Good morning everyone-  Izzy and i slept in again. She is such a gem. no insomnia for her.

cal- no animals hurt in our field fire but some were displaced.  I think the smoke drifting southwest brought some rabbits into the yard here. And sil said she saw 7 deer move away from the area.  So no one injured and there is plenty of space left for everyone.

We watched some football yesterday. Iowa and Iowa State both won.  I see the Chiefs play tonight. I'll have a hard time staying awake. I've seen a couple ads with Patrick Mahomes in them-very good! Go Chiefs.

We are hoping to be off quarantine today. Hubby had a slight fever on friday and he has to be normal temp for 24 hours before he can be off quarantine. I need to get some groceries soon. The problem now is nothing sounds appetizing.  That doesn't help making a list easy. I opened a can of sardines last night- couldn't smell them but izzy went crazy. Gave her a bit . Yum!

Maybe breakfast pizza today- maybe not!

Have a great day jewelies!

Had to go out for most of afternoon. but did see end of brown's game.  I see I missed a whole lot of scoring by both teams.  They sure finished close to each other.  Yay Browns.  Been a long time coming.  Go Chiefs.  Yay Lupine and hubby recovering.  Eat some horseradish maybe.  Should taste that.  Then make list. LOL  Mine always starts with milk and bread.
Gotta go root for Packers now.  Then Chiefs. cul
God Bless

black bear people of ely mn said this.....ust wanted to let everyone know that Dr. Rogers called today, his spirits were up, as chipper as ever, talking about plans for Lily's cam.  Sounds like the procedure is scheduled for tomorrow. Will keep you updated. - LM

hi jewelies i had to go tell griz be quiet for a little bit please so far he is. its 28 here 51 in the barn 3 raccoonies.i hope all goes well with dr rogers. good they are keeping us posted. it was not pretty but chiefs won 16-22 big night for field goals and we clinch a playoff spot. tickets are on sale

A ticket to the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium is trending at $408 on the secondary market, which is 67% more than fans paid on average to see a regular season game.  The $408 average would rank as the priciest of the decade at Arrowhead Stadium.

On the secondary market, fans can purchase tickets starting at $261 on the 300 Level in the end zone, and go up to $5,494 in  Sideline section 104, Row 1. There are myriad Club Sections still available, starting at $756. Club ticket holders get access to the 200 Club Level, which includes lounge access, early entry to the game, and premium food-and-beverage options.

Lower Level tickets start at $413 in the Endzone, $402 in the corners, $510 on the sidelines and $709 at midfield.

or watch it from the safety and comfort of your home. :)

Good morning everyone- 33 here and it must be cloudy. Before i forget- did any of you see the Star Link satellites on saturday night. It was so bizarre- about 12 satelites parading one behind the other from WSW to NNE a little after 6 PM here.

Hubby and i went for breakfast pizza and then did a little grocery shopping yesterday.  I was okay but hubby is still puny. I seem to be recovering faster than him. My walking friend and i decided to take another week off from going to the rec center. I'm going to maybe walk a little more around here.

Yay Chiefs- going to watch Steelers tonight-  4 PM- maybe. So far it isn't listed on our Fox channels.

today i am going to honor Nordic tradition- hide the brooms and enjoy the holidays.  lol

Have a great day jewelies!

Sorry to see Steelers lose.  Was really hoping they could stay unbeaten.  Good game though.

Good morning everyone- glad you guys got to see the game but it wasn't shown here. Stupid Fox channel! It is probably good i didn't see it. So sad to see the loss but glad for Washington.

I actually got some cleaning done yesterday. Cleaned the bathroom and swept the floors. I used a hand vacuum to get the corners and i found out izzy doesn't like that vacuum. She sat on the porch till i was done. It was a cloudy and damp day yesterday- just plain grey. I got into town to pay our nephew for the bird food and pick up lunch from Second Street Sweets. Liver and onions for me. Yum.

Need to do a grocery haul sometime this week. We continue to convalesce and continue to marvel at the people who won't wear masks.

Have a great day jewelies!

ra says that, too!  lol

Hi Jewelies!  Been outside sweeping my sidewalks off, pretty chilly... still in the 40's.  But, sunny!

lupine... I couldn't figure out why you said that yesterday about hiding the broom... until I read yesterday's book in the advent calendar.  lol  I see you didn't hide it after all.  Wish I had seen the satellites the other night...

cal... Hope Smokey is running ok for you now.  My daughter is trying Walmart pickup today.  I haven't been there in awhile, so I asked her to get me a couple of confetti angel food cake mixes.  I like to keep them on hand... reminds me of my mom.  She always made them for us... with cool whip on it.

Hi to all!  Have a good day!  Off to do some stitching, been busy with other stuff lately.  Tree is up, presents are wrapped, cards are done, muffins are made.  I'm ready for Christmas now!

I say gag to the liver and onions, too! My dad loved it so mom would fix it a couple times a year for him. She would say gag to it, too! Lol!

Cal, glad to hear that Dr Rogers is home! Yay! Very nice of the Walmart guy to help you with your groceries! There are nice people out there! I watched a little bit of Dolly Sunday night. I thought her voice sounded funny. She sounded like she had a lisp. Maybe it was my tv but any way I turned her off and watched PBS.

Lupe, good news that you and hubby are doing so much better! Robin just called me to tell me that her office may be in quarantine again.  The secretary's husband's boss tested positive yesterday so the secretary and her hubby were tested and awaiting results in a few days. Robin says just in case she was exposed she will not be coming around us this week. Bummer.  I love that Nordic tradition! I especially liked the part where maybe the witches will pick up the brooms and clean up! Lol! Tela and Maui are frightened by the sweeper! They run and hide in the basement! Wilson normally follows me around and watches as I run the sweeper. Not much scares that big boy!

Ra, it hasn't gotten above 40 here in the past week! Thursday, hopefully, will get up to 55! Yesterday sis and I drove to Tyler County to decorate our grandparents graves for Christmas. It was bitter cold and spitting snow up on that hill at our maternal grandparents graves. Our paternal grandparents are buried in a different cemetery closer to town. Their graves are located on the side of a hill away from the wind! It was so much warmer there! Like we always do, we stopped at the Sistersville Dairy Queen. We went to the drive thru and then took our hot dogs down by the river to eat. Too cold and windy to eat outside   so we ate in the car. We watched a huge puffed out hawk sitting on a tree stump. We both always look for birds when we travel together. We counted several hawks on the drive up but the best thing happened as we were driving home. We saw an eagle sitting high up in a tree. Sis pulled off to the side of the road and we just sat and watched it. We both knew we couldn't get a good pic with our cell phones so we didn't even try. :( Then he kinda swooped down and flew off up the river.  It was awesome! My tree is up but I am no where near ready for Christmas!

Have a nice evening! Stay safe!
