Baz, firgg Just say the mattress I bought is made in Johnson City Tennessee so let your mom and sister know, and if she has a reason for me not to do this have her let you know it seemed quite comfortable in the price was good, and also had quite a number of features that sounded nice

Karen, I texted my Mtns Sis just now. I don't know about mattresses made in Johnson City, but I asked if she does. I'll let you know what I hear back, if anything. I don't think I'll be letting my mom know though, because she died 29 years ago, so I don't think I would hear anything from her - besides, she never lived in or visited Johnson City, or anywhere around there. LOL.  ;)  However, I hope you like it. I'm jealous - I need a new mattress!

baz - Niece did not get water in her place, thank goodness. She is on higher ground at the back of the complex.  She said, the surrounding streets and parking lot to her complex was flooded from the heavy rains.

...

Lisa, so glad your niece didn't get water in her place from the flooding. What about her car in the flooded parking lot? Fingers crossed no water got in it!

BAZI   You mentioned the beautiful flowers at the Masters brought to mind how I had heard that the bird sounds you hear are not real so I had to make sure that was true  "Yes, it's widely known and has been admitted by CBS that they "pipe in" or add recorded bird sounds during their Masters broadcasts to enhance the natural atmosphere, even though many people who attend the tournament observe very few actual birds on the grounds. "...

TSK, I think that's awful - piping in bird/nature sounds that don't exist during the Masters. They should stop doing that, if they still do. A few years ago, a broadcaster - don't remember which - got caught adding crowd sounds during some of their live sporting events broadcasts! Basketball games, in particular... Viewers noticed the crowd sound, and views of the crowd on the TV, didn't match, and put the broadcasting company's feet to the fire on it. The company fessed up that they had been doing it, and they promptly stopped after the outcry. I wonder if CBS is still actively doing that with the Masters broadcast, or if they used to and have since stopped. I wouldn't put it past a TV broadcaster to do that fake background bird sound add-on, but I, personally, wouldn't trust any "google" type answer on that question, only a response direct from CBS.

Bazm did bit mean your Mither!  The salesman bought one mattress for his mother and she liked it Evans,, my typing, and my voice to typing don’t work too well they really just wondering if your mountain sister ever heard of comments about that factory.
Lani your great niece is spectacular and super grateful. Thank you so much for sharing.
Probably good to see you my back won’t be any better until I get shots which will probably be sometime in May so in the meantime, it hurts, and my vertigo is back from trying after mattresses too much up and down and up and down and up and down sometime next week I’ll have to go to the ENT and get those treatment status Hope all is well with you and it’s always good to see you
I don’t think the Sue Kase’s are going to be a bad as they were last year. This is a totally different group and it seemed like they were fairly limited distribution. They are certain nasty looking. We have kind of pretty colors
Clynn, What rooms are on the level of your mothers house for the flooding takes place. Sounds like maybe the living room as you mentioned something about I thought the sofa baby. I’m wondering if something as simple as a French drain would help with the water movement they wouldn’t be that much money involved in that. I sure wouldn’t want to be putting carpet tiles down myself and think you could probably buy a carpet as cheaply as you could put those tiles in but who knows   Southern Illinois is very pretty and quite different looking than the rest of the state. Sorry the flooding is going to disrupt some of your plans, but it sounds like it’ll be pretty bad
There’s been no word from you this evening, so hopefully you’ve been out and about picking up some foods for yourself and for Jane when he gets home I hope they don’t rush him out of the hospital before he’s really all ready to go the length of hospitalization I guess depends on what’s wrong I was hospitalized 10 days while I was in the home with pneumonia. Mickey said they didn’t think I was coming out of there.
Tsk, You are right about the Cleveland pear and it’s fruit but I do think t The birds and/or squirrels might eat the little fruits that develop they’re very small
Beautiful day today a little on the cool side but it really feels good. Unfortunately I am too dizzy to get out and do much wow I didn’t think buying a mattress would have this effect on me, but I seem to remember what it occurred going to the eye doctor tomorrow for a check up and don’t have time to make an appointment with the ENT so will call and try to get something set up for next week. I don’t want to let this get ahead of me too .
 Far
Hope everyone has had a wonderful day, and attached is another salute to our dearly. Departed Devils.

OMG, Lani!! That is a wonderful dance "Aloha" video with your greatniece, Olivia!! It made me tear up. It's easy to see why she won the all-around in the competition!! She looks like the youngest, but she's the best! So graceful. Talented, skilled, and an all-around beautiful dancer! That video was so nicely done, too. There's good reason why they had several close-ups of her! Love the pics of her you posted, as well. I know you are so proud of her!  :) :-*

Lisa, so glad your niece didn't have to worry about a car in that flooded parking lot. And thank goodness your niece's place is on higher ground.  :)

((Phyl)), I hope Jim and you are feeling better.

Clynn, I hope your mom's place gets all fixed back up again before long. I know she must always really look forward to your visit, and you will cheer her up, too.

BL, I just love watching river otters! There's not much anything more fun! I must've read The World According to Garp at least 3 or 4 times - it's nothing like watching river otters.  ;) :D

Karen, I just heard back from my Mtns Sis, and she says she doesn't know anything about mattresses made in Johnson City. Sorry, no help there.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LISA'S BRADLEY!!

Fantastic news Bout Iris and Finn?

I am so glad I do not  proof read!   That is so funny !   The typing lady has evidently never heard of cicadas.
Lolololol!
Clynn, Are used to make Italian cream cakes and they are absolutely wonderful. I used to love making them but haven’t in ages. They’re relatively easy to make but you have to beat the eggs separately from the cake and you need to mixing bowls which I purposely bought just to make that cake and actually they just they’re very lovely cakes. Thanks for posting the picture.

Thank you Baz, Kb, Paulie, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, for you lovely comments about Olivia. I've watched it so many times with tears in my eyes, I'm so proud. She reminds me so much of my sister her grandmother at that age, another generation goes on...  :-*

Clynn, Cicadas! YIKES! It seems like it was just two years ago when they were really bad, this will be the Mother of all Brood!  :-\ ... thanks for Sportmans link. I checked on Dunrovin, no ospreys yet... YUM! Italian Cream Cake.

Kb, glad you found someone to do the deck.  :)

{{{Karen}}} It's good to know the "Sue Kases" aren't going to be as bad this year. Reading Clynn's article "Sue Kases" is going to be the mother of all Broods!! Nasty thing!! LOLOLOL!! 😂 😂 ... your microphone is a like my iphone one.

{{{Tsk}}} SED ;D :-*.    Thanks for the Finn news! I received an alert on FB. Sweet Iris is sitting alone on her perch tonight. Majority seems to think it was Louis that mated with iris and left and not returned.   :-\   I wish Dr Greene would step in and say something.

{{{Phyl, Jim, Miss Maggie}}} sending prayers.

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I could picture you as a young girl dancing just like Olivia... I think it's important that there are young people who want to carry on the traditions of their heritage. Again, so glad you were able to share the video. I have watched it several times and have saved it so I can watch it again! Hellgate - I also think it was Louis, just by the way he acted. Typical Louis, I was so hoping Finn would return before Iris! But, Louis did the same thing last year and Finn prevailed, hope it is the same this year. Come on Finn!! I also wonder why no comments from Dr. Greene. I just checked the cam, Iris is headless (tucked in) and it must be windy in Missoula this morning!

karen, I am still chuckling over your post, I am certainly glad you don't think the Sue Kases will be as bad this year... I don't know what makes you think that, she is a busy gal!  LOLOL! I decided I am not going to suggest any fixes for the water problem, she seems to just want give up on having nice carpet down there. The old garage is a family room (no 'sofa babies' down there... ;D, but it's not used much anymore, not since Dad got bad and Cathy moved to Texas and Becky & Jennifer don't come at Christmas.

baz, I agree, river otters are fun to watch! Such sweet little faces!

Phyl, good morning to you! I hope they will keep Jim long enough to get him back on a good path!  And how are you doing? Interesting 365, wonderful close-ups of the bison! Tulips are so spring, I have one daffodil that came up under the oak tree, wonder how it got there!! It won't be long until my Lillies of the Valley pop up and their fragrance will fill the air! A good spring poem!

An incredible tree that clings to life for years. There is an extraordinary tree on Kalaloch Beach, within the Olympic National Park, in Washington, United States, that some people call “Arvore of Life” because it is suspended in a huge burao and is clinging to life. The tree is a sika spruce (Picea sitchensis), and is located north of Kalaloch Lodge in a penhasco  that has been caused by erosion, partially crumbling - beneath the tree. Nature teaches us about resilience.Credits: Geometria Sagrada
