Good morning everyone- It is 30 degrees out and we had a beautiful snow yesterday. So fun to watch from the warmth of my recliner.  We got about an inch but it snowed all afternoon.

full confession- hubby and I went out yesterday morning. A convenience store about 10 miles from here makes their own breakfast pizzas and they are tasty. One piece is a meal. I called them to see if they would be open and they said yes for takeout. Yay!  They are also a gas station- open at 8 AM. No one was allowed to eat inside so no old geezers sitting around- very quiet. We got our breakfast and sat in the car looking out to the golf course to eat like we always do. We only had interaction with the cashier and came straight home.

We thought it ironic that the gas price is so low and there is nowhere to go!

ra- so glad that you got to celebrate with your family. I'm always in awe of your close relationship with your younger generation. You are a special lady.

cal- I hope you get all your errands done early. Duke's Mom called yesterday and said he won't come until Saturday this week. She is having the wedding dinner for 10 at their house and thought that would be too much for him- too many people for a short little guy. I'll be happy to have him.

Today is cleaning day. I sure miss my classes but am checking in with friends by phone. My niece from Montana also called yesterday- good to visit with her- all is well.

Have a great day  jewelies!

Hi Jewelies! It's chilly and rainy and the governor just announced that starting tomorrow at 8pm we are to stay home. You can still go to the grocery store, gas station, etc, but all non essential businesses must close. The state Supreme Courts ordered all courts to close for 3 weeks. Robin is working from home now. She said she had enough paperwork to keep her busy for a while. Her boss asked each of them to try and get 7 hrs work done each day and he would hopefully be able to pay them.  He applied for a small business loan. Sandy's surgery center is only working 2 days a week but that could change if they don't have any patients. Sis and I went to Walmart early this morning. There were a few people there and a lot of empty shelves. I always get Walmart's whole wheat bread but there was none so I got a loaf of Sarah Lee bread! Also had to get a different brand of hamburger buns! Might find out that those different brands taste better!

Cal, glad you saw that Blacklist was to have 2 episodes! I thought I was going crazy or something! Hope Jim's dad's surgery goes well. I bet that will be painful afterwards. I know how it hurts when you bite your tongue! Crow's dentist appt to pull his teeth isn't until April 30th. Hopefully things will be better then. :-\  My sis said her dentist cancelled all cleanings. I suspect mine will do the same soon.  Really good update pics! Could you imagine if those 2 cussers got together? It would be an x rated conversation!

Ra, I would do almost anything for Robin but I don't think I'd move so she could get in state tuition! Lol! That's cool if they have their own little prom! When Robin was in 9th grade for some reason the school decided not to have the Freshman prom. So some parents got together and rented a hall and a band and the kids got their prom. It was held a week before school was out!

Lupe, yippee, Duke is coming! You will have some fun this weekend! Our gas is no down to $1.75. I was thinking the same thing as you...cheap gas and no where to go!

hi rues! they canceled jims dad surgery sunday last minute i dont know when they will do it. good robin can work from home! hope he gets that loan i would so. my walmart had jims great value white sandwich bread and even had my sara lee diet wheat bread 45 calories per slice and sara lee honey wheat jim likes it too me too i like wheat bread sara bread so soft last a long time too. oh crow and jim would be fun like when we are at bettys with ron rick lawrence guys are funny. someone posted in dr westmans guest book yesterday i keep it up on my tabs this man said dr westman saw his daughter when she was very little and she was scared of the shot he had his son hold her hand during the shot and i tell you he put numbing gel on your mouth very gently the shot but he was so kind i mean so kind i miss him as a person too he was fun my favorite doctor. wow your gas is cheap i forgot to look this morning.

Daily Updates
Ted, the Gull, and Bandwidth - UPDATE March 23, 2020
23 March 2020
 Print Email
Ted
Ted
On this nice sunny morning, Ted went for a short walk; but it was a longer walk than I?ve heard of so far in 2020. I know how he feels. In the northland, we always look forward to spring at this time of year.Ted on a walk
Ted on a walk

The gull named 6 o?clock was back, probably also looking forward to spring. He is too early to find any open water. Undoubtedly hungry and knowing where the food is, he perched on top of the 40-foot white pine stump. Once we noticed him, we tossed bologna in front of the window by my desk. He spotted it, flew down to the railing and from there to the window where he also showed the signature dot on his right iris.

I suspect that coronavirus was behind the cams being down for awhile yesterday. With more people at home and students and businesses relying on the internet, our local internet provider apparently was having trouble keeping up with the bandwidth demand. I hope things get back to usual soon. In the meantime, all we can do is try to be safe and hope we at least can use the internet to connect.

hi jewelies it is 40 here 52 in the barn two raccoonies. i cant believe the pictures today. just something else. ted is looking pretty fit he probably gets around better with some weight off he sure loves his pan. such a cute bear like a big dog for sure. gull is beautiful striking. everyone sick of ykw ykw very depressing our local news showed awhile ago restrautant owner crying his eyes out laid off workers and said they have family to feed. our county has not cases of it and my town has 225 people i am happy we live rural no neighbors close by and we dont really talk to them anyway the good ones have moved or died. so i feel okay being outside alot and got my barn soon will have mowing again grass coming up at least cheap gas some where to go in the pasture mowing.

Good morning everyone- very quiet morning here- no rain and no wind. The update pictures are so good. Ted out and about- hibernation is such a wonderful thing. And that gull picture- I totally forgot about the webbed feet. I'm surprised he can land in a tree!

cal- it's funny you mentioned mowing this morning. When I saw the price of gas going down that is what I thought about too. I'm looking forward to getting on my speedy (mower) and mowing grass.  It was too cold and wet outside yesterday to do anything. But I cleaned the shower and replaced the shower curtain. And I cleaned the medicine cabinet too. Then I cleaned under the sink in the kitchen which is where I keep all my cleaning stuff. It had been awhile since that had been done.

Just watching the local news and all the weather people are doing forecasts from their homes. Good for them. Dry today so maybe I can get out. The mole has been busy so I need to mush those tunnels down and replace the mess the racoons have made of the grass.

Breakfast is late today- lol- Have a great day jewelies!

Good morning, Jewelies! Yay, the sun is shining and supposed to warm up near 60. I hope so because I need to get outside and do something. I have several day lilies that need separated and transplanted into another bed. I've put that off for a couple years! No better time to do it then now! Weeds are already invading the flower beds! I think this years daffodils are the biggest and healthiest looking ones I've ever had! Has to be all the rain we've had. Weather guy says we had a total 4 inches snow this winter! Temps were above average, too.

Cal, so far everyone tested in our county have been negative. Of the 630 tested in the state, 20 came back positive. All said they had traveled out of the state. So far, no deaths. Our local hospital says they are testing an average of 25 a day. Then it takes 4 or 5 days for the results.  Oh my gosh, those 2 gull pics are amazing! I showed them to Crow! Love seeing Ted out and about! My neighbor across the street has now mowed her yard twice! She is really on the ball!

Lupe, you know I changed my shower curtain, towels, area rug and clock all to a spring blue and neither Crow or Robin noticed! At least I appreciate my effort to brighten up the room! Lol!

Have a nice day everyone! Stay safe!
