Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, love the sounds of the cuckoo coming from the forest...I miss the osprey nests in Estonia. I check occasionally but no nesting there in the last few years. I wonder if the goshawk attacks are the reason they left the area.

E4E, gosh, you can have hummers almost year round! I need to figure out a different place for my feeder, my regular place is gone since we had the deck screened in.

tsk, glad Tim is taking Lulu to the vet, ear infection, easy fix. Ed is now in charge of taking Harley to the vet, I can barely lift the carrier with him in it and I don't want to agitate the arthritis in my wrist. Mom said it didn't get totally dark, it was like duck and it got colder. She was at my Aunt Linda's out in the country for their Eclipse Party. Here is a picture, Aunt Linda and Mom under the blankets, not sure which second or 3rd cousin is under the cute eclipse glasses! And the clan of Aunt Linda's Family!

And a big crowd in Albion!

Lisa, yes, I was wearing the eclipse glasses when I took the pictures. Looking at it through the glasses and camera, it was just a sliver of bright yellow on the right side. The picture didn't show that at all!  I was so glad to hear that Mr T has returned! I don't see that nest on explore.org!

baz, I hope they fixed your fingers up and that you aren't in excruciating pain!

Good Morning Everyone.  Happy Tuesday!

Currently: 61F cloudy with rain ,  a   high 62F,  Low 60F

Doc appt went well. Had a influenza and strep  swabs---negative.  Doc's NP told both of us to get more rest. As Jim fell asleep in exam room.
Walked out with a Zpack of  Azithromycin , Rx for a  gel tab for my cough and  another---neither of those will I take---side effects too risky for me  and size of pills too big for me and was told not to crush. So will just tough it out. Unless Jim can find a cough suppressant I can take, a liquid--- it was a rotten nite. This bug has taken Jim over a month and he's
still a mess. But it slowly clears. Looks like I'll follow suite. Antibiotic will certainly help! It's been just over two weeks for me. ::)

Looking forward to Camper's snaps, tks.
Puff, those clouds  dissipated just when we left the hospt.  ::)           The next eclipse in the US will be 2044 and show only in Montana and The Dakotas.

Clynn- looks like y'all had a big family eclipse gathering and lots of fun

Sadia told Jim that she'd have our lawn mowed for a while and not to worry. God bless her!!!

Glad Lulu has a vet appt. Hope all goes well.

Baz, glad  you saw the doc and hopefully you'll be good as new.

Hope everyone had a good nite.

Prayers for:     Our friend and ally the Nation of Israel and peace for her people. Laken Riley, all those like her and family; Eaglesrock . All abandoned, abused  cats and feral cats; The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . The Beakroom and Cheers.

MORNING EVERYONE

CLYNN  Funny metal sculpture  :)   I have a 5' tall black, scrap iron owl with a swivel head that sits on my patio.  I love him.
Tim is in charge of the vet visits with this cat.  He's the one that wanted another cat and offered to do more - so I take him up on it!!  He cleans the littler daily and is in charge of vet visits  ;) ;)  When Barb's cat passed away I got her soft carrier so once I clean it  (outside with Dawn and the hose )we can use that and it will be lighter.  I may get to that this afternoon.  Up to 61. ;D today
That is the cutest pic of Mom and Linda under blankets at their eclipse party  ;D  Good family pic with the matching tee shirts.  Looks like a fun time.

PHYL   Sounds like a plan!  Any chicken soup in the house?   " Napkins please"  Messy North nest  ;) ;)   Snow geese all talking at once.  Murmuration   ;D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRADLEY

Good Morning Beakers

tsk - Hope all goes well with Lulu at vet visit.  Thanks for the birthday wishes for Bradley.  :-*

E4E - Aww, so nice of you to put the nectar out even in winter.

Lani - It is hard to watch the Trem nest, cause you think the worse, but Mrs T seems to be doing great so far.

clynn - Aww, love the pics from the Eclipse party with your mom and family.  From what I understand, the Trem nest is not on Explore, but on RRP's webpage and you can also view it on YouTube.  That is where I have been watching it.  At the bottom of the RRP page when you watch it there, it says, watch on Your Tube.  I just like the full screen that YT gives you.

Phyl - Thanks for all the links this morning.

bounce

We decided to go at 8 a.m. After leaving at 9 a.m., grabbing a to-go bite, and picking up our glasses, we arrived at Lansing around 1:35 and I saw a sign for the city park. Little did we know it would be a harrowing, narrow, STEEP drive up a mountain with no guard rails! It was much more scary than the trip up to Palisades north of Duluth (if you can relate). There was a nice park at the top but the restrooms were closed, so we stayed only about 40 minutes. We drove around town a bit after before heading home and I snapped a pic of the mural.

Good Morning Beakers!    Partly cloudy, high of 81 degrees!
First half of the game, last night was not bad!  Pretty even match up!   Second half was like Purdue said, ok, You win!   We are going home now!
Bad weather coming here Wednesday night with rain, possible flooding and tornados!    Will keep occurring as long as these  unseasonable high temps keep happening !

This morning. E23 woke up and flew all over the nest area and even out of sight!  He came back to the nest tree for breakfast and was waiting for a food drop when I signed off!

The Tremplealeau nest is another story!    Mrs T is doing a good job with 2  little  ones.   She has to leave to fish and stretch her wings and must leave her babies alone in 44-46 degree temps!   T1 would like to get out of the bole and t2 seems ok to keep snuggling down!  Both scan the skies for incoming
Food or mama .  Mr. t reminds me of Louis!   Weather he is a new dad or has another family is a  good question!

Phyll, you sound better already!  Have meds and prescriptions. Even if you cannot take all of them!  Lol.  Does Jim have appointments yet?

Clynn, Albion looks like party time . For sire!  Wonderful family pictures!  Too bad your Soring visit did not coincide with the eclipse!

Tsk, Lulu?

Tig, great day trio!

Off to puck up taxes and a trip to Home Goods.

Dunrovin Ranch Osprey Nest cam
https://sportsmansparadiseonline.com/dunrovin-osprey-nest-cam/

Swoop arrived yesterday, and has been sitting here most of the morning. Usually Harriet is the first to return.

I'm not sure if this is Harriet or Swoop tidying up the nest and starting nest bowl. It looks like Harriet to me. But no confirmation in chat room.

Clynn, I miss watching Irma in Estonia, and I agree the Goshawks have bothered a lot nests, including the White Eagle's nest that Eagle-Duck loved to follow too... Wonderful photos of your mom, Aunt, Albion family, friends and community!  ;D ... love the metal sculpture! A pet sitter we used for Sadie/Dewey creates metal art. Her creations reflect her wonderful sense of humor.

Phyl, I'm sorry you're unable to take the meds. I guess you have to tough it out like you said.... doc gave good advice to you both, get lots of rest. {{{Phyl, Jim}}} ... what great news to read in the RRP that a male eagle Mr T? has shown up and is helping. I know we've seen so many of our favorite nests lose a mate as season with eaglets or chicks are starting... We're always reminded that nature is harsh, but that doesn't keep us from getting weeping. I know I do, and it's hard to watch.  :( so I just read the updates, then go back when good news happens.  :) ... Napkin please for DN baby. LOL!!  ;D ... and there goes the Snow Geese migrating to the Artic.... great birthday post for Bradley!

Tsk, Love your morning pic! I hope all goes well for Lulu.

Tig, great pics... love the mural.

Karen, thanks for E23 update and more on Mr T. .. Mrs T doesn't need a mate like Louis.  :-\ .. maybe a first time father.

Lisa, RRP blog says there's a male eagle possibly Mr T that finally showed up. I pray that's true and it continues.

Happy birthday Lisa's Bradley!  8)

yep TSK
The clouds cleared around 2:45. Grr. I actually preferred the broken cloud cover because we could easily steal glances and when there was a break quickly put our protective glasses up. And the clouds and trees added some interest to the pics IMHO. Our rear car windows are darkened so they were a great canvas to watch and record what was happening safely.
