You sound relieved Cal.  If you get her car will you sell it for her, or use it to go get her every time?  So she will still get to ride in it?
This is a huge life change for you all.  God Bless

Hi Jewelies!  Is anyone seeing the Northern lights tonight?  Wish I could... It was a very nice day today, I worked outside... too long, it seems.  I feel like I've aged about 40 years!  lol

cal... It sounds like Polly is taking this new change in her life pretty well.  How old is her car now?   She hasn't had it very long, has she?    Can't believe Grizzy's almost 13!

lupine... I hope you get your snow!  Good thing you have a four wheel vehicle now, so you can go to the wedding drive through.

Hi to all!  Have a good evening!  Thursday night football tonight?  You never know these days who's going to play and on what day!  lol

Good morning everyone-  rain and snow on the way; i fed the outside guys early since rain will be here soon. I have just a couple of things to do outside this morning. I put in a marker flag on the end of a downspout extension south of the porch. I walk by there to fill the bird feeders and when it is covered with snow i can't see it and is very slippery.  It only takes one time for me to remember- being proactive this time.

I went to the rec center yesterday by myself and walked for 30 minutes. They had senior strength class so i went to that too. It was hard but i'm not sore today. Yay! It was good to see my friends. We all agreed that when we don't come to class we don't have a clue what is going on in our community. Also talked to my friend  on the phone who fell in late october and hurt her shoulder. She is doing well though her shoulder will never be 100%.She'll probably come back to class soon.

Hubby has been working outside to get some firewood cut up. The last thing he did before he got sick was drop two dead ash trees in the front yard. He was pretty beat when he came in. I'm so thrilled that we have so far come through ykw. My heart aches for the losses so many have faced this year.

Anxiously awaiting rain and snow.  Have a great day jewelies!

Cal, I'm so happy that Polly won't be driving anymore for her sake and everyone else! One less thing for you to worry about. Good plan to buy her car and use when needed.  Polly got her new car 4 months after we got ours. I still don't know how to operate all those bells and whistles! Lol! Hard to believe that Griz will be 13! Time flies by so fast.

Lupe, I hope you got your snow! We reached 67 here today! I wouldn't mind to have temps like that all winter! But next week rain and snow are predicted. Our weather guy said we may have a white Christmas this year. Can't believe Christmas is 2 weeks from today! Sign of the times going to a drive by after wedding thing! Robin's secretary tested positive so the rest of the office is going for testing this weekend. Vaccines can't come soon enough!

Ra, it's too light around my house to see the Northern Lights. There's street lights everywhere! Weather guy said he didn't think we could see them anyway. He thought we were to far south. I made chili Monday and had to use Walmart's Great value brand. It taste pretty good! I did look for Chili-0 at Piggly Wiggly and Krogers and  found zilch! Must be a Covid thing!

Here I go again...in today's Advent Calendar Art Gallery Book in the cottage on pages 17 and 18 was Santa at the Arctic Circle in the Santa Claus Office in Rovaniemi, Lapland Finland. Robin and Robin were there and sat with Santa! I originally posted this pic back in January. What a coincidence!

hi jewelies it is 37 here rainy 51 in the barn 3 raccoonies all dry waiting for food they spent the night in the barn warm and dry in there.  griz was barking and barking i just got in here so went back to the kitchen told him to be quiet for alittle bit okay told brownie to go lay down and she went to lay down right in front of the gate that i needed to come back out told her not there!

hi rues! i remember that picture so fun to see it again!  :)somewhere i have my picture when i was little with santa. rats on sec testing positive your right vaccine cant come fast enough should be getting out they said this weekend.  jim had called ford credit asking what we needed to do to take over sisters loan lady snotty to him he said would not say needed polly and i told him i see that its her loan he said just wanted to know what we need so being jim he told her %$@ you not going to pay interest to you just pay it off period. so he borrowed from our tespe at ford and we should get that check in 10 days and put it in our checking pay off her car i plan on doing elec check no more cashier check and no more usps mail they lost the last one to pay off our truck and we are going to do that too. then we pay back our tespe have it taken out of jims check interest on it way low too. there goes griz again. my time grows short.

Good morning everyone- snowing here finally. It rained all day yesterday. As dismal as it was we needed the rain and we only had to go out one time.   cal- don't read the rest of this paragraph.  We got a quarter beef from Duke's family and the locker called to say it was ready.  I was amazed at how  much 204 # was in the finished state.  We had 2 coolers and a huge box of ground beef packages. Our freezer in the basement is almost full.   Though it was a huge outlay of money at one time it worked out $2.50 a pound in the end. I'm sure this will last at least a year. Sorry cal.

rues- i remember that photo too and am sorry Robin's sec tested positive. Our whole country is in a sorry state. Talked to my friend who has a vet clinic- she said they all got ykw in october and were closed for 10 days.

On the other hand i spoke with my brother on wed- he called and when i told him we had covid  hesaidwell- it's just like the flu and the death rate is the same as flu.  Well- i blew up at him.   It was rough on us. Told him statistics- 30,000 to 40,000 is average deaths per year for flu according to the CDC.  We are up to 282,000 with covid. Where are you getting your numbers?  Then he said- well- only old people are dying.  Geez- what is wrong with you? I won't go into the whole conversation but wow! I love my brother but i don't like him.

Izzy getting antsy to eat so i'd best go.

Have a great day jewelies!

 Hi EV1
Lupine you need to shake your limbs.  This kind of snow hit here  and now many shrubs and yews and arborvitae are broken because I could not reach them to shake off snow.  It stayed on day after day.  There was not enough wind to clean them off.  So they gradually bent further and further down.  Many never came back up.  I lost my favorite miniature Japanese Maple.  That Joan and I planted 8 years ago.  I am very sad .
