Hi Jewelies!  Cold and rainy here today!  Finished my 84th book of the year!  Also got all my projects done and everything is wrapped and "bowed".  I'm not making cookies this year for the first time in many years.   We'll see what the family thinks of that!  lol

cal... If you've been wrapping stuff for 7 hours, you've bought way too much!  lol  I can't imagine!  The bluejay picture in the update is awesome!!  Betty's Restaurant looks good!  And, I noticed that somebody got okra!!  It looks yummy!  Do you like okra?

lupine... What kind of restaurant is HyVee?   Something like Applebee's?   Sauerkraut soup??  I love sauerkraut, but not sure about soup...  I've never heard of it before!

rues... Do you actually go to Walmart THREE times a week... every week?  Wow! Hate to hear that Tela is having UTI issues again.  Since Handsome was put on special food, he hasn't had any problems again.  He hated the canned food, so I changed to Fancy Feast, but he doesn't like that either most of the time.  He doesn't like the hard food much either, so for every bag of the kind I get at the vet, I add a small bag of Purina and mix it all together. He'll eat it then.  I hope Robin has fun in NYC!  How long does it take them to get there?   Does she plan to do some Christmas shopping, or take in a show, or sightsee?

This must be the Christmas for dogs... I've gotten two dog cards... One with two dogs and one with one.  Thanks cal and Nora!   ;)  In fact, they're the only cards I've gotten this year!!  Unusual!

Johoward and JP... Hoping you are doing good.  You, too, obsver!

Have a good evening, Jewelies!

Good morning everyone- 25 here and just a bit breezy. cal- glad you got most of your stuff done yesterday. sometime you should set up a camera when you are moving feral and coaly cat around so you can get the car out. lol would be interesting to watch.

ra- I'm very proud of you- 84 books this year. Maybe i'll keep track next year. Cal answered the Hy-Vee question for me- Mahome's ads for that store are great. His latest is a family around a table eating dinner and asking him to "pass" the rolls, etc. which is his specialty. Everyone protests when someone asks him to "pass" the gravy! lol  I stopped baking cookies too. However today is the cookie walk at a local church in town. Then they serve a lunch at 11. I mentioned it to hubby yesterday. My friend that I travel with sometimes reminded me that it's today. Hubby said he could eat a cookie or two. We shall see.

We've had a robin at our bird feeder in the last week. So I did a bit of research to see what they'll eat in winter. Hubby said he must have missed his flight south. Ive been putting out raisins, almond pieces and frozen blueberries. They do disappear during the day but I think the blue jays may eat that too. I know the blue jays really liked the peanuts I mistakenly bought last year.

cal- you mentioned okra- I haven't had that but one veg that I learned to like is collard greens. My CSA woman grew them- really enjoyed them in season.

jp- so good to see you- is it warm there?

ra- if you like sauerkraut I bet you'll love the soup. I looked on line and there are tons of recipes but I think i'll jst have it when Second Street has it.

time for breakfast- have a great day jewelies!

hi lupe i tried to take a picture of coaly once he freaked out seeing a camera and that flash he took off fast like i was krazy. lots of rules to coaly some on feral none on retro. so jim came out to the barn i was working out there said need to tell thad to sell some of your hay got 150 bales in thads barn been buying premium alfafa at orschelns so i said tell him to just keep 50 jim told him he been sick buying it at feed store so thad said he will bring over twenty put them up in my barn no room for them and i told pearl thad bringing that stick fill alfala pearl said crap i dont want to eat that! so jim talked thad into bringing just 15 i know he is being nice. so i been clearing spots for it.

Good morning everyone- 7 degrees here- brrrr! We aren't getting snow today cal- the storm must all be south of us.

Yesterday- I went to the cookie walk- They give you a container and after you fill it they weigh it. Cost is $6.00 a pound which is a lot of cookies. When I came home it was coffee break time and I ate 2 cookies. Then after lunch I had 2 and stopped there. Then in the afternoon my sil dropped off a plate with assorted candy on it. I'm really determined to limit sugar since I did all the research on what foods cause inflammation in my body. After 5 and a half months of just being in touch with when I have pain I know that I need to limit myself. That knowledge gives me motivation to limit.

Hubby brought up a load of firewood and left the trailor parked outside the basement entrance. The birds like to sit on the wood and we like to watch them. We had another woodpecker show up on the suet yesterday- no red belly yet.

cal- looking forward to the game at noon- I do like watching a game in the snow. Thanks for the Hy-Vee ad with Mahomes- he is really good at ads too.

jp and johoward- good to see you here. johoward- every time I see the ad for Cracker Barrell I think of you two.

Have a great day jewelies!
