Thanks for the performance at the newly renovated Notre Dame cathedral.  Stunning performance and cathedral.

Lani,Like your morning picture.
Thanks to All for  the Pearl  harbor posts,
I had all of my Carpets cleaned today.  They look very nice, but are still wet morning will give a better feel for life.
Lori, good post today and I hope all is well with you. Thanks for remembering CR Jane.
Going to get ready to turn in early will be back in the morning. Oh puff all is well at Southwest Florida as of early this evening.  The owls are a real hazard, however as I live in a tree on the pasture and desperately want finessed, the Eagles occupy and build and built.   The big problem there also is that F 23 flew into cam two and moved it and it is no longer possible to reposition it. We’ll have to wait till next year for views from that vantage point.

Happy caturday  day and sEDS

Beautifully sung "Amazing Grace" by this lady today at the Notre Dame Cathedral!

Kb, she was excellent. I listened to it twice.

Oldguy, great videos, thanks.

Clynn, very interesting about the crow "anting." .. I have the Litter Robot, I use Fresh step clumping litter from Costco. It works great.

Tsk, glad to hear Tim is doing well, one day at a time.... I hope you had a good time at the church fair. I bet it was fantastic.... I've had litter robot for a year, took awhile, Milo uses it and I keep a litter box for Norman. He hasn't taken to it.... It was a slow process for the cats to get use to it being in the bathroom near their old litter box. Then getting use to the noises it makes when moving the litter. As I said, Milo uses it, Norman doesn't... I love the cat in the window bucket too! I'd love to get one for the cats.

Karen, thanks for explaining the situation with SWFL cam... I need to get my carpets cleaned too... The carpets should be dry by morning. Piper will enjoy the feel of clean carpets.  ;D

Phyl, thank you for the Pearl Harbor history... love the 12 days of Catmas! ... great Caturday pics.

Kb, fun snowy owl pic

Lisa, shower/tub combo sounds like a good idea... good luck deciding on the floor  ;D

{{{Tig}}} good one

{{{Puff}}} Thank you for sharing your memories ..... RE: SWFL: this was posted 5 hours ago on SWFL  F and M exchanged incubation duties during the early morning hours. F bumped cam2 with a wing and moved it. Both kept the eggs toasty warm. M delivered a partial fish to F. Each ate at the office oak today. M flew NE at 5:52p. Sleep well M and F. 5 hours ago

Lori, Love your Caturday posts  ;D

Thanks Lani for the update and activities at SWFL.  It has been an iffy situation, but our pair seems to be handling it on their end.  Next week should be something eventful to watch.

Although it wasn't a common descriptive "back in the day"   ;D   I probably could have been dubbed the village nerd.  Always has my nose in some type of reading material.  Did the usual little girl/teenie bopper/rock and roll "stuff" - But started in the 60's really getting into newspaper, books, TV specials, sports action, history, cereal boxes.  Whatever!  Naturally, being a Certified Island Specialist with Hawaii I've got a bit (a large bit) of knowledge, training, and background on Hawaii.  (I will always defer to you, Lani, however.)  Hence, my strong suggestion of seeing Pearl Harbor.

Pearl Harbor is just so moving an experience.  But, another not much mentioned visit to suggest, right around the bend in the road is the battleship USS Missouri.  Used in many regions over its years, its final use was in the 1990's during the Kuwait, Saudi, Iraq war in the middle east.  Had to make several big changes for the ammunitions used and energy upgrades available in the 1990's.  Alterations to handle new tech and developements, for energy, weapons, etc.  After upgrades and use in that scene and its last battle in late 90's it was permanently retired.  One of the most awesome effects is to stand under the "cannons" on the main deck.  Humungous!!!!!  Can't even imagine the power felt and heard when they were in action.  A nice touch is - while there were still survivors - was the use of retired personnel from all branches of the US military to act as docent/tour leaders of the ship.  (personal remembrances were moving)  They still use all branches for tour leaders on board.

Because of stairs (aka ladders) and tight quarters it has ADA warnings today.  But - since you're in the neighborhood - try to do both Pearl Harbor and the Missouri if you can.  Their new reservation systems are limiting and tricky, but I can help.

Forgot to mention - memorial setup throughout is stressed; and on deck there is a marking of the exact spot (with artifacts) of the signing of the decree ending WWII by Japan.

Sat and munched by banana - and now (old person) I remember. . .

One of the sister ships of the USS Missouri is the USS New Jersey!   Lisa has to know all about it because she's on display on the east coast.  In New York I believe?

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I am wondering how the cats will take to the new litter box, I think Sam and Sophie will be fine but ol' man Harley probably wont! We are going to wait until we are back home from Mom's before we set it up. I've wondered about those window buckets too!  I have seen pictures of those being used in the car too, for traveling. Jane was a beautiful little girl...  Great cat videos from X, love the cats in the Christmas trees, all so true. I have had to pile presents under ours so S&S won't get under it! And they still try to get in there! Naughty kitties!  Love the way the cat is sitting in the window bucket! The intense massage and those tails! The chase around the big spool, so cute!

Phyl, it is amazing to see what a wonderful job was done on Notre Dame, it looks as beautiful as ever! What an honor for those who worked on the restoration and the skills they used from long ago. Amazing Grace, a perfect song for the day, and beautifully performed!!

Puff, today holds a lot of memories of your Dad...remember all the good times, that is what they leave us... Thanks for the SWFL update.

tig, the same for you today...

Lori, love your post, so good to see you popping in, I hope one day you will be back with us and let us know how you are doing...

karen, clean carpets!  You have a head start on spring cleaning!

tsk, I will definitely let you know the outcome of the new litter box! My niece in Dallas has had the Litter Robot for a couple of years now, she loves it! She loves that the app on her phone tells her when the container needs to be emptied, she has called Cathy more than once, asking her if she would run over and empty it. That is when she and Joe are out of town and one of the boys is in charge of it. And forgets!

Amana Woolen Mill in Amana, Iowa
It's the last remaining textile mill operating in Iowa. During operating hours, there is a entrance that is open to the public where they can observe the textile work.  You can also walk next door to Warped & Woven to shop for products that were made at the woolen mill.

Massive cargo ship Felicity Ace, laden with as many as 4000 luxury cars bound from Germany to the US, sank in the mid-Atlantic, in March 2022.

I don't know if this is an actual picture of the cars, but the story is true:  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-03-02/felicity-ace-ship-with-luxury-cars-sinks-mid-atlantic/100876322

KAREN    Thanks for last night's update on SWFL  Dang on the camera shift - Someone didn't tighten a screw  LOL

LANI  Thanks for SWFL update as well.  Thanks for mentioning the sound the Litter Robot makes.  Lulu is very sensitive to sound and wondered if that would be an issue.  Seems to me that if a kitten was raised on it, that would be all it knew,  Thanks for post JaneCR's pics.    :)

PUFF  Thanks so much for the history of the Missouri.  Did a 4 Island tour back in the late 70s as a graduation gift for my younger brother.   Of course the Missouri was still in action then.  Yes the Memorial is very impressive and isn't the cemetery right there as well?

CLYNN   Who will take care of the kitties when you are gone??  I don't remember that ship sinking story.  Then again I don't remember a lot  LOLOL    Cha ching-cha ching

tsk, I didn't remember that ship sinking either, that is why I wanted to verify it! You can't trust anything on FB these days! You would have thought that was big news when it happened!  Vicky and Joni across the street will take care of the cats while we are gone. They have cats and those rescued Chihuahuas, so they are pet people! Erin will also stop by. We are considering boarding Harley, he doesn't like Sam & Sophie that much yet, although it is getting better!  We shall see!

Good Morning Beakers...Happy Sunday!

tsk - This is the one that I picked out from Home Depot.  It is a lil darker than the one I have now. I did not want to buy a really expensive brand, if we plan on moving.  Someone else might not like my choice and decide to rip it up.

kb - LOL, the tuxedo cat....Misty is a tuxedo and she does that! Thanks for the video of Amazing Grace.

((Puff)) - Did you ever find out about SWFL?  Oops, reading on, I see your comment.  Thanks!

((tig)) - Love the video!

clynn - I would love to have someone come remodel my home. I might need to win to Lotto first, tho  ;D ;D  Wow, all those cars!

Lani - Thanks for the videos. Thanks  :)

Lori - Love your Caturday post.

karen - Hope your cleaned carpets are all dry now.

Phyl - Nice morning cuppa....and yummy looking too!  Thanks for 365.

It's game day in 15 minutes at home for us.
Atlanta (6-6) vs. Vikings (10-2)
Skol!

Lisa can't wait to see your finished products..other than the anxiety while work is being done, at least for me, it's also so rewarding and fun.

Luckily I got a few dog walks in the last few days as temps Finally warmed up...to cool down a few days next week, but the overall trend going forward is warmer...for the whole country I might add.

Good Afternoon!  Lol, Lani!
Clynn, I remember it well as the song goes!    Just two years ago and a massive insurance claim! What  a loss.
Carpet leaning has not been done for over 2 years and may have visitor for more Christmas.looks good!
Have to move plants back outside.   Doing some laundry and putting lights on a tree.
Except for the incident with cam 2, swfl is about the same as usual.  Eggs were laid a week or two early as there were  often a chance for .Christmas or New Years Babies.
Lisa, nice floor.    I built a  retirement home in Alabama and put a large walk in shower in the master bath.  Combo outfit in the second bedroom!  Sold it in. Few days , wird of mouth.    Guess it depends on the location,
