You brought up memories of my hook pic BL Have no capture of it except in my bird brain. . .

I didn't have enough knowledge or experience to know there even was a difference between M and D.  I was simply overwhelmed by the vision.

Eagle was sitting upright at the end of the right-side branch of the Y.  Sitting with the beak in a regal pose catchiing the scent of freedom.  Wind was gently fluffing the feathers of the beautiful creation.

"God's beautiful creation sitting free in the moment being what it was best at doing just being regal and glorious."

I felt so overjoyed to share in such magnificant joyous sight.  I felt so happy to share the eagle's freedom and know it was just an eagle in the moment, just being an eagle.   :'(      :'(      :'(

Do you all know what I'm trying to share?

Yes, I do, Puff! Beautifully stated!

Lots of great pics in the past day or two!

BL, your "new rails" and "Keep Away" signs are exactly what N1 needs!  I loved those additions and they made me laugh out loud.

The presentation by John and Amy on Tuesday had lots of good info and good news for the Decorah nests.  It sounds like we will get to see the Hatchery pair in their new nest if they decide to use it this season.  I'm still crossing fingers and toes that they return to N1.  Holy Cow, there could be TWO nests of Canada geese in the Spring!

BEs are in the area; so is the wet, snowy weather.  About 8:30 AM, one perched near N1, I would guess that it's HM.  Another in branches above the horse pasture, perhaps HD.

A few pics from Decorah - HM on the N side perch early this morning, she stayed for a while.  HD did a few fly-by's back and forth till he landed in a tree in the horse pasture N of N1 (just above the branch in pic & a closer view).

Lisa, thanks for your pics and location notes.  I modified my post from earlier today.  Did I get it correct?
