Snowman ... 30:51     56° (4:11 pm)   Heavy grey clouds, quite windy ... and waiting for the rain we were promised.

I hope that all is well, or at least better, for everyone here.

Hi Cal ...  For the most part, those donkeys and mules do seem to get along most of the time.  The tallest of the donkeys is named Pockets.  I think he was born there.  At the different Cams, you can run your cursor along the red line at the bottom of the picture and see what has been happening over the past hours in the day, click at any spot and watch whatever.  There is a Mail Call Monday thru Friday at 4 pm est.  with Carlene, the owner and a volunteer or staff member.  She is a character, but a very good person.

Hi Joho.  Did you get that Chili going for yourself?  Sounds like great weather for it.  Even though my weather is not as cold as yours and Cal's is, I think I should do the same.

5:03 No comment. LOL
Sorry Alice.  I am fine, just lots of football yesterday.  I thought I posted,  but somehow it got lost. Sorry.  Do not remember what all I said.
From what I see, today is a bright and warming day around Ohio. Blinds are all raised to catch the sun's warmth. Uh oh, as we speak my screen says "snow coming".  Now it says " mix coming".  So I don't really know what to expect.
I do know it is Monday Jan. 16th 2023.  MLK Day. No banks, no mail, and for me no paper.  This is the day that a lot of city workers head for Amish Country in Holmes County Ohio.  Joan and I used to go there a lot, and always on MLK Day.  We loved the Amish and their atmosphere.
I did find some chili in the freezer.  I have not been out to the store or any place since last Tuesday. Debbie and Boss came over on Saturday. I asked her to bring me some bread.  She had a loaf in her freezer and did bring it to me.  Now I don't need to go out for another week if I don't want to.  I called in four renewals on pills.  One needs Dr. action.  He is closed today.  So I will probably go out on Wednesday for the pills and maybe some milk.
My mail box is a community type box down the street and around the corner.  Not too far by car.  On foot in good weather and with new knees and back and a cane or walker I can get there and back in about 20 minutes.  With all the ice around lately it is scary, and it takes me about 30 minutes to make the trip.  Several times lately the mail door and the lock have been filled with ice.  They would not open. It is an annoyance and not a treat as I have enjoyed forever in all my other homes.  This is my sixth home since getting married in 1961.  It is the worst mail service I have ever had.
I am half heartedly planning to go to Ely later this Spring or Summer.  I am trying to include Debbie in this trip.  This complicates things a lot due to her child care obligations.  I have been also trying to coordinate with Iowa.  She and Joseph have a room booked for May 26th, but I don't think I can go that soon.  We will see.

Well thanks again EV 1 for being here.  Bye for now GBU and GB Ukraine

Sun Chairs ... 21:57     51°  (2:15 pm)  Rained all last night and off and on now and supposed to continue into tomorrow.  We shall see.  At any rate, it is a nice day, the plants are loving it.

I hope all are doing well.

Hi Cal.  Everyone loves Pockets so much, and she has such a nice temperament that the place is her forever home.

Hi Joho.   My father in law seemed to really enjoy going into Amish country too, and he especially enjoyed their food.  They lived in Ohio before coming to Arizona.  I don't think we have any Amish out here, but we do have Mennonite's.

41 degrees and cloudy, but heavy rain is coming. No, Cal her guest had to move out within a certain time limit according to some rules or laws on welfare, and she did.  Was lots of well matched football over the weekend.  I had no favorites in those games though.
I mostly like the scenery and food in Amish Country.  Joan always lied the shopping.  We did not like the way they treated animals.
Got an early start here.  I will being Boss over for a visit at 8am.
Now will go perk some coffee and get some cereal as usual.
