Several folks I know are asking me what 'T1' stands for as I post Amy's blog post in Beakroom.
This is my only question about the current blog post.
I have a theory about meaning of 'T1'. However, I'm keeping it to myself.

Post Script:
I've posted a similar quesiton in the 'Ask Mods' thread

Phyl -Your pic below from this morning - that is T1, and from the post that RRP made with the Branch ID T1 stands for Tree1.

Possible reference pic for the location of T1. This one is from New Year's Day, 2022.
Phyl, yours is almost the same view.

I believe T1 stands for Tree #1. I just don't know which tree that is! :P

T1 is the tree to the right of N1 closer to the bridge.  That is what I get from the pics that was posted by RRP.

That is exactly what I thought 'T1' meant. Thanks y'all.
Come to think of it---same thought about the location. I bet I read all that a while back ---and Life happened and I forgot.  ::)

Oh, I hope this pair delivers eggs this year!!  Eggs, then little fuzzballs, then gawky eaglets, and on.

Yesterday afternoon, HM brought something to nest.  It was hard to see, but it looked like it had fur on it.  HM flew out, HD kept looking at it, but eventually flew out.  Just before cams went to IR, HM came back for it.  Whatever it was, it looked frozen and flat.

Lisa, good to see your pics from late yesterday.  The frozen prey still there this morning, I'm guessing rabbit or squirrel.  Anyhow it attracted a Sub-adult BE about 9:00.  It's a great if brief video sequence.  The Sub lands on N1, takes a quick peck at the frozen piece, looks up just in time to leap into the air as HM lands!  And HD right after.  Both challenge/defend calling.

Not sure which BE is in the sunrise pic. But the others have IDs.

T40, thanks for the local news about the Decorah eagles.  It's great that the locals are kept in the loop.  Not that we far-away watchers would be the tiniest bit jealous that we can't just go see in person!

More pics from this morning's action, and more from later in the day.  The Hatchery pair seemed on alert all day.  Around 4:00, HM ate the bones of that carcass on N1. Closer to 5:00, she ate another furry, red meat item while perched on T1.  Bones provide calcium for eggshells, correct?

That sub-adult is just beautiful and either very hungry, very brave, or very stupid to take a chance landing on N1.  I'm posting the reference chart for telling approximate eagle age by beak colors, eyes, and head feathering.  And the closeup again.

And HM perched close to the nest, and eating prey from T1 branch.
