((Phyl))

I caught my fall yesterday but gouged the top of my wrist. The price we pay...

0 degrees going to 2 today. Will stay inside and start packing up the Christmas decorations and do some home exercise.

I made it upstairs and slept in our bed last night (the first time since September!). I made it for about 5 hours. I only slept a little. I came back down to the easy chair and slept for about 3 hours... even though it was bright. Our Hue light system is acting up. Grr.

BL You find the beautiful places to rest the spirit and feed the soul. Stunning peaceful sunsets... there seems to be a few eagles that spend time on Seal Island. Besides Mr P., You've probably seen a few eagles too.

Clynn, beautiful posts... Mike will return Thursday... love the pics from Sauces nest, prayers for a successful season...

Lisa, Clynn I can't drink Espresso coffee, it's too strong for me. Just like Chicory Coffee from New Orleans/Mexico. I had the terrible nightmares after drinking them, and I do love the taste with milk. yum!! But nightmares NO! It was like being in a Stephen King movie! I do love lattes, but I can't have them in the afternoon. And I hate decaf... why drink coffee if you have to have decaf. ugh!

{{{Puff}}} sending prayers for good results... thanks for nest update. always love the tussle over nestorations.  ;D

{{{Phyl}}} beautiful morning posts... great RRP blog about Goldens and nest news! I have a jar of pennies dating back to the 60's ... Thanks for nature video, another Jim B. Classic. Good luck with your scan appt today.

{{{Tig}}} Take care  :-*

I want those cookies!

Luckily, no pain. But I had to go to the door to approve and sign  the time charge for our roof snow removal while holding a bloody paper towel on my wrist. Embarrassing.

TSK... it was strange. Just walking near a doorway and somehow my foot stopped without stubbing the toe (!) but it caused me to begin to lose my balance. My left hand was on my cane and stopped that side of my body. My right side lurched forward but I instinctively threw my right arm out. My wrist stopped against the wood door jam.

I got all packed up except the ornaments/lights.

Karen, THANK YOU FOR THAT GOOD NEWS SWFL UPDATE!!!  :) :-*  I am sooo relieved and happy at the info in that link that M and F23 are now past the period of concern over if they were suffering from avian flu, too. Whew!! And they are back to their normal routine again! Woot! What great news!!  :-* :-*  We can't know what might develop in the future, of course, but just wonderful to know they are in the clear for now!  :-* :-*

Lisa, thank you for posting that great SWFL news from Karen!!  :)  And thanks to you and Jeff for keeping the outdoor kitties safe, warm, and fed - especially with the winter temps and frozen precip!  :-* :-*  I hope you have a pretty snow and skip any ice, and that it doesn't cause a lot of work or issues. Stay safe - stay off the slippery stuff!   :)

Hello Beakers

Snow is expected to start here about midnight and last 24 hours.  Totals forecasted ranges from 4 inches to 8 inches, depending on source.  It should be a light dry snow, as the temps will be 20 down to 0 during that time period.

Oldguy - Stay safe and warm. Thanks for the videos.

Baz - You’re welcome.  The snow started a lil later than they said, but by 3pm the yard was covered.  Jeff got to leave work at 12:30, so he and I made sure the kitties outside were well fed and had plenty of warm water.

Beakers who are dealing with the weather, stay safe and warm.

Good night 😴

I almost didn't feel so bad that I was no doubt the only person who still hadn't put the holiday back in storage yet.  But then I remembered that you leave yours up late - I never even got mine put up to begin with.  I was still putting away fall/Thanksgiving things when things happened.  I can do more and more each day, BUT. . .

KAREN   thanks for having LISA post about the SWFL eagles - AT least they are alive. and for that we are grateful.

TIG  It's just freaky how those balance losses happen.  It's when you least expect something to go wrong.   In another week or so will take down Valentines Day  LOLOL

OLDGUY  Dovydos - now those are real musician street performers.  Very cool.  Love the guy in the crowd  LOL  The snow you are sending us should arrive about 9 or 10 tomorrow AM.

Lisa, Love the morning coffee with heart cookies. YUM!... yes, NOLA coffee with Chicory. So good, and yet so lethal if you have a cup after dinner.  8) And I do love a cup after dinner, especially when we're eating out. I have tea now, I'm having Earl Grey right now... sending hugs to you and Jeff for taking care of the B/B family  :-*

Karen, Lisa, Fantastic update on SWFL M/F! They look well and content on their tree.  :-* Thank you both!  (God, I wish they would give them names)

{{{Tig}}} Take care

Oldguy, Karolina did a great job! Thanks for links!

SED Baz, Puff, Tsk  :)

Good Morning Beakers

Puff - Glad to hear you say, you can do more and more each day.

tsk - How is Barb doing?

Lani - LOL, you are so right about the French Market Coffee & Chicory at night.  It will keep you up!

clynn, kb, karen, tig, Phyl, and all - Morning  :D

We got a good 7.5" of snow again it looks like.  All the B&B kitties have been account for, and have been fed this morning.  Here is one that we call Lil Spotty, as he has smaller spots on him.  He slept in the cat house last night, but likes to lay in the hay under the picnic table during the day.

DNF laid her 1st egg last evening around 5pmCT....Congrats to the Norths!

Good Morning Beakers!

I woke up to a blanket of snow outside...so pretty and quiet...

Lisa, beautiful picture of DNF and the first egg at the North Nest! Wow, you got a good bit of snow!

Phyl, I hope you get good news and some relief today when you see the Dr.!  Thanks you your usual post, full of the regular goodies we are used to! The 365, Amy's Blog and interesting things!

Lani, I have never had chicory coffee, but I can remember my Mom and my Dad talking about it, Mom said it was all people could afford bac! !k in the Depression, and they grew to like it! I have at least one cup of tea every day, usually in the afternoon (tea time)! I am still drinking the black tea Janet sent from England! I bet Mike will be glad to get back home tomorrow! Love that sweet ginger kitty!

tsk, I try to be extra careful about falling! Fingers crossed, no falls for years. They always ask at my yearly physical, they will be proud of me this year, no falls and I have lost 24 pounds! But I seem to be forgetting more... Interesting puzzle plan!

Lisa, so you already have snow! Is it still snowing there? TWC says for here: Snow this morning will give way to lingering snow showers this afternoon. So we shall see what 'lingering snow showers' adds up to...

karen, wonderful news on SWFL!! I hope they have a second clutch, but if they don't that will be good too. At least we still have them! Like Lani, I wish they would give them decent names!

SWFL - 2/11/2025 update at the SW Florida eagle cam nest.  It's been 2 weeks since the chicks passed but today, both M15 and F23 actually were in the nest building.  Here is M15 bringing in a huge stick. Roman Kurywczak.
