Bazi a very cool history of flying you have under your chin yoke.  8)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWoCLqMq8qM

The 'old timers' at small airports are a wealth of flying safely information for sure.   8)
That's why they're old timers.  ;)

Taking off from gravity is very exciting.
Flying is relatively easy.
Landing is the learned rub.   ;)

My nirvana is a P - 51 Mustang.

That's one Sexy plane.

You had to pilot those wings.

Thanx, again, for all the nice wishes and treats!

We had a lovely evening (after Camper presented me with gifts and a rose).

Here is a pic he took of me and a cake the restaurant provided (!) and a selfie I took.

Lani I double checked on that 24 hour temperature change in Kansas from the other day.
On 03/18/25 @ 4:52 pm CDT it was 87°
On 03/19/25 @ 4:52 pm CDT it was 39°

~ EDIT to add ~ The temp actually dropped - 56 ° in less than 24 hrs at Dodge City, KA.
From 87° on 3/18 4:52 pm to 31° on 3/19 8:52 am.  :o    :o   :o
And that's how one gets severe weather outbreaks in Kansas in March.  ::)

The weather station that reported the - 48 ° 24 hr temp change (° F ambient) was located at the Dodge City Regional Airport.
 ~ 1st image ~
You know .. for getting out of Dodge ..  ;)   :D

That's a good thing because it's most likely an accurate reading as opposed to a "Joe Blow's" weather station.  8)

Thanks BL  ;D

Good Morning Beakers! Caturday!

Lani, I hope we have two little ones at Decorah North by the end of day tomorrow! Snow disappears quickly this time of year, thank goodness! The snow is all gone at the Big Bear nest too! There has been something amazing going on at NEFL, a young eaglet, has been dropping in at the nest. He is close to the size of Bodie (Gabby & Beau's eaglet) and they are feeding him along with their eaglet! He comes and goes, Bodie hasn't fledged yet, so they think this eaglet might be a fledge from farther south? Pictures below! Love those rock star cats, reminds me of ZZTop, love seeing Billy Gibbons in Bones tv show! Cyndi Lauper is there too!

tig, sounds like you had a wonderful birthday! Love your classy hairdo in your birthday picture, makes you look young!

baz, wow on your pilot history! You are a very interesting woman! We all learn more about each other as time goes by! I am picturing you flying through the sky, you are like Amelia Earhart!

Phyl, love your good night pic! My Grandmother said 'one more snow after the forsythia blooms'. I haven't seen any forsythia around here! A few years back it snowed on May 2, about 4" but it didn't stay around long!

karen, the forsythia loves a light snow!

tsk, I remember Linda from our time in Decorah, her and Nanimal were good friends! I have heard from Nan a couple of times.. Do you remember shuffman or was it just shuff? I think she was mod also, She left because of posts she made, she was very opinionated! And she came back a couple of times with another forum name, but her writing style was unmistakable!

Lisa, Birthday Dinner tonight!!

Big Bear Nest

NEFL - Stormy and Bodie!

OLDGUY  Love those early pansies - they love cool weather.

TIG   Cute pics of you.  Restaurant provided a cake  :o :o  I like your hair up.  :-*  ((((CAMPER))))

LANI   You are right with D7  I had forgotten that alias.  LOL    The description of Kilauea makes me think it had indigestion  LOL
That was Linda's real name.  I do not remember her Forum name.   I got part way through the Illinois Xavier game and see now that Illinois advances.  LOVED that Hollies song.  Haven't heard that in ages.    Both Sides Now - another fav.  :)    Funny cat rock band  ;D

CLYNN   Funny Siamese  ;D ;D  Cute series.   NEFL   Something new we haven't seen before with the juvie dropping in the nest for some take-out!!  You are right. I forgot about Shuff?   I knew I wouldn't get them all.  I did not start keeping records at the very beginning.  Was just getting used to the Forum and still taking care of Mom in Milwaukee.  Cute pic at Big Bear.  " Who are you?"

Good Caturday Morning Beakers

The "Cats" photo reminded me, Frank Beard, drummer for ZZ Top, has taken a leave from their tour to handle a health issue.
