Good morning! Will be 79 or 80 today!  Whew!  Bermuda shorts and a short sleeved tee!    Probably the last warm day until the Spring warm up!
Happy Zippo  continues to improve.   I too
wonder  about Maxi   .terrible fires in Southern California!  Hope the condors and other wildlife cane find safe havens.

Lani, the video I asked Lisa to post was taken at Dr. Hs business.,she operates
 a boarding and training facility.
Day care and long term boarding!   The hounds and tge small dogs get separate out door play time.    She subs at various vet clinics  but now specializes in behavior issues.

🦥Sloth Preschool Update:

NEW ARRIVAL
Lula:
Lula arrived at TRR after being found next to her mother, who unfortunately passed away. She was fed cow's milk by her well intentioned rescuers and has been having some digestive issues as a result, which is a perfect reminder of why sloths and cow's milk do not get along! Has a reserved prognosis.

Beshayer 2F Sloth: Beshayer appetite has been improving and she’s been growing steadily, finding comfort and fun with her besties Zayed and Denahi. Has a reserved prognosis.

Zayed, 2F Sloth: Zayed is progressing really well. He’s growing steadily and maintaining a healthy appetite. He has devoloped a taste for adventure and can frequently be found climbing to the top of his climbing structure. He has a reserved prognosis at this time.

Denahi, 2F Sloth: Denahi has completed his treatment for anemia and, although he might seem a bit pale, his blood work shows great progress! His consumption patterns have also improved along with his curiousity for the world around him! Has a reserved prognosis.

Klara, 2F Sloth: Klara has been gaining weight quickly and remains very active during the night. She has earned herself quite the reputation as a fluffy piranha (we still love her though) and we are happy to share that she soon will graduate to Sloth Elementary!

Heidi, 2F Sloth: Heidi is currently undergoing treatment for anemia and a respiratory condition, so we are closely monitoring her progress. This little sloth-shaped cloud remains very active and maintains a good appetite. She has a reserved prognosis at this time.

Cello, 2F Sloth: Cello is showing steady growth and remains very active and feisty. However, he has encountered new obstacles in his recovery journey, including a fight with an abscess in his eye. If you would like to give this tiny one a hand, be sure to check out his campaign on Cuddly! Every dollar is one step closer to getting him back in the trees! https://cuddly.com/donate/4942441/cello

Pablo, 2F Sloth: Pablo continues to make great progress and his giant belly bald spot is all that is left after his full recovery from umbilical dermatitis. He maintains a healthy appetite and consistent weight gain!

Opal, 2F Sloth: Opal is growing stronger every day. She is steadily improving her agility and movement and she’s getting ready to graduate to Sloth Elementary!

Bonnie, 2F Sloth: Despite her ligament injury, Bonnie has begun using her hand more and more each day showing an impressive strength! She’s been eating well and remaining active, showing great determination in her recovery.

Clyde, 2F Sloth: Clyde has shown consistent growth, excellent appetite, and an adventurous personality. If you see a sloth moving around the structure, moving from top to bottom and all over the place, look closely as it's most likely Clyde!

TayTay, 2F Sloth: Tay Tay has been gaining weight consistently and maintains a healthy appetite. She has begun spending more time outside in the trees as she is now getting ready to graduate to Sloth Elementary!

Waylon, 3F Sloth: Waylon keeps eating on his own and gaining weight! He has a tremendous appetite and he demolishes every leaf presented to him!

Pixie, 2F Sloth: Pixie has been eating well and steadily gaining weight, showing remarkable growth despite being the smallest sloth we've ever received! We have been encouraging her to climb more as she’s getting ready to graduate to Sloth Elementary!

🌳Sloth Elementary / High School Update:

GRADUATE Preztel, 2F Sloth: Pretzel has officially graduated to Sloth Elementary! He has been passing all his sloth courses with flying colors! He has been adapting well to this transition improving a lot, and continuing to eat and grow really well!

GRADUATE Beanie, 2F Sloth: Beanie has also graduated! She has greatly improved her mobility and is now eating all her vegetables without a fight (or tricks!). She is growing well and we are actively working on encouraging her independence.

Blake, 2F Sloth: Blake is being weaned off of smoothie! She has been adapting well and is becoming more independent each day!

Nevada, 2F Sloth: Nevada is currently in the process of being weaned off of smoothies, and she’s making excellent progress so far! She is gaining weight consistently and growing a lot!

Bruno, 2F Sloth: Bruno has also been growing very well and he’s being weaned off of smoothie. He is making his caretaker proud, as he is making remarkable progress in becoming more independent.

Fiesta, 2F Sloth: Fiesta is eating (and enjoying) more vegetables. She is adapting well and steadily becoming more independent.

Wyatt, 2F Sloth: Wyatt has been making remarkable progress. We are closely monitoring his consumption at the moment, but he remains healthy and active!

Tulip, 2F Sloth: Tulip continues to grow steadily and is being weaned off of smoothie. She recently recovered from some digestive issues and is now back to full health with even more strength and determination!

Rose, 2F Sloth: Rose is becoming more independent each day and is in the process of being weaned off of smoothie. She adjusting well to spending time in the trees!

Moose, 2F Sloth: Moose is also being weaned off of smoothie. We are monitoring his weight as it has been fluctuating a bit, but he is healthy and progressing well!

Grover, 2F Sloth: Grover has been spending more time outside! We are carefully monitoring his food intake as it has been fluctuating, but he remains healthy and we are very proud of his progress.

Binx, 2F Sloth: Binx remains active and is gradually becoming more independent as she spends more time in the trees and in an outdoor enclosure!

🎓Sloth University Update:
JJ, 2F Sloth: JJ keeps gaining weight and is adjusting well to this new stage so far! We have been working on developing his independence!

Mimi, 2F Sloth: Mimi is currently adapting well to her transition to our Release Site and continues to gain weight steadily. She has been developing more of her natural behaviors and is becoming more cautious towards humans.

Phoenix, 2F Sloth: Phoenix is making incredible progress so far. He keeps steadily gaining weight and independence!

Roo, 2F Sloth: Roo keeps growing steadily, and is getting closer to being back in the trees! We are really happy and proud of his progress!

🕊️In Memory Of:  😢
Miztli, 2F Sloth, and Buki, 3F Sloth: These two remarkable orphans arrived at TRR after surviving tragic circumstances, but unfortunately passed away from their injuries a few weeks after arriving at our clinic. Although you might not have met them officially (but you may have seen them on the porch), we decided to include them in the update as a testimony to their resilience and as a reminder that wildlife rehabilitation can have its ups and downs.

Ken, 2F Sloth: We are absolutely heartbroken to announce that Ken has unfortunately passed away. He encountered several health issues on his path to recovery but ultimately passed away due to a parasite. We will miss him greatly but we are sure that he is cheering on his fellow sloths on their path to being released.

A friendly reminder: We are a critical care facility - Even though you do not see this on camera, the animals are under 24/7 vet care.

CLYNN  The Chantilly cakes are in the bakery case - Don't have to pre order.  Awesome Sequoia photo.   Like PUFF said - the smell must be beyond description.

PHYL   Didn't seem like too hard of a job for that falcon to grab lunch  LOL 365   In the mosque photo - notice all the "towers" in the backround - communication or power?  Old and new.

LISA  Cute AM greeting

KAREN   Thanks for clarifying the hound park.  What a great space for the dogs.  Bet she is a much sought after vet!!!

LANI   Thanks for that extensive Sloth update.  The medical issues are so varied, umbilical dermatitis parasites, eye abscess...

Lani tks for the Sloth Report, lots going on with those  pre-school critters.

Karen luv those 'Peanuts' kids---always! Tks  ; Also appreciate the backstory on the 'boarding and training facility'; Wow! 80F for you  today.  :)

Lisa luv that cuppa Christmas Cheer---you use Bailey's Irish Creme? Right?  ;D ;).  Good news from the ENT; good luck w/the  insulated (?)metal doors.

TSk towers attached or adjacent to a mosque   are called  minarets  . And are  designed to  call tthe faithful to prayer, issued from mosques five times a day, can be heard loud and clear throughout a town or city.

Tig glad the tootsies are happy. What color did you have then painted or are they naked? LOL
Sorry about the eyeball pain---were the tags frozen with liq O2?

Dinner: traditional meatloaf (ground beef and pork) in a beef gravy , baby red mashed potaotes. Meatloaf slices each topped with Fr. fried onions and real blu cheese melted 'just so'  . Mixed veggies in butter sauce & garden salad. No dessert. But lots of vino. ;)

Good , warm pictures, Phyl
Found a slice of chantilly cake with fruit, at Publix.  Going to order it in  the am!   Have to have a taste.

Tsk,  meant to answer  your  question  re when I sold my house in Fairhope.  It was after Hurricane Ivan which hit in 2004, September.   Sold with in 6 months.   Market dried up as the storm hit Pensacola.  Folksfrom there poured into Baldwin County.   Commuting  distance!   I was not aware of that and the hime I wanted sold that day along with many others.   My buyer was nit a Fl.storm victim!
Picture below from Wiskernwings.  M and .f in flight as tgey change incubating duties.

Thanksfir the sloth report Lani.  Seds all.

Historic Places of the World

Hagia Sophia, officially the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, is a mosque and former church serving as a major cultural and historical site in Istanbul, Turkey. The last of three church buildings to be successively erected on the site by the Eastern Roman Empire, it was completed in AD 537. Wikipedia

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I'm with you on the Chantilly cake, maybe for after Christmas tea with Nancy (nr). She invited me for tea on Saturday, sounds like she has some good treats planned!  We had a dusting of snow along with wind yesterday, TWC was calling for snow Thursday night and some on Friday. Now it's freezing rain Friay night turning to rain, 39 and rain on Saturday. 20-30 mph winds today. Iowa. What a sloth report, they must be very busy there!  Makes me sad that something happened to so many sloth moms.

karen, thanks for the updates on SWFL, it won't be long now!

BL, sounds like you are in heaven, with all of the things you love!

Phyl, your dinner sounds good (except for the bleu cheese...)!  Love the kitty in the tree, I am expecting to see that any time! Of course, I would go find my phone and take a picture before I got the kitty down!  Thanks for Amy's Blog, always interesting!

Puff, I agree, the smell of the Sequoia National Park would be heavenly....  I even love walking under my two pine trees, just for the smell!

Lisa, you are finding such cute Christmasy morning greetings!

The original McDonald's menu ..only had nine items on it

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown
