PHYL  Well sorry to hear Jim is going back to the hospital but not sorry as it seems to be the place he needs to be.  He's a stinker for letting on he feels well enough to go home - MEN!  Prayers this will not be too long.  Can you order some groceries to be delivered?
Clean out the freezer?

CLYNN   Saw on FB, someone had video of "Iris" flying over about 30 min before she landed.  Tell me how they knew with her up in the sky??  ::)   I think it is Iris as on that close up you can see the speckles in her eye.

Clynn, everyone is saying its Iris. She's brought her fish to her nest to eat. She's calling for Finn and chasing other ospreys away from her nest.
In closeups you can see the brown speckles in her eyes. And she's watched the train go by... LOL! Everytime I check into Hellgate she's there. It's her.  :-*

Karen- Yes at about 9:30 pm he was in his room--after waiting since 5:53pm; neither Jim or I want to  or get a visit. He'd
rather I stay home and get recovered myself.

Tsk- they did CBC, Urine and lung X-rays, regular vitals. And the hospt. doc assigned to him ordered PT for his legs

I still have my drippy cold and cough and low fever. Maggie keeps to herself and sleeps. She might be
feeling iky herself.

Good Evening / Good Night Beakers...SEDs all.

{{{Phyl}}} I'm sorry Jim had to return to the hospital. I pray he's better tonight, and will be able to return home soon.. Can you call grocery order to be delivered?.... You and Miss Maggie sleep well tonight... sending prayers.

Clynn, I seem to remember you have cousins that live near your mom.  Are they able to help her with the flood waters?  :( ... when are you leaving to see your mom? She'll be happy to see you!  :)  Iris is sleeping on her perch tonight.  ;D  It's surprising an osprey hasn't arrived at Dunrovin Ranch yet. They are usually a few days ahead of Iris.

FYI: Dunrovin Ranch Osprey cam is located in Lolo, MT.   https://sportsmansparadiseonline.com/dunrovin-osprey-nest-cam/

{{{Karen}}} sending you and Piper hugs and prayers..

Baz, Congratulations to Florida. What a great game. I thought Houston was going to win. It was a nailbiter!!  I think the NCAA seeding committee did a great job with placement of the top seeds.

Puff, glad OG gave you the link to Hellgate Osprey nest. I should have posted it earlier, sorry. Take care.

Good night! ;D

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, love the tea cups and teapots! Hope you are able to go back and sleep a little more... Hope you get to feeling better today, hope the sun is shining!  Lots of hopes and prayers for you and Jim...  A picture for you:

Sauces - Audi and Betty Lou

Lani, Iris is on the perch right now, just looking around. Looking and waiting for Finnegan I'm sure! Come on Finn!  She keeps closing her eyes so maybe she is going to sleep some more. I wonder if she has noticed the new Fish Pole? I got a couple of phone numbers for Mom to call but someone from Carmi (about 25 miles away) stopped by and looked at what she needed and will give her an estimate. Her neighbor across the street asked him to call on Mom. So I will hear from her today I am sure. I think the main issue she wants taken care of is to get the wet carpeting out.

Iris - Boy, is her Crop full!  Linda Kamalani McIntyre

karen, you be careful with your weather!  Mom's lower level didn't flood, but water seeped in over the whole area. It wasn't enough to reach the bottom of the couch and chairs. Just soaked the floors and carpeting.

tsk, I often wonder how some people can identify birds from a distance! Of course, who is going to challenge? Maybe that person saw that osprey land on the nest and then knew it was Iris after she was identified...

Big Bear - Last evening...

LANI    So Florida won  :o  When I went to bed Houston had them by 12.   :o

CLYNN   What a colorful morning.   Love that old tire planter.  :)   Are you leaving Saturday for Mom's

Steven Mosberg's pic above. Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. One of 3 lakes in the area.

That is the amphitheater I posted a pic of during a snow storm on the left. This is now sans snow with a food court to the right and our street car testing this morning. I've taken it. It goes along/in between the lakes. A fun ride.

However it's still only 35 degrees out but "supposed" to get warmer this week..

Happy Tuesday all.

Good morning weather is much improved a cool and bright sunny day today not too much stuff on the ground except for a small pile of pine straw everything else looks to be as it was prior to the Bad weather event.
Going shopping for a new mattress this afternoon.
Checked in and out of t he game last night and , the end  was a real surprise!  Gator fans are celebrating the win!
Phyl, Does Jim have a Cardiologist? I wish you would get allergy testing and she seem to have these episodes as the seasons change and right now you’re in the Heights of the pollen time for your area anyway just a thought.

Royal Albatross
Kia ora koutou (hello everyone)

The Royalcam nest.

NZ Daylight saving time ends on the 6th of April, the clocks will go back 1 hour at 3am on Sunday.

Since hatching at 286g on the 28th of January, the Royalcam chick at Signal Station Trig has grown to 4.4 kg on day 63 (Tuesday 1st of April). This is a 0.3 kg decrease on last week’s weight. Today’s weight is 150g below average for a female but still well within a healthy weight range. There were quite a few chicks’ weights drop this week which is likely due to recent calm weather.

There have been 3 feeds from both parents since the last weigh in. The gaps between feeds are getting longer which is normal.

Feathers are starting to come in underneath the down. They are part of the secondary down structure which will fall off once the feathers are big enough. The black feathers on the wings will be visible first.  On cold days well-fed chicks will be warm with the food that is supplied by their parents and the growing feathers add a further layer of protection.

SSTrig has left her nest and has been staying in the area in front of the cam for the past three days! She does some gardening all around the area and then discovers the cam itself and we can hear her bill tap tap tapping on it! She may even see her own cute chick reflection in the lens! Enjoy some closeups of SSTrig photo bombing the cam! What a cutie! Thanks for watching!
