Thanks to all for pics and comments. It's wonderful that HD's foot is looking better and that these young parents are learning the art and science of feeding a tiny baby. Does anyone have an idea of what is wrong with DH2's left eye? He is such a cute fuzzball!

I have not noticed anything wrong with DH2's eye.  I took this snap earlier today, and both eyes look ok to me.

DH2's eye has been commented on before and we were told there's nothing wrong with the eye. From my own personal experience I, too, thought there was something wrong with the right eye but have come to realize the nestling might just need a comb! ;) I think the feathers on the right brow seem to slightly cover the eye and make DH2 look like s/he's squinting.

This eaglet certainly will have enough to eat!  It's feathers are matted from all the fish goo.  Eaglets grow several sets of downy feathers, so it will look clean again even with no way to bathe, and no mother to lick it clean like cows and cats do.
