Hi Jewelies! Another day with rain. Big storm just went through with thunder and lightning. Now it's a gentle constant rain. We have had 8 inches this month. Got our haircut this morning. The beauty shop is in the owners basement. She had fans sitting on the floor drying out the carpeting because one of last week's storms caused the basement to flood. The carpet was mostly dry and so far it wasn't smelling. We have really had too much rain. I'm surprised we haven't had any water in our basement.
Cal, yes, Hampshire County is real! In fact, that's where we rode the Potomac Eagle Train last Oct 2017! It is located in the eastern panhandle about 4 hours east of here. We had internet in our hotel room in Romney but we had no cell phone service anywhere in that area. That's a big problem in rural communities. I'm sure those folks feel sometimes like they are on the moon! After our morning haircuts we took Molly and Boo to the vet for nail trims. Since they are not allowed in the new car, we have to take them one at a time in the truck. Took Boo first then brought him back and got Molly. I was worried about Boo being home alone but he did ok. Glad our vet has the new satellite office a couple blocks away from us! He raised his prices though. Use to cost $8 for a trim but now it's $12.50! Crow says the doc raised the price to help pay for the new building! I feel bad about complaining how tired I am after mowing and trimming our yard and Robin's after hearing how long it takes you and Jim to mow yours! Less than an hour and half and both our yards are finished! The fawn and his mom were back yesterday. They laid under the neighbor's dogwood tree most of the day. The fawn walked around exploring while the mom watched. He is so cute. Glad your remote control has remained intact!
Jp, thanks for the pic of the juvies on the y! Everything is so lush and green there! Going to listen to your tunes in a second!
Lupine, I can't believe June is almost over, too! I almost forgot to pay my water bill! Glad I remembered the day before it was due! July 4th is next week!
I didn't know that about salmon and smell. Very interesting. I read an article yesterday about birds using the Earth's magnetic fields in migration. Animals are amazing.
Have a nice evening!
