Good morning everyone- major sleep in after reading late into the night. Very foggy here for the first day of spring. TY Lori for the greetings.
cal- those pictures of Ted so wonderful;  he really made the effort to get to Dr. Rogers. I've seen him licking snow so I don't think he needs a pan of water just yet.

I went to the grocery store yesterday for the few things that were on sale that I like. Fareway kept 8- 9 AM for seniors only and there were several people in there at 8:45. Usually I like to shop early and there may be one other person there. I got home and hubby looked in my bags and said- No Toilet paper- lol  I usually keep tp in pretty good supply so I didn't need any. Left what was there for those in need.

Foggy this morning and maybe storms later. Today is the day my sil goes to the hospital to have the dressing on her PIC line changed. I'm going to encourage her to call the infusion center to see if there are any restrictions yet. We are sheltering in place I guess- the places we usually go are closed.

Today i'm going to start planning what flowers i'll plant this year.
Also we got our census forms in the mails yesterday- we are going to try to do it on line.

Have a great day jewelies!

Hi Jewelies!  Supposed to get up to almost 80otoday!  Spring??  Sun is out, temporarily.  Storms may be coming.  I got up early and went to the grocery store at 7:00 before I went to work this morning, thinking I would beat the crowd and get what I needed before the shelves got cleared.  No bread products at all, no hamburger, no chicken.  I got the last half gallon of milk, the last big can of stewed tomatoes, the last pack of toilet paper that was on sale, the last bag of chips.  What a sad state of affairs this is... all because of ykw.

lupine... I did my census online, too.  It was easy... hardest part was deciding what nationality to put down.  lol I ended up putting German and English.

cal... Thanks for making the puzzles of Wilson!!  He's so pretty!  Love Ted's pics today!

The grands are having a hard time sheltering in place.  No matter what the news says, their generation thinks they need to be on the road and doing stuff all the time.  They don't think about the fact that they might be the ones spreading the virus...  Clemson grand's birthday is on Tuesday, but we're celebrating Saturday instead.  No going out to eat, so picking up something, then coming here.  She wanted to invite the whole family, but I don't want that many people here, plus a couple of younger kids, plus my ex.  She just doesn't understand...

Hi to everyone!  Have a good afternoon!  I'm leaving the tv off... I've seen enough of ykw.

Hi Jewelies! I did our census online today, too! I knew from my Ancestry DNA that I am Scot Irish. Crow knew he was Slavic on his paternal side but had no idea what his mom  was. He started working on his family tree on Ancestry a couple years a go but quit when he found out things about his dad that he never knew and wished he hadn't found out. He hadn't started working on his mom's. So I went to her family tree and found that her family was from England. I kinda figured that. I may continue to work on her family tree.

Cal, our Walmart is supposed to start letting seniors shop an hour before they open to the public. Problem is they are now opening up at 7am. That means I'd have to be there around 6am! I'm never up that early! Lol! I had heard that the auto makers were shutting down temporarily. Someone said they may start to build ventilators. That would be good if they could. I will have pity for you for having Jim home for an extended time! Lol! The guys that get together at Coyote George's decided to suspend their get togethers until things are back to normal. Have pity for me, too! Lol!   Wow, I'm so glad that text about Ron and Jim's dad was an old text! Glad we got our haircut on Tuesday because the governor just closed all barber shops, beauty salons and nail salons at midnight tonight. Also all exercise gyms. Thank you for making Wilson into a puzzle! I'll show Robin. I'm sure she will be thrilled! :)

Lupe, I took that pic of Wilson with Robin's iPhone. She cut herself out of the pic because she thought it made her look like she had a double chin! lol! Hoping everything went well for your sil today.

Ra, 80! That sounds like summertime! We were supposed to get to 70 but it just wouldn't stop raining long enough for the sun to come out. All my daffodils are blooming but they are bent over to the ground because of all the rain! Our libraries all closed today, too. Crow has been reading something on his tablet. Every time I go to any of the local stores there is never any toilet paper or hamburger! Weird. Guess those 2 items are what people want the most! A loose bull! We get excited when we see a deer in the neighborhood. Can't imagine how we would react if we saw a bull walking down the street! How old will the grand be? Looks like carryout is all there is now. We went out last Friday to the Italian restaurant never thinking it would be the last time we'd be doing that for however long it will be!

Have a great evening! :)

cal...My tv did that last night, too!  I was watching the Masked Singer and just before they were about to tell who was leaving this week, it went out and took forever to come back on.  Did all the stuff you were saying yours did.  About 8:55pm here.  I think I'm going to have to pass on borrowing your dogs this time.  But, thanks for offering!   :D

Just found out that Clemson will finish out the semester online.  Lots of disappointed kids.  No graduation either at this time.  Bummer.  Now they have to go back and empty out their dorms sometime...  Grand's roommate is in Illinois, so she probably won't be back.  Grand will hold on to her stuff I guess.

rues... Birthday grand will be 19 this year.  Her boyfriend is supposed to come up this weekend.
They have decided they're going to be vegetarians.  She'll probably want some kind of sushi for supper!  No thanks!  How about you?  I know how much you like fish.  lol  Maybe you'd like it raw...  lol  I think you can get it without the fish, too.  I looked at that restaurants menu online, and I've decided on a burger.  She's thinking about changing her major... yet again.  lol  Now she's thinking maybe banking or accounting... something to do with money.  I told her she should be able to find a job... there will always be money and taxes, right?  Expecting the seniors to be at Walmart so early is a little unreasonable I think.  I guess they think none of us can get a good nights sleep!  lol

Daily Updates
Ted - UPDATE March 19, 2020
19 March 2020
 Print Email
On this first day of spring (starting about 10:50 PM CDT), 23-year-old Ted mostly self isolated, Ted
Ted
using his tub to block any intruders that might violate his social distance.

The picture is from yesterday when he looked at me and began to speak his kind words. I love Ted, and if he would ever catch coronavirus, I hope I could find a cure for him. I think it is the bear?s humanlike qualities that help bind us to them, so maybe a human cure would be worth a try.

Thank you for all you do.

Hi again- the changes in our lives right now are immense. And we all seem to be coping rather well. I'm proud of us all. Even the dog in the shame picture who is making alternate food choices-(save the dog food for later). lol
Just a couple of weeks ago I was lamenting on the changes to my exercise class schedule. Now the rec center is closed and I who really dislike talking on the phone, make calls to check on friends.

Our trip to get sil's dressing change on her PIC line went well. At the entrance to the parking lot for the hospital and medical center there are gates and a little gate house where you got a time stamped ticket. Going out on the other side you payed when you left. This has been non-functional for several years- free parking. Yesterday the gate was closed and a lady- nurse maybe- or at least someone official- came out and asked all kinds of questions. I got a visitor tag to wear. Sil would have her bracelet when we got to the infusion center. In and out in 30 minutes and we went straight home.

Hubby just left to run errands. I wrote out the check to the well digging company- i'm sure I've never written a check that big. I had to practice to make sure I could get it on the line. He also needs to go to the hardware store for electrical boxes. I heard him talking on the phone yesterday that he was finishing a project started many years ago in the attic and upstairs. Yay for him.

Just went for a walk outside- windy and cold- 30- lots of green in the flower beds. It's very muddy out - hubby said we got over an inch of rain yesterday.
Need to get a move on- funny how fast the morning goes when you get up at 7:30. cul
