It’s +12C (54 F) here at the moment.  What a difference a couple of weeks make.  But I am not fooled.  We still have to get through February and March can be a brute at times too!

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!  :)


I walked 28 minutes yesterday, and 40 minutes today. Today I walked down Bluebird Lane, but it was the wrong time of day for a Bluebird Escort there.  ;) I went from there, across the way to the kayak launch in the woods. The water in that area was higher than usual. Most of the birds seem to have been on break - it was around noon. I have noticed they tend to be more active certain times of day, and that is not one of those times.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBORAHG!  :D

Lani, the dachshunds were a hoot!!  They looked so calm and serene, too. They must be in the habit.  ;)

Lisa, glad you're safely home, and good to hear your mother is doing well. Misty was in a snit, maybe? LOL, I bet she has come around by now.  ;) :D

BL, were you and Jackson and Daryl up there for environmental reasons? I remember a time when there were people staying in the Redwoods to save them from removal, and also to save them from being poached.

Clynn, LOL, what a hoot - Sam and Sophie helping you with the online puzzle.  :D :-*  My nephew's younger twins are about the same age as my Littlest Greatniece, and one of those twins lost a front tooth a few weeks back, but her twin hasn't lost her 1st tooth yet... and they are identical twins. That has surprised me. I bet Bella, and my nephew's other younger twin, lose a tooth soon... Get the Tooth Fairy buyout ready!  ;) :)

Karen, I saw that story about electric plane development, too. Seeing all the recent news about electric cars having trouble with the batteries losing their charge so much more quickly in the colder temps would give me pause, and I would need to know more, because it gets a lot colder the higher a plane goes, as we know. I would hate to be aboard when the "Battery is low!" warning sounded!!   ;D ;D

TSK, I used to enjoy sitting in a comfortable chair at the library to flip through and read some great magazines and newspapers I didn't subscribe too. That kind of went out the window during the pandemic, and I haven't gotten back in the habit. Hearing you mention doing that makes me want to go to a local branch to check out doing that again soon. My doctor and dentist offices stopped putting out reading material during the pandemic, also, for obvious reasons, and they haven't changed that since. I wonder what I will discover at my library these days in that regard.

Emy, we are having the same thing here, temps in the 50's for several days. Strange after the brutal cold temps and snow we had just a couple of weeks ago! I remember many March snow storms, April and even a couple in early May!  :o :o

Lisa, glad Mom is still doing well! Misty will come around! Harley may be mad at me because he has to stay downstairs with Ed during the day, but he pretty much did that before we got the kittens so I don't feel so bad. I want to keep them separated until the kittens are 'fixed' and recovered, just because he is so big and they are so little and he hisses loudly! They will be 3 months old on 2/3 so I think it's time to make the appointments.

kb, ahhh, the sounds I grew up with living on all the Air Force Bases! We were quite used to it but still loved to look up in the sky and watch them!

tsk, yes, some of those decorative bird houses don't look like they would be easy to clean out. I suppose you could just take it apart and put it back together every year...  Speaking of Daryll Hannah, I just read that she is pregnant! CLYNN  Sweet Harley  :)   Sophie is really much whiter than Sam.  :o   Still in the 40s.  Tomorrow maybe 53.  I was so grateful for the afternoon of sun two days ago.  Back to cloudy and dreary since then.

PUFF   I'll believe it when I see it...
