Howdy Beakers!  :)

TSK, you may have missed that info in my post before you asked - yes, the ortho put a splint on my middle finger yesterday morning. The hand specialist will see me Friday to review further after more swelling has gone down. I don't expect anything more than the splint that has been already applied, but will know more after that visit on Friday. All 3 middle fingers are sprained. ouch. The small break in the middle joint of the middle finger is a questionable Dx apparently - my primary MD said it's there, and then later, the ortho's PA said maybe it's a break, or maybe it's arthritis showing on that finger's xray. I do have arthritis in all fingers and toes. Whatever, the splint is on for now. What's the word on Lulu's ear? Hope it'll be a short treatment course and that Lulu's all good fast!  :-* :-*

Clynn, those are all great pics of your mother and aunt and cousin, and the whole famdamily!!  ;) ;D So great to get to have that many in the family together, and get good pics for family albums, too! Love the pics from Albion's eclispse festival!!

TSK, Clynn, Lisa, Karen, Lani, and others who asked about pain... thanks for asking, sending good wishes. Luckily little pain, but all 3 middle fingers are apparently sprained, so any movement with them, or pressure/weight on them, sends a shockwave through, but that's really the only pain. The middle finger is the most injured and painful, but not when at total rest. When I am able to keep that whole hand at complete rest, there's no pain. How often does that happen? LOL, you're right... basically never.  :D It's not bad though, and I'm only taking some regular strenth ibuprofen for swelling, and don't really need anything for pain, though that ibupofen is also a pain reliever. I'm not taking much of it, or often.

Tig, nice eclipse pics! Fun adventure - eclipse-chasing.  :D Love the PEFA mural, too!!  :)

Phyl, I hope you and Jim are on the mend and will feel lots better fast!

Lisa, I hope you saved me one of those chicken with pineapple kabob's you put together and that Jeff so expertly grilled. They looked majorly yum!!  :)

E4E, I hope you left one of Lisa's kabobs for me!  ;)

Lani, yay for Swoop arriving back in Dunrovin safely! Talons crossed Harriet shows up there soon, too!!  :-* :-*

Happy Birthday to Bradley!

The Tremplealeau  nest is a disaster!   The eaglets have been alone all afternoon!  Mrs. t left and Mr. t has no  interest in the eaglets! He shows up less than intermittently!   I wish someone would go up and get these babies and find a foster home for them!   They are too young!

tig - Wow, that is a very pretty mural, and thanks for the link to the article.  Great pics by Camper.  Sorry about the NO guard rails!

karen - Enjoy your trip to Home Goods!

Lani & tsk - Mt T did show up on cam one day a few days ago.  He brought a smaller fish to nest, Mrs T took it from him, he then grabs a bigger fish in nest and flies out.  The times I have peeked in, I have not seen him, only her on nest.  She was gone for a good hour today, but looks like she came back with a fish.  Fed the kids, warmed them up, and looks like she left again.  The nest view looks like it is closer, so you can't tell if she is just upon the side or what.

Lani - Great pics from Dunrovin.

baz - Of course, I saved you a kebab.  :)

karen, Phyl, E4E, Lani and baz - Thanks for the birthday wishes for Bradley  :-*

LULU report for those interested.   Tim not too happy with substitute vet - " She was young and had glitter on her face/eyes and tattoo on her knuckle"  sigh.  Gave rabies and distemper.  Rabies went well.. Had to do distemper over as not sure entire dose went in.( Tim saw it spray)  Then cleaning out her ears - left more infection than right - pushed swab in too far and Lulu yelped.  She apologized  Sigh... She put drops in and gave him bottle of drops for us to use at home 2x/day.  Lulu maintaining her beautiful physique by gaining only 1/2#  to 9.5#..Vet thought her coat was gorgeous  ;D ;D

TIG   Camper's photo had an ominous feel about it.  Right about the tree adding interest.  Right out of Halloween  ;) ;) 8)

BAZI   We shall see what the doc says Friday.

KAREN   If I were you,  I wouldn't watch....   :'( :'( :'(

(((LORI)))   So nice of you to do the scanning of pics - a big job.

OH!  OH!

Got somewhere new to spend my free (?) time. . .

My fav neighborhood bird supply x place to store my $$$$, just made news of something new they're doing.  My Store is called Wild Birds Unlimited.  They do sponsor and franchise in several places.  Well, the founder and CEO, Jim Carpenter, is now streaming a barred owl set-up in his back yard.  Cams are inside and outside the "big" box attached to a tree.  Got a lot of the necessaries - i.e. infrared.  Female's eggs have already hatched.

Can't watch basketball - may as well watch the owls.   :-*

Pip, Kopje and I observed the Total Eclipse very near Grand Isle, VT.
It's an island in Lake Champlain about 20 Mi south of the Canadian border.

Our most gracious host and guide for the event was non other than my truly beloved SIL Christine and her rottweiler Ursula.
Kopje & Ursala had never met before but they got along famously for the entire time.
Chris is as native a Vermonter as you would be hard pressed to find and really knows her way around these here parts.

We were going to watch the eclipse from Burlington, VT but it got a bit too crowded for our tastes.
A couple of hours before the eclipse began our wanting to here the wildlife go quiet midday ..
A last hour adjustment was made.

So glad we did as we had the place we were at all to ourselves.
Most Spectacular celestial event I've ever witnessed and I've seen 6 totals.

The weather was just unbelievably great for this time of year for this part of northern VT.
• The cloud cover was zero and the sky was a perfect bluebird blue.
• Temperature 62° F just before totality and dropped 10° F during .. than back up to 62.
• Winds calm.
• The bird silence during was profound.

This one we will take with us to the end.
We all just nodded as we cheered some mighty fine blueberry wine back at the back 40 in Berlin VT on top of the rock.

Very special event in a very special place with very special people !   8)

Puff, what a cool owl cam! Hats off to Wild Birds Unlimited! I love that store, I have a gift certificate I need to go spend!

tsk, oh, I bet Tim was not too happy about Lulu!  Glad she is okay though, no real harm done...  :o

Lani, oh, I do hope that second picture at Dunrovin is Harriet!  I love the busy bird sounds at that nest. I sent the link to my sister Becky so she could see how many birds she could identify with the Merlin AP.

Lori, oh my, you're scanning pictures of Russ. I hope the memories make you smile even though it is sad that he is gone...

Lisa, must be new parents at the T nest.  It may work out, we will just have to wait and see.

baz, well, now you can give the middle finger and it's not your fault!  :o :o

BL, it was a most memorable day, for sure!

Tsk- you're in 'the pink' today.  No chicken soup. But chicken broth.  Tks for the Bradley BD reminder.  Thanks for Miss Lulu's report---could have been a vet assistant, of a student vet.  Cats are persnickety.  :-* :-* :-* for Lulu

Lisa- pretty bouquet this AM. What are the  birthday plans ?

Tig-tks for Camper's snaps  ;)  I can relate to that drive of yours today.  In  Calif from Palm Spgs.  to Idyllwild is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains. There's a highway spiraling the largest  mountain where P.  Spgs. sits at the foothills. It's called  the "Palms to Pines' hwy. When I was a little girl- young adult, there were on 'guard rails' Nada! Not so sure nowadays.

Karen- the pills for my cough are  benzonatate capsules  . I'm not comfortable with the side effects or the swallowing. So sent Jim to bring home some Robintussin syrup. Just plan 'ol 'tussin' .  I regular use Flonase and Padaday sinsus and  eyes respectively that sure helps loads.
then there' the Mucinex for the sinuses. I'll have to read up on that one.
Jim is still working on his pulmonary and nephrology appts. Don't ask me which one he as appt with thus far.  ::)

Lani- tks for the updates on Dunrovin Ranch Osprey Nest cam. I sure can't tell  difference. Great snaps  ;)
Sure like that BD for Bradley.  Ziva and Blackie  (?)

Baz- I think,   I should send you a few Maggie 'purrs'. You need some  'megahrtz '. ;D  ;)

Lisa- many tks for the Trem nest. Hoping that Mrs. T instincts are good so it all works out in the end.

Lori- your kitten at the laptop would be me try to do all that photo work.  How kind of you to do all that for
everyone so they can have some memories or U. Russ;  Bradley's birthday goodie looks yummy.

BL--definitely a memorable day. There's nothing like a total eclipse and how it changes everything---even for a few moments.  Exactly how I felt about 2017 Total Eclipse here in Nashville. Just awesome...like you, one I'll carry with me forever!

CLynn- awesome Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.

Jim brought home a cough med I used to take ages ago...Delsym. It's specifically for 'allergy coughs' and is non-drowsy .
This one is one of the very best.
Gonna have rain--light rain-- for the next few days.

Puff--had a bit of extra time and peeked in on the owl cam just now 11:35pm   Saw mama snoozing on her hatchlings. Then she woke and shifted and
looked in the cams eye.

Good Night Everyone...SEDs.

Just a little PTSD here, as I broke my wrist during the eclipse in 2017. Memorable.
