LORI, LISA, T40, and so many others thanks for the pics, vids, and gifs. All that rabbit fur would have made a comfy lining for the nest bowl just before the storm hit, followed by today's winds. Fortunately, eagle parents know how to keep their babies warm. I noticed in the de-furring vid that DH2 had a nice, full crop. Calories on the inside must add warmth. Our newbie parents have surely been tested: a dead hatchling, the learning curve for feeding a tiny beak, high winds, a snow storm with more high winds, and a hungry intruder. They are doing well so far and will figure out how to meet the challenges ahead. DH2 is a lucky kid.
