 0.

The temps have started to get back into the 20s today with a on/off light snow all day - about 1 inch total for the day.  Temps going back down for 2 nights before getting highs above freezing for a week.

Elsewhere...
A new fire north of LA today... BL may be busy out there for a while.... :(
