Lani - so happy you found a way to post your relative's video and pictures. She's gorgeous!
tig - makes sense to me. I confer with my sis who has sandy soil, I have clay, and she's also north of me and behind me in plant growth..
It triggers me to no end when people even in my own city post how everyone should do as they do in their yard.
Um no, you do you, and I'll do my own yard, thank you very much.
So, even here people do different things. Someone was complaining about someone mowing their own yard.
As you know my front yard is almost entirely garden and back is significantly so. For example, if I don't pick up all my leaves from my gardens early, I have to step on them and crush them in order to do so as there are so many, even with paths. i can't reach.
Same with my yard, I have so many squirrels that chase each other around my ash the bark flies off and other nonsense they do.
Anyway, I don't get defensive with these people, I just take care of my own yard the way I have successfully for now 26 years! But for some reason some people feel the need to tell other people what to do with their yard...
Have someone coming to give me an estimate to stain my decks this year. I believe I said last time that would be it for me!...We shall see. It's spendy, but if he does a good job might be worth it. Last time I hired it out he did a terrible job and I had to apply a second coat. took me 3 weeks...not every day but in total a section at a time allowing for weather etc. And I did it with a 4 inch brush.
