Cal, thanks for the awesome bison pic! I haven't always been a fan of Ted Turner but I do like what he is doing for the bison! Yep, Gordon Gee is president of WVU. He is a comical looking guy who always wears a bow tie. He retired from Ohio State University (after saying some things about Notre Dame that he shouldn't have said)before coming to WVU a couple years ago. He was also WVU president years and years ago. The state really likes him and he seems to love it here! He is in his early 70's. Like most West Virginian's I love pepperoni rolls! Lol! We watched another Star Wars movie the other evening. It's the one we saw way back in the 70's...A New Hope. I didn't remember any of it from before! Lol! Now on to the next one what ever it is! Crow knows! Lol! Tad's barn sounds great! That's what you need! Then you wouldn't work yourself to death in this heat! I want to see that movie Secret Lives of Pets! Bet it's a cute one! You'll have let us know what you think!  I like Charley Rose, too, on PBS and with Gayle and Nora on CBS. My OB/Gyn Dr Sims looks and sounds just like Charley! Well, I don't know about now, but he did when he was my dr 30 some years ago! Lol!

hi rues! missed half of keeping up in the barn it was one you saw hya bbq ay her sister violets you know...i went to my royals game in was on a different channel but found it. we are behind by just one top of the fifth now. saw jps marlins ahead by one cleveland htg indians are losing to the orioles 3-0 and tigers are losing! i was never big turner fan but i am now! i am now love ted. those bison so cool. yes they had a picture of your gordon gee and he was wearing a bow tie! i love a new hope! i was going to ask you if you ever saw it yet! harrison ford so handsome luke too everyone looks so good and such a good movie. the empire strikes back is your next one a d rues it is just as good or little better. new hope the first one always be special to me.i remember going to see it at the show with steves sister long long ago in a galaxy far far away. after that one empire strikes back and then return of the jedi and it is really good too. i will see secret lives of pets next week when sister is here and suppose to be cooler not have to hose down all day long. we are going to go to home depot and check out installation for the barn. maybe tomorrow. oh ventura my pitcher is down on the ground.ball hit his lower side he made the play to first got the out went down. inning is over. anyway that tad told jim it didnt cost that much to cool his big barn. so maybe i wont have to run all them fans cost alot to do that. it would be wo derful to have it cool out there. for all of us. put a furnace in too i think. not like have to run them all year. yes i love charly with gayle and nora!

There is a GOM here.  For several days we have had rain in big thunderstorms with plenty of lightning but our power remained steady.  This  morning, a clear lovely one, the power went out.  It did, finally, comeback on but it was enough to upset me but now that the computer is back up it is not settled down enough, yet.

cal, the Marlins beat the Mets, and their best pitcher, 7-2.  Game with them today at 1 this afternoon.

My grumpiness does not interfere in my wishing all a "Smooth Sunday".  May all your plans for this day come to fruition.

Good morning jewelies it is 84 here and very muggy. so depressing. i hope this is the last day on this weather and the worrying and hosing down every half hour. looks like i will be starting that pretty soon.

Hi JP! GOW here so you have some company. Last week no rain no wind and at 1 am power went off here too but did come back on in like 15 min. hoping to get that generator hooked up  next week then i will not care about the power going out.  yay for the marlins! the royals did not do as well we ended up losing to the rangers at home. soria stumbled again. lost 7-4. i wish they would send him somewhere. send him to cleveland!!too bad cause cleveland lost again the tiger game got suspended it was tied 3-3.

got all my stuff to finish and then start hosing down hi to all you guys!

Cal, it's so funny how my Hyacinth episodes were following yours and after pledge break it's the other way around!  Wonder what will happen after the next pledge break!  Robin is going to go see the new Ghost Busters movie this afternoon. I've heard good and bad reviews on it. I liked the original way back when. Usually I don't like remake movies. She'll let me know what she thinks!

HI Rues! it is 102 in the barn on my break.  Suppose to be storming tomorrow and cooler we will see. it is funny after the break you are ahead of me. thats okay cause you can tell me what i get to see! probably be pledge time again soon. Jim and i went to lowes real early this morning. there was a breeze this morning and girls out in pasture. so we took off. jim got the stuff to make a half privacy fence so dogs cant pee on our expensive generator. we look at insulation for the barn. we got two rolls of this foil bubble like stuff. and then we saw the big 4 x 8 inch thick polyfoam like sheets. it will go over that foil bubble wrap stuff.. we are not doing the drop down ceiling i told jim my barn does not have huge high pitch just insulation the ceiling and go with that he agreed. so we put up two rolls of that foil stuff. we will need a boatload of it. it covers 2ft by 25ft and we stapled it to the board running crossway up in the ceiling. then have big boards running the other way so a space of 4 and half feet. so will need more than two rolls to cover each space. jim got his big tall ladder and we took turn climbing up it and stapling that stuff on. so short five ft on both of them. jim will get more tomorrow when he gets off work. the big polyfoam sheets will go fast covers big area and excellent insulation will take time but we will get there. meanwhile hosing very half hour.  jim said got to have a furnace for to have an ac. he want our propane com to bring out a separate tank for the barn. that is fine with me. won't take alot to heat it i will set it on 45. good for the girls and sweets and me. i told jim to scare sweets so i could hose him down not get his bed wet scare him  like sister does. he could not get him to go so he picked up this huge long board and waved it at him sweets took off for that corner i hosed him down but jim felt really bad. went in the house and got him some cookies was talking real sweet to him.  he looks at sister and takes off!!  i heard the new ghostbuster was bad but i am with you rues like the original real good like willy wonka loved gene wilder did not need to remake it with depp. i didn't even watch it cause wrong. don't need to remake them. try to come up with new ones.  hope robin likes it. boo boo been going to bathroom in the living room every day. jim let him out and we went to work in the barn came in and he went in the living room so i locked the gate and he can't come in there till he knocks it off. i let corey dog out yesterday and he came back in my room hiked his leg and peed and whipped his ass too. he was shocked over that. today he has NOT gone in my room. jim needs to let boo boo have it. he said i can train him well so much for jims training.

Hi JP! been working outside all day but came in to see if royals playing yep and i can hardly believe but we are winning 1-0  oh wait wrong now we are losing 2-1 well thats more like it.

Hi you guys. weather showing our area 100 plus down in clinton mo little south of kc 116 and he said that is the hottest temp in the whole country!! jim brought up that generator on this little metal trailer dad davis made me years ago. he used his 4 wheeler. got it in the dogs yard i went and worked in the barn came back got my camera and took pictures going to the barn and took a picture of jim working on that fence generator sitting on that pad still in the box i said how did you get that on that pad it weighs 500 lbs he said i put it there baby. i took pictures in the barn of that insulation i was talking about. rose is in heat so she is a idiot right now. she is the only one that still does that. i had the corral locked that last couple of days ron mowing and baling. i saw she bossed soda out. was mad at her but soda was eating i took a video of sweets and then saw soda runnin back to her barn and i took a video of her coming back and rose came too. i talked soda back in thru the door. she is blind little eyesight in one eye i saved but with her mask on blind. spray and spray for flies but they are so bad this year. ron here now to get his tractors he was not feeling good like he had the flu yesterday. dee his wife dropped him off yesterday and got lost going home. jim and ron went and got her she has alzheimers and has good and bad days jim said but i don't think she should drive anymore. ron has everything to take care of on their 230 acres farm i asked jim if dee stays indoors on these really hot days so he doesn't have to worry about that he said yes but for how long i wonder? she was always afraid she would get that her mom had it.  will download all the pictures and video later. jim finished building that privacy fence no gate yet and said better open that box and get out the paperwork suppose to rain in the morning i was hot and was heading in the house to give scootie his dope and i said i ain't climbing over that fence and he said your not? NO i would of gotten that out of the box first then finish the fence came in and boo boo poop a huge pile behind my table.......

Hi JP! i had to take Jim back to his shop in his truck had the radio on and wade davis did his part no more runs scored in the 9th and royals had the tying run on but blew it.

Cal, Dee getting lost reminded me of my mom and her Alzheimer's. Mom's hairdresser had her beauty shop in her basement just 4 houses down from me. My next door neighbor, Wilma, told me that Mom had stopped at her house to ask how to get to Julie's beauty shop.  So Wilma showed her where it was. She said Mom had a strange lost look on her face. That's when we knew Mom's Alzheimer's was advancing more than we realized because she walked to Julie's to have her hair done every Friday for years. I feel so sad for Dee and Ron.  How did you and Jim stand to climb up a ladder in that hot barn! You two could have had a heat stroke! I went out a little while ago and watered some plants and thought I was going to die!!  We got up to 95 today but they said it feels like 112. Some areas got some rain but we didn't. My grass is brown and crunchy. May not have to mow this week! Can't wait to see your pics and video!
