Hi Lori!  Happy to hear that you are healing up nicely, and that Destini is doing fine too!  Maybe you should put those shoes away for a while, and get some 'safer' shoes.  :)  Thank you so much for your kind note {Lori}  Gorgeous picture ;D

Oldguy - Definitely dangerous weather conditions in No. Calif. - great vid you posted. :o ::)  Even Yosemite is closed right now and they don't know when the Park will reopen.

Kb - Lol! Ollie was "so excited" to be going for a walk that it wasn't easy to get his jacket on! ;D  Yikes - more snow; no wonder you are overworked  :o   Wish you could get over to Hawaii for a while - you deserve a vacation! :)   Hope you get 'Spring' weather sooner than later.   Cute Owl this morning.

Lani - We've been having lots of rain, but today is actually supposed to be a dry-out day with a high temp of 53.  You have probably already gotten more snow over there by now (?)  You've had quite a winter over there!

Phyl - I like the name 'Lucky' for egg #7 @ Sauces - sure hoping for all the best.  Thanks for posting Amy's blog 'Inside a BE egg', I have seen it before, but it had been a long time, so it was good to see it again - Thank you! :)

Clynn - Your high temp today is like ours!  Have a fun day with Bella  :)

LisaG - How are you & Jeff doing - are you guys rested up from the recent beautiful festivities? :)

Tsk - Wishing you all the very best tomorrow. {{Tsk}}

Morning Tig, Puff, BL, Blschue, Weasel, T40, Lilbro  :)

Beakers have a nice day.

Meanwhile we have sun this morning with a forecast of 55 this afternoon - 40s and 50s for highs for a week and less than 50% chance of rain as well - a calm start to March for sure...

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, Karen, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

Oldguy, thanks for link

Kb, cute owl is it real or fake, I keep looking. LOL!  ;D

{{{Hugs and prayers Tsk}}}  :-*

Lisa, Eagles, We've had rain, sleet and snow since the early hours. It's 34 and too warm for the snow to stick.
But, it's welcomed moisture that will fill our reservoirs and streams for our beautiful critters.

Phyl, thanks for RRP blog.. it will be interesting to see what happens at GSB. Prayers for Sauces 🙏🏼 I tell you these beautiful birds just keep tugging at our hearts with all their ups and downs.

Clynn, yeah, "the squirrel was kissing the egg!"  ;D LOL! It was definitely trying to break into the shell. I read in the DN thread they think the egg is not viable, because of the long breaks  both parents have spent away from the nest.  :( ... I'd be a bit worried sitting under that bus stop's roof! I wonder if the bus is even running  ???  Look at the layers of snow. Amazing! ... Beautiful Meadowlark.... Have fun with Bella!

After an early visit this morning by another chick's parent, the #RoyalCam chick made its first adult-like vocalization: a beautiful skycall.
Well done chick, the first of many more to come.

Lani - I have no idea....if it's real or not...LOL.

Love the skycall hmm, but not so happy that other mother was plucking at her feathers ya know!

An egg at the DNR nest broke (1 of 2)...pic provided at their fb page...someone suggested when Dad got up last evening it stuck to him. Not sure if it broke first and that's why it broke, or it stuck and that's what broke it.
Our icy/drizzly/graupely weather has not helped at this nest at all...

Good Afternoon Beakers

tsk - Love your March greeting, so St. Paddy looking.  :D  You will have a nice warm up today, too.

kb - Feather duster or owl, either way, it is cute!

E4E - We are doing good, and yep, all rested up! Are you getting excited for your trip?

oldguy - Minion smile, so true! Thanks for the Ryan forecast!

Lani - Pretty Hello March pic.  Aww, the Royal baby is growing up!

kb - I think that is what happened to Mom D's egg that broke a few years ago.  I was watching very early in the morning, egg was stuck to her and the next thing you see is broken egg.  I bet it stuck to MN DNR Dad  :(

Phyl - You be safe with the nasty weather headed your way, per oldguy's video from Ryan!

Remember Taho?....an update.

He was owned by the carjackers and before she threw it out of the car no one knows what she did to it.
A Johnson bulldog...

Now being rehabilitated emotionally.

From Pet Haven:
So… we did a thing.
If you’ve been watching the local news this past month, you have likely seen the story of the white puppy tossed from a vehicle during a police chase of a carjacked vehicle.
The chase started when the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office was notified of a carjacking and possible shooting. As the chase made its way onto highway 694, police saw the passenger door open. They braced for a possible gun but, instead, saw something white tossed out of the car.
After reviewing footage, they realized it was a puppy. The next day, they found him in a snow bank about 50 yards from where he was thrown, hiding in single digit weather.
Given the name Taho, he was immediately brought to BluePearl Pet Hospital where it was determined his leg was broken among other injuries. He rested up in a foster home and had surgery a week later.
Taho went to two other homes after surgery. It’s unknown if the mix of major surgery and medication had an effect on his behavior, but Taho became uncomfortable hearing other dogs in the house. Unfortunately, this led to redirected bites on his caretakers.
Due to this, Taho couldn’t complete his mandatory bite quarantine in-home and had to be moved to a shelter where he ended up at risk of euthanasia.
After all he’d been through - seen and unseen - the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office couldn’t let this happen without giving him a chance. They jumped into action and asked a couple sources where Taho could go.
One name came up.
And that name was Pet Haven.
When we got the call, we said YES and knew exactly what Taho needed.. an experienced handler dedicated to his behavioral health as, although he has come a long way physically, the emotional trauma recovery is just beginning.

Enter our partner, Follow Me Dogs, who will be fostering Taho in their rescue program. Follow Me Dogs works with all dogs and all behaviors - with a special spot for those who need a chance despite the odds.
First up is a two week reset and assessment in which they will learn what makes Taho tick. Next, they’ll devise a plan catered to what he needs to be his best self and how to get him there. We hope that he can gain the confidence he needs to thrive.
But for now.. knowing he has a chance at the good life is enough.
We are incredibly grateful and humbled to be trusted with his care and will post updates as Taho’s journey unfolds.
**Any donations that have been sent to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Foundation for Taho’s care will continue to go toward his medical and behavioral training expenses. Link to the full article of his harrowing experience in the comments.
**For those wondering about Taho’s owners/family, the owner of the stolen car did not claim Taho as their dog and no one else came forward for him.
