Hi Jewelies! Another day with rain. Big storm just went through with thunder and lightning. Now it's a gentle constant rain. We have had 8 inches this month. Got our haircut this morning. The beauty shop is in the owners basement. She had fans sitting on the floor drying out the carpeting because one of last week's storms caused the basement to flood. The carpet was mostly dry and so far it wasn't smelling. We have really had too much rain. I'm surprised we haven't had any water in our basement.

Cal, yes, Hampshire County is real! In fact, that's where we rode the Potomac Eagle Train last Oct 2017! It is located in the eastern panhandle about 4 hours east of here. We had internet in our hotel room in Romney but we had no cell phone service anywhere in that area. That's a big problem in rural communities. I'm sure those folks feel sometimes like they are on the moon! After our morning haircuts we took Molly and Boo to the vet for nail trims. Since they are not allowed in the new car, we have to take them one at a time in the truck. Took Boo first then brought him back and got Molly. I was worried about Boo being home alone but he did ok. Glad our vet has the new satellite office a couple blocks away from us! He raised his prices though. Use to cost $8 for a trim but now it's $12.50! Crow says the doc raised the price to help pay for the new building! I feel bad about complaining how tired I am after mowing and trimming our yard and Robin's after hearing how long it takes you and Jim to mow yours! Less than an hour and half and both our yards are finished! The fawn and his mom were back yesterday. They laid under the neighbor's dogwood tree most of the day. The fawn walked around exploring while the mom watched. He is so cute. Glad your remote control has remained intact!

Jp, thanks for the pic of the juvies on the y! Everything is so lush and green there! Going to listen to your tunes in a second!

Lupine, I can't believe June is almost over, too! I almost forgot to pay my water bill! Glad I remembered the day before it was due!  July 4th is next week! :o  I didn't know that about salmon and smell. Very interesting. I read an article yesterday about birds using the Earth's magnetic fields in migration. Animals are amazing.

Have a nice evening! :)

Good morning everyone- sunny here with heavy dew- we are to get horrible heat on Friday and Saturday so am trying to get outside stuff done today and tomorrow. Already weeded the barn garden- I had 3 helpers- they chased each other and took delight at jumping out at my hands from under big hosta leaves.
thanks jp for the polks dot tid teddy, the bees and jewel- that has to be the best picture ever.
2:39 for the Hawksbury River bridge- quite a bridge.
rues- so sorry about all that rain- too bad you couldn't ship some to the west coast where they need it. I didn't know about migrating birds using the magnetic fields to guide them. Just imagine! I know most animals in the wild are sensitive to barometric changes in the weather but magnetic fields- hmm.

cal- isn't it about time for harvest of Missouri peaches? I always look forward to them- hope this was a good year for them.
Have a great day jewelies!

Ursula, looking pretty with her shiny coat.

I do not know what a Thur is but I still greet you all, happily,  on this Thursday.   And I hope it treats you all well.

Up late watching a baseball game which ended with the Marlins losing 2-1.  A pitcher's duel.  It is funny how you sleep late after a game and it doesn't bother if the team wins but it is annoying when they lose.  Noon game today so no excuse if I sleep late tomorrow.

Three days left in June then the year is half over.  Where has it gone?

Good morning everyone- ty jp for the teddy and beautiful innocent looking Ursula and Thursday greetings.
cal- that puzzle pretty much sums it up doesn't it. I think I did it in 6:00. Beautiful sunny morning but fog which indicates lots of humidity. i'm going out soon to finish the project I started yesterday- hate leaving stuff undone. Got 3 of the six spires bushes trimmed way back yesterday then it was just too hot. the 3 I got done were on the east side of the house where the swallow nests are. The babies fledged on Sunday and were gone when I went out yesterday. Some birdy returned about 11 so I quit and came inside intending to go back out after much. Was so sweaty I had to shower- just figured it would be a 2 shower day. Hubby came home just before lunch and said-should we go to Coralville and look to see if trees are on sale yet. There is a Mexican restaurant we go to for lunch. I said well- i'm ready! No tree but we had a good lunch!

Heading out the door- finish before it gets yucky today.

Have a great day jewelies!

Eli.

Good Golly Miss Molly, it is time for Friday greetings and I do so earnestly, hoping all of you have a fabulous day.

I also wish that the extraordinary heat will abate for those of you who are suffering from it.
