Unofficial storm reports from yesterdays storms ..

https://www.spc.noaa.gov/climo/reports/yesterday.html

BL, thanks for the weather alert....

The temp chart can't be right for the midwest. Kansas temps is unimaginable to me! Lived there 32 years and never experienced that!!

Lani that NWS map of temperatures is generally considered to be accurate.

24 hour temp changes swing pretty good at this time of year.
They happen more often then you would think.

Here's today's .. click on the -40's for example.   ;D

https://www.weather.gov/wrh/hazards?&zoom=7&scroll_zoom=false&center=39.036252959636606,-80.44189453125001&boundaries=false,false,false,false,false,false,false,false,false,false,false&tab=observation&obs=true&obs_type=air_temp_change_24_hour&obs_popup=false&obs_density=60&obs_provider=ALL

Yep, about a week ago, we had a 50 degree temperature swing in less than 48 hours...

The Typing lady did it again she typed LAURIE for LORI and rumble for crumble.  Lol.  Anyway, thanks Lori LORI for your post this morning.
Mouth is not too bad in any discomfort is bearable. I see the dentist Tuesday as I have an appointment for a cleaning then they have to check say partial as well. I think they made it smaller or narrower as it is almost impossible to get off I don’t know that I will be wearing it until I see them Tuesday. However, I think it’s an easy fix.
Got a new battery for my watch today and believe I located the clock I want alarm type at Walmart it has everything in big digital letters and also flashes the time on the ceiling so you can lay in bed and look at the time lol OL they say it’s for the elderly and those with dementia. Ha ha ha.
Thanks for the post things. I had something I meant to say what a complement for somebody about some thing, but I forgotten about it now so I will sign off and say SEDS.

Lisa- we sent the storms up your way. Kinda got tired of them. LOL  :-*  ;)  I will say come this Sunday you'll have the last laugh as  Sunday 11PM  monster rain storms all night until 11pm Monday.   Pets to the B & B kitties stay inside and snuggle up.

Tsk-yes I've been to Travellers Rest.  They keep feral cats there---the manager of the gift shop had a PG stray wonder in and drop her litter. At  his expense had her spade. Over time more wondered in and stayed. They didn't venture far and never went near the plantation itself.

Clynn-tks for up date on DNN and snap of pip on the egglet.

BL tks for stats on yesterday storms---check 'em out later.

Karen- Glad your dental extraction is settling down. Good news on the dental appointment this coming Tuesday.
Sounds like you're gonna be all fixed up.  And, that digital clock would be easy to see on ceiling no rolling over or twisting about to view.
I would like that with my fused neck.  :)

Good Evening / Good Night Beakers...SEDs all.

Clynn, A pip at DNN! Great news! Very pretty spring pics! Great memories of the early years of the Beak. Iceline introduced us to the Crex Meadows Sandhill Cranes.... Many great members no longer with us Lindawyo, Ming, Jpalm, Willi, MpMom, Neva, Naimoj, Lindy, Marrymo, TxTeacher, Indy, ....  I noticed there are 98 RRP forum members now, there use to be a lot more... that poor Bobcat, you know there was something big that chased him up to the top of that cactus. He's not up there enjoying the view... Love your link to Tom Jones music... I loved everyone one of his songs...

Phyl Stunning video of the GHO in today's nature video... it is wonderful to see a baby at the Sauces nest again. When I received the Explore.org pic of the Sauces baby I called MpMom and they were heading out of town for a bit. She was thrilled.  ;D I posted the explore video on her Sauces thread... beautiful historic plantation museum.

Tsk, Did your snow melt today? ...the post was blank after I clicked "Post" then it stopped because of 3 replies before me, normally you're able to see your post in the box, but mine was gone! Empty! Nada!!... :-\  I'd love to do the early fall Alaska cruise, I've heard that's a wonderful one to see eagles, brown bears, etc... I know Eagles/Kris had a great Alaska trip last fall.  ;D

{{{Karen}}} Sorry about the Slim Fast.... Glad your not having a lot of discomfort. .... I'll let Eagles know you're thinking about her... You and Piper sleep well tonight.  :)

Puff, glad to know you and Alice share the same birth date... now, I remember the Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabitation is where Alice works.

Lori, beautiful spring pics! Love the Blackberry Crumble Bars. YUM!

Kb, that's an eerie pic of the Beluga whale, they do look like they have knees. But, of course they don't, it's blubber or muscle moving with the ocean currents. Glad your nephew made it safely home.... after everything, glad things are looking up!  ;D

Lisa, I don't even want to think about taxes..  :P ... Trading Places is a fun movie, a perfect ending to your special day... Outback sounds like the perfect birthday dinner. YUM!  ;D

BL I'm glad it's 44 here.  ;D ... I 've never seen so maniy below zero temps this time of year.brrrrr.

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, yes, the forums are not as big as they were, but the Beak Room is still going strong, probably about half of what it was back then! I would love a cruise to Alaska! We should get to 58 today, still a bit windy though. TWC is saying 80 for next Friday! I sure hope we have Spring for a while and not just a jump into Summer!

Phyl, I love businesses that have resident cats! There was a store in Portland called The Cat's Meow, everything and anything cats, there was one welcoming us at the front door and a couple more inside! I always brought presents home for the cats. Sadly, it didn't survive the pandemic...  Has Jim been able to check the Bluebird B&B?  I would love to visit The Traveler's Inn, love the double wrap around porches!

karen, The Typing Lady, LOLOL! I can just see you lying in bed, eyes wide open, staring at the time on the ceiling!

Lisa, have fun and good eats for your Birthday Dinner today!

tsk, some nice Spring weather coming up this next week! Soon the gardening places will be bursting with flowers!  I always spend my birthday money from Mom on plants, can't wait! I will be visiting Mom April 12-20th. There is a big flower place out in the country that we go to. I will be hunting for another hosta and let Mom pick out something for Mother's day! Her daffodils are all in bloom, I wish she knew how to take a picture with her phone!

DNN - Per GABear (mod) - As of 3/20/25, both of our eggs have pips! We'll be watching the hatching process closely!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

KAREN  I know someone who had that clock that flashed the time on the ceiling.  They loved it  ;D

LANI   All snow gone except in all shady areas.   Lots of Beakers come and gone.  I have a 31 others on my list who were very short timers.   I'll post them some time today.  Checked on Flint Creek yesterday - Want to know if they have a visitors center.  Waiting for response.  Don't think they do

CLYNN  Bright yellow morning.  Hope it is sunny here today.  Next week below ave temps  :P   You will be driving home on Easter from Mom's  ;D   I have a memo to myself to dig out a hosta where it gets buried in ferns and move it to another area.  It's huge so may split it at the same time.  Need to cut down my roses tho.  May do that today.

PUFF   Thanks for the advice on an Alaskan trip.

My new computer tower should arrive today with Windows 11.  Will need to wait however until my niece has time to transfer for me.  ::)  ;) ;)

PHYL   sunflowers - one of my favorites

PHYL   Not really working circles...I prune the roses back by cutting off about 2/3 of the plants  I have 3 knockout roses.  That's the only thing I do now.  LOL   I currently have an Acer Aspire.  I upgraded to the TC 1775 UR12   on sale and has 16GB which my advisor ( friend of my nephew) said was essential.  He approved my choice.  Coming from Amazon.  Hope no one steals it from my porch  LOL
