some bounce
Phyl... No,  it was slice and cautery,  a couple of stitches. Pain went away after a couple of hours. It really wasn't that bad in the first place. I'm a whiner...

BL... Sounds wonderful!

Phyl, good 365, and just like our pets he had to stop and scratch and later hike his leg! Wonder where the rest of his pack is... Sweet picture of Jak and Audacity! I pray for a good season for them this year... Love the old Christmas pictures!

KB    Heading this way with wind chills tomorrow in single digits.  High of 17

BL  Sounds like a wonderful time.  Love a popping fireplace.

KAREN   Thanks for the backround on the sale of your Fairhope home.  Nice screen clip of SWFL beauties in flight.

LANI   We had one piece left of the Chantilly cake after the party.  I've been giving Tim about two big spoonful's worth and mine more than double that but he doesn't know that.  LOL  We finished last night  LOL

CLYNN   The original McDonalds is in the suburb just west of me - about 5 minutes  LOL  I wasn't living in Illinois at the time but remember I was in college when the revolutionary 15 cent burgers came to be.   Love your blast from the past 1961 photo  ;D

PHYL   Love those Saturday Evening Post covers  ;D

KB  Sweet memories for you today on your anniversary.  :-* :-*

tsk, you can see, baby dolls and slippers were Christmas presents that year!  You are so funny, finding clever ways for Tim not to be tempted with too many sweets!

National Geographic  · LANDING - No, this is not Photoshop or a disoriented photo. Photographer Vincent TC captured a goose trying to land with lots of headwinds in the Netherlands. The bird is trying to brake, briefly turning upside down except for the head. This method is called wiffling, a maneuver birds use to rapidly lose altitude by twisting their bodies mid-air. Good Morning Beakers

It is a rainy day for us.  They are saying 2 to 3" of rain.  :o

karen - You had some warm temps yesterday.  Love the pic of M & F in flight.  Hope for a PIP soon at SWFL!

Lani - Thank you for the TRR update on all the sloths.

tsk - Thanks  :)  Love your pretty greeting this morning.

tig - Beauty is pain  ;D

Phyl - Thanks for the RRP post, and of course some Bailey's Irish Creme in that!  Dinner sounded good.

kb - Glad you did too with those cold temps!  Thinking of you on your Anniversary!

BrokenLug - That sounds very nice.

clynn - Love that pic of you and your sisters at Christmas!  Thank you...Pinterest!  ;D  Wow, look at that McDonald's menu, can you imagine if they dropped prices like that for a day?  The lines would be around the building 10 times! Oh, and if the ice cream machine worked to make the milk shakes!  It seems the one by us is always out of order.

Thanks tsk and Lisa!..for remembering.

It would be 23 years today....and a little more than 24 since we met...
I think of our restaurants we enjoyed throughout the years...was a ritual for us every anniversary to try a new one. All were great btw and hold special memories.

Just came inside from shoveling/sweeping the snow off the driveway. Not a lot but the sun is out and will dry it if swept/shoveled. Before the temps continue to drop and the wind gets even stronger.

Have an upstairs toilet decision to make. Previously had the toilet itself snaked and with continuing issues expert recommended snaking further down the line. With our toilet and a camera needed would require removing the toilet. At the time we decided to wait and see.
It's back. We also decided then if the toilet needed to come off to clear we might as well get a new one to replace it with that's higher etc.
Seems daunting to do/decide today as it's brutally cold and they need a separate plumber to do the toilet swap.

Off to plunge....lovely, LOL Our pipes tend to collect rust on the inside and needs removall

Not how I wanted to spend the day!

CLYNN   Agree about Big Bear - a great view!   What a great link to unusual birds and their names.  WOW

LISA   A very welcoming AM pic  ;D

LANI   And your AM pup is thinking - " They made me do it"  ;) ;)

KB   Not a fun project to think about.   In our first home we always had tree roots ( big locust in front of the house) in the line to the street. - We had to pay for the replacement from house to street - not cheap.!

Ugh

Sorry KB

I thought something (what?) was amiss in the room earlier. An intermittent electronic buzz. My new Chromebook? The cable box? The surge protector? My hubby's old tablet? I finally narrowed it down to hubby's cell phone that had been left in the room last night and had been turned to buzz the night before while at a movie and was buzzing a lot because his work buddies were trying to reach him concerning their retiree/work luncheon today. Sheesh.

Plan in place:

It's the main drain inside the house from the toilet to the exterior drain...need to remove the toilet in order to put a camera down it to find it..speculation where it is at this point. From previous experts, draining just the toilet before but had them back out in November. This old toilet you can't put a camera down from the toilet, hence removing it. and then putting it back on.
The clog is NOT outside to the street. It's inside.

Luckily I've had multiple camera inspections of my outside drain and never found any tree roots.

Ordering a new toto drake toilet to replace. Unfortunately, can't have it delivered by tomorrow when the clearing of the drain will happen.

I found a different plumber who will put the new one on cheaper than the drain company who also has a plumbing division. He will put it on as soon as delivered

Whew.
We knew this was a possibility in November. But, we took a wait and see approach. That's over today! after 10 plunging attempts.
