Early this morning, all before 5:30am DH2 was delivered two fish by each parent.  HM did get a lil beak from DH2, when she delivered her fish.  After the fish, DH2 settles down in nest.

Looks like a good day at N1, at least after that 4:30 AM encounter with the barred owl!

It sure was STL.  HM brought in two raccoons later this afternoon.

It also looks like it is/was a great afternoon for windy flight and soaring lessons for DH2 ..   :)

LisaG I think there is a good chance that DH2 will still be in the Hatchery area on 07/20/23 for the ATF.   8)

She doesn't seem to be in too big a hurry to leave N1 and surrounding environs.  :)

Now if only HM and HD would escort that pesky Barred Owl from the realm.  ::)

Here's a blurry pic of HM with the second raccoon, and DH2 guarding and hollering over the first, at about 2:00 this afternoon.  Strong wind and shadows interfere with getting good pics!  The nighttime pic of DH2 on the Y is clear -- wind has died down.

Morning Tuesday two food drops. First a small fish at barely daybreak, then HM flew in with a small furry something and DH2 in hot pursuit.  Not in a mood to share, but to demand more -- that's DH2 today.

DH2 spent some time perching on an N1 branch opposite the Y.  Previous eagles have used this branch but not so much HD and HM.  Then DH2 flew off to the area upstream and perched there for a while.  See pic with circle.

The Y seems to be DH2's favorite spot to perch today.

Lisa, DH2 is a member of the Hatchery clan!  Sure hope that the ATF attendees get to see the family in just a few more days!

Sure hope we find "the cure" for our streaming glitches and get back to LIVE real soon.  :-\ :-\

Cameras on and off because of heavy rain storms in the area this morning.  Some GREAT views, thanks to the intrepid and expert cam ops.  Feeding and flying are way better on the rewind or video.  Pics are just teasers.   ;D

Right after DH2 fledged, there was mention of a "gang" of eagles he/she seemed to have joined. I wonder if the two sub-adults in the area are part of that gang.  They seem to be compatible, perching near each other upstream from N1, at those bluff trees.
