Howdy Beakers!  :)

I was last here last Thursday, I think... and I have just finished reading all the posts since then till now. But I still haven't had a chance to read the 3 weeks of posts I missed!

Zippo is doing much better!!  :) :-*  I noticed she seemed to take a big turn for the better late Saturday afternoon! Then yesterday (Sunday), she still seemed greatly improved, and both of those nights, she ate much more before going to bed for the night than she had been eating while she was sicker. She had a huge crop the last 2 nights when I covered her! LOL. I loved seeing that!! And yesterday I noticed her wheezing was greatly improved - and sometimes not audible at all when I listened with my ear next to her beak and breast. That was great!! I have been cautiously optimistic since then. Her great improvement and heartier eating has continued into today - YAY! - and I could barely hear any unusual breathing sounds this morning after giving her her morning medicine. So it seems she is on her way to being well... toenails crossed!!  ;) :D :-*

Thanks to All the Beakers who have asked about her and sent wishes and prayers for her recovery!!  :-* :-*

I think things around here should get back closer to my normal pretty soon, and then I can get back to reading and posting here more regularly again.

Take care, All!!
  :)

Congrats! To NEFL Hamlet - Gabrielle and Beau. Welcome NE 30!!

LOL Clynn cute greeting this AM;  spectacular IThe Grant Wood Window , tks  And, another great American Gothic painting by Mr.  Wood.
Boy Oh boy! That leopard blends perfectly with that tree trunl. "Nature" thinks of everything.

Tsk pretty Christmas wreath this  AM;  LOL thats' about the way it is here but regarding the household 'trash/garbage' ...Oh I'll bag it from the waste baskets then carry it to the back door to garage and drop it by the kitchen receptacle. That's it ...he takes it to the "dumpster" & empties the kitchen ties it all up and come Tuesday he wheels it out to the curb and brings it into garage.
And 'the girls party' bet that was fun.

Lisa how'd it all go this AM?   Nice greeting today.

Lani tks for the  Royals update and photos. Wow! their cams are up, already. Cool. Too little time...hard to resist.

Karen - Awww the Snoopy Snowman, cute. So glad Mickey and Kathryn will be  w/you over Christmas

Baz Hurrah! Zippo is  feeling better.  Talons crossed !  ;)

Bounce
Yay Zippo, NEFL and hugz all.
I saw 2 bald eagles today!

We took a road trip to Lake City to pick up a few more Christmas gifts with some coupons we had and then to Edina, MN to the Cheesecake factory with some gift cards we had. It was our first visit to C F. Good news... the food is yummy. Bad news... the restroom was terrible IMHO. The women's handicap stall was out of order, the rest of the stalls had no assist bars and the toilets were practically on the floor. I felt I was in an elementary school! The top of the bowl came to my mid calf! I survived that but then the automatic faucet flowed with cold water. Grr.

Anyway... I look forward to trying the slices I brought home. Camper is not a fan... He thinks " cake " ought to look like cake.  ::)

Congrats to the Chiefs. I watched some of the game... until the fans started that "Indian" chant.  :(

Anyway... Enough opinionating...

PHYL   Very cute Lori Mitchell pieces.  Love that style.   Great to hear Dan is OK!!!  Saw that piece on the Grosbeak yesterday on FB.
So much to know in the avian world.

CLYNN   Stunning leopard camouflage.

LANI   Thanks for info on our new nest Trig pair.  :)    YAY for Gabby and Beau.  Let's pray NE 30 makes it.  Party was fun as always.  Everyone brought a really good appetizer and of course enough left for Tim to enjoy for his dinner.   The Berry Chantilly cake from Whole Foods was a hit.  I served French vanilla ice cream with it.  They came at 11:30 and left at 2:45.  One gal headed to another party  LOL  Barb took a group pic of us with all the food and sent it to Maureen in the hospital....  She misses us...

KB   You may have to have that door custom made?  $$

KAREN   You will have your company when CLYNN is gone.  ;D

BAZI   The extra antibiotics are doing the trick.  Happy to hear the good news.     " do be do be do"   ;D ;D

TIG    We want to hear what flavor(s) slices did you bring home???  ;D ;D

Good Morning Beakers!

tsk, a bite of cheesecake sounds so good...  ;D ;D

Lani, thanks for the good news on NEFL, we will soon have the Florida nests to watch! Speaking of carrot cake, Becky's partner Jennifer is a baker deluxe. She makes a totally from scratch carrot cake, (including grating the carrots) and it is wonderful! She made the wedding cake for her niece last year, Becky said she tried at least 15 different recipes before she found the one she wanted. I love to be at Mom's when Becky and Jennifer are there... Sweet dog and parrot!

karen, those hounds sure had a good time! I am so happy that Micky and Kathryn will be your guests at Christmas!

baz, relieved to hear Zippo continues to improve! She's a tough gal! She always makes me think of Eagleduck's Max, I wonder how she is doing... hopefully living a good life with a person like you...

tsk, your Girl's Gathering was a hit, how sweet of you to send a picture of all of you to the friend in the hospital! Hooray for the Berry Chantilly cake, I may have to go find one! We have a Whole Foods close by, always busy!

Dem's some big Christmas Trees clynn.  No need for ornaments either.

That's the first posted snuggle ever posted here between puppy and parrot?  So cute.

Mornin' all - back to winter for us.  Hope you all have a good day.
BTW - I can just imagine and enjoy the overwhelming scents while standing in the middle of those trees.  Would be indescribable.
