Lani don't you know Pip and I are just loving the Bald Eagles pics from Seal Island Maine.   :)

That pair is looking scrumptiously like the ones we saw on M.D.I.

Pip, Kopje and I watched many mature Bald Eagles perch and fly over Eagle Lake while there.

In the wee dark hours from Maine we sadly busted a move back south towards home due to incoming Winter.

Interstates dry and clear en-route back now don't you know.

Long drive.

Good Morning Beakers!

A fancy chicken morning! We got 6" of pretty white snow yesterday! Very cold today, -4 right now, high today 10. Brrrr!

BL, love your stories of your times with Papa Smurf and the boys. I imagine all you boys are a fairly rowdy group! The bits and pieces we get to know about you, Phil! The time lapse video was beautiful!

Lani, pretty sunset at Seal Island, love the eagle couple! Mike home tomorrow, I bet you are planning his favorite dinner!

oldguy, you got about the same amount of snow that we got! Thanks for the videos, love Maru in front of the fireplace!

karen, hot humid day indeed!  ::) ::)

tsk, you must have been on the edge of the snow, i]which we have had so far this winter. Until yesterday!

Lisa, thank Jeff for putting hay in the B&B for the kitties!

Phyl, so good to see your post yesterday!  I think you got caught up! Thanks for the 365 and for Amy's Blog. We should get another egg today or tomorrow! Wonder if 2 or 3 this year...

baz, hope your crown was just super-glued back on! I have had that happen twice, same crown!

SWFL - Two weeks after both eaglets died from bird flu, veterinarians think the adult eagles in the world famous North Fort Myers Eagle Cam are in the clear. They continue to look strong and healthy.

In an incredible display of nature, a female red-breasted merganser in Minnesota has been spotted caring for a staggering 76 ducklings! 🐣🐣🐣
This remarkable moment was captured by amateur wildlife photographer Brent Cizek on a trip to Lake Bemidji, about 150 miles northwest of Duluth. His stunning image shows the devoted mother leading a massive group of fluffy little ones across the water—a true supermom of the bird world!
Mergansers are known to practice "creching," where multiple broods combine under the care of a single female. But seeing 76 ducklings together? That’s a once-in-a-lifetime sight!Nature never ceases to amaze.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

KAREN   Snoopy  ;) ;)

TIG   Beauty of a tree TIG  Camper knows just how to take good ones.

BL   What an amazing family  - generations of Mr P.  You boys weren't always rascals building that "seal shack".  What was its use?

OLDGUY   Interesting video on Lahaina.  Clean up is amazing.  Good news that the majority of properties can begin rebuild sooner.
The planets weather systems have sure been in chaos - Japan.  :o :o   Tateyama Wall -   :o :o :o  Interesting how they have to locate the road vis GPS to start clearing it  LOL

LANI   Puzzle shoulder is great  ;D   Cool visitors to Seal Island.  :)

CLYNN  Interesting themed morning  ;D   I think that snow you sent this way was the heaviest south of me.  Looked out this AM and it appears my neighbor cleared our driveway and sidewalks early this AM.  Think it was about another inch or so.  Sent him a text thanking our Guardian Angel.  ;) ;)   A Merganser commune  LOLOL

Good Morning Beakers

tsk - Glad you didn't get the 4 to 8" range of snow.  The temps rose above freezing yesterday, and it also rained, so some of ours has melted.  So very nice of your neighbor to clear walks and drive for you.

karen - I felt the same as Snoopy last night, ready for bed.  Oooo, hot and humid already?

tig - Beautiful tree.

BL - Thanks for the link to the Bar Harbor cam. Thanks for the tunes.

oldguy - Thanks for the videos, and good song by the Q-Kids!

Lani - Nice view from Seal Island.  :D

clynn - I sure will.  :D  Love your fancy chicken morning...lol  Wow, the Merganser and ducklings!

Not as enchanting as yesterday's BL.  How many read the small print?:  Wind 31, gusts to 42,
temp 28.

Not beach or even fishing weather.  I liked yesterday's sunrise more, much nicer.

https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/minneapolis-water-main-break-west-50th-street-penn-avenue-south

only 14 blocks north of me....water main break couldn't be stopped for hours....Oh no, one of my most favorite restaurants flooded....and stores...

They can't drop salt as it's too dang cold to unfreeze it so a multiple block ice skating rink

Residents being told to evacuate their cars on the streets east or they will freeze to the ground.

Man it's been one of the coldest winters I can remember. Hardly out of the single digits or teens for the last 6 weeks. And way below zero at night. Makes me feel curmudgeonly. At best.

Spring needs to show up pretty dang soon....

75 and heavy rain!  Piper wants an indoor potty!   Think it may cool down a little now.
Thanks to all for sharing.  Bl, did you wake up in NJ?

Likewise a big thank you for the Lahina and Japan posts.  Already forwarded Lahina sites to other travel advisors, and friends in Maui and to my clients.

Very impressive snow road - Never heard of Japan's Snow Corridor.

On the other end of the climate - tsk already gave her area - I had about 2 or 3 inches total for yesterday and last night.  Started out today at 26 degrees and it is falling and will continue to fall below zero tonight.

brrrrounce

There you are KB. Hugs

Yup, a bit cold on the face when I left for the pool this a.m. at -8 degrees.
A bit depressed to discover another little section of kitchen ceiling that has a small crack in the paint. The whole ceiling will need repair at some point.  :-\

A friend was late to the pool this morning because her neighbor called her over to ask what bird was in her back yard. The pool friend is a birder. She visits South America for birding and went to Iceland last June to bird.

I actually measured with a ruler on the generator top   2" exactly.  Big deal.

LISA   While I was away for a bit this AM - the other neighbor cleared the entry to the driveway where the plow had pushed the snow.  I'm starting to feel old  LOLOL   I had planned to do that when I got back. ::)

KB   Gosh, what a shame for those restaurants and any residences.  Old city - old pipes - Chicago that is.

PUFF   As usual - temps plummet after a snow.  At least the sun is shining.  :)

TIG   Nice friend to have. Expert in birds

tsk - yeah sis and I have been brainstorming how the heck they will ever get that to unfreeze in the next 2 weeks?....it's at least a 7 block area long and I have no idea how many wide...That paperback store might be the culprit?...all the books floated away. I dropped off oh maybe 50 there long ago. They just couldn't get the water to shut off for 5 hours..I don't know why yet. So, it might be a building's owner responsibility? We shall see as they say.

It's a wonderful area much like 50th and France it's neighbor to the west...like a bit of old Europe.

Worse, it's going to snow tomorrow night!...
