Pauli, good to see you!  You did not take up top much room!
I was happy to see the tribute to Virginia Halas McCaskey at today’s game. Write a family history and yes she lives. I believe in this place not too far from you.
Dr. Hall came by today with a nice little baby rose plant in a pot for me and it will stay in planters and knocked on the ground as it is one of the little bitty games. Very nice Valentines present. Hyper was beside herself with joy to see her old friend and I think she knows that without Dr. Hall she might still be in the pond anyway they’re best friends
T Task I have also heard the neurovirus is a bear and that one of the nice ones it’s unfortunate. They can only deal with symptoms and keeping a patient comfortable and there is nothing available so far to get rid of it. I have heard of people having it and it’s not fun  Prayers for us for Barb’s. Quick recovery.
Postrd below is, I have the Ball, I Win!

Hi Paulie, good to see you! I'm fine, just need to go to bed earlier. LOL! I'm an early riser. I love the quiet of the night as well as the first cup of coffee in the early hours of the day.
I just took our trash bins out for tomorrow's pick up too. Take care of your icy roads.

Baz, sorry about Zippo  comment just misread your post to me. No worries from me.. just this game is a heartbreaker. I hope Chris Jones will be okay.. what a great man with a big heart. He always cries when they play the National Anthem. :-\

Tsk, Mike is at a meeting tonight. No watching the game for him. I haven't heard from him since he landed in Cleveland. {{{Barb}}}

Karen, what a lovely Valentine's gift from Dr. Hall for you and Piper. Love the pups!  ;D

BL, I wonder what Hotel Mike is staying at.. He forgot to send me the link to his travel schedule.... Lots of snow at Crater, wish I was there. LOL!. That reminds me of Mammoth Mountain, CA last year. Mike won't be able to watch the game tonight, he's at a meeting... Who has meetings on Super Bowl night!!! Anyway, it's probably best, this is a heartbreaking game.  :-\ But, what a great season!! Yep, Eagles Defense is Player of the Game!

{{{Phyl, Jim and Miss Maggie}}}

Congratulations to the Eagles! We'll get you next year! LOL!  ;D

Good Night!

Royal Albatross ~ Sweet Reunion! GLG Returns Quickly From Foraging At Sea To Be w/ Her Chick 2.9.25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRdqoIwY-7M&t=16s

Feb 8, 2025
GLG returns to the nest after being gone for only two days at sea! RLK greets her with a beautiful skycall and GLG will join in as well. A Mother's love brings her back to be with her new chick. RLK was only gone three days when he returned as well. Both parents are very devoted to their chick especially at this early stage. RLK begins to allopreen GLG with some sweet affection. She will reciprocate to him as well. They sit very close to one another - almost leaning upon one another. RLK will then get up and GLG immediately will take over brooding their chick. RLK gardens briefly before he departs. Don't be surprised if we see him back quickly as well.

More importantly than returning quickly is that they find enough food during their trip foraging at sea to be able to feed their chick.  Thank you for watching!

Such a loving pair  :-*

Pip said something with just her eyes and a rye smile.

You know there are certain places at a certain time & place with some people seeing critters that just don't do it justice.

I know baby I got it.

The fire wasn't any more stoked than when us humans left.

Curiously there were whole wedges of wood next to the dog bed waiting.

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl (Jim), hope this day finds you a little bit better than yesterday. We miss you!

BL, sounds like you and the family are having an epic time! What a huge fireplace! And I am pretty sure you are the brother on the top in the picture! Wow on running into a huge moose!

Lani, I can't believe Mike didn't get to watch the game, but maybe it was a good thing... But who has meetings on Super Bowl night! And on Sunday night! Are you sure it wasn't a Super Bowl Party in disguise?  ;D ;D  Awww, RLK and GLG are such a sweet couple, and they are always so gentle and calm. Love that they are finding enough food that they can take short trips. I imaging a gauge in their throat that tells them when the pantry is full and they can head home!

karen, so nice of Dr. Hall to bring a Valentine present and visit Piper! She knows she did a good thing putting you two together! I couldn't watch the eagle video, it looked like it might not end well, glad to hear it did!

tsk, poor Barb, prayers going to her for a quick recovery. It sucks to be sick!

Paulie, I looked up how many eggs a day was too much and found this:  'The Heart Foundation currently sets no limit for healthy people when it comes to how many eggs you can eat per day. The key is enjoying them, as part of a healthy and balanced diet.' You might try one thing for your hubby that I do, I whisk 2 eggs with about 1/4th of a cup of egg whites (you can buy this in a carton) and then scramble them. Can't tell the difference and it's healthier. Of course, wouldn't work with anything but scrambled eggs.

BL   Those two? walkers at Crater Lake really give some perspective.  Thanks for the requested pic of the fireplace - Awesome!  Who chops the wood?  You definitely know how to handle a run in with the BIG ONE  :o

KAREN    How nice to have a visit from Dr Hall who came bearing a gift for Valentines day :)  Cute pic.  Looks like " Skippy" got distracted  LOL

LANI    Agree -" Who has meetings on Super Bowl night?"  LOLOL    The Chiefs are a great team no matter what.  A good season.  Eagles earned the win.   This is a fun Royals nest to watch.  Thanks for the update.

CLYNN   Just got Barb's report.Slept through the night.   Will put herself on clear liquids today .  Thinks the vomiting is over. Now to master the other one. They had to cancel a play and joining their condo's Super Bowl party - All just things!  I said just get better!   You are so right about the egg whites.   I heard a trick with scrambled eggs as well.  Add a little cottage cheese - It is really yummy  ;D

  Morning Beakers ...

Currently 34F    Today 48F     and   Tonight  35F

.

Thank Y’all for thinking of me and sending prayers and all for healing. I have a lot of pain in my knee cap.

I’ve figured out how I can keep knee elevated and sit for short periods at this desk. So, I’ll be ‘playing catch-up in my threads and limiting my time.
Knee scan this Tues at 5pm. See Doc following Wed in mid afternoon.
Needing a good verdict!

Can't tolerate standing on right leg. Still using mom’s cane and will at least until Doc visit Wednesday. I hate using it as with vertigo I almost fall over.

Take care everyone.

Prayers for all in need ...as always, Beakers, Cheers and RRP / families.

Post Script: Watched Super bowl yesterday as my next fave team  Chiefs was playing. Sad that they lost. I think they waited too late to give it
their all.

Jim here...

Sorry, Phyllis asked me to post this Thursday. I got busy with work and her.

Wednesday Ortho Doc said Bursitis. Aspirated 15ml of blood from knee. Sent it off ofr test
Big blood clot is left at base of knee. Suppose to dissolve n time
Ordered to stay off knee , elevate and ice  until next Wednesday's Doc visit.  Next Tue3sday 4:30pma scan  of right knee.
She's have a tough recovery for some reason. Told  she cant sit at desk with out elevating. So far she can’t figure out how to do that with this desk.
I've been peeking inhere  having a look around from time to time. Is that 'okay' ?

Says to remind  she's always logged in  24/7.  Whatever that means.

Have a good one.

Thank you Jim for the update on Phyl's.

Phyl's I hope each day finds your knee better and better.

Here's a gentle group hug from your Beaker friends and some of your bird buddies ..  :-*

Good Morning Beakers

tsk - Sorry to hear about Barb.  Is she feeling any better?  I hope Tom doesn't get it, but they say if you are around anyone who has it, you may get it if she has the Norovirus.

karen - How nice of Dr. Hall to bring you the baby rose plant, and that Piper got to visit with her.

Lani - I hope Mike wasn't too disappointed in his team.  They had a good season!  Thanks for the Royal update.

BrokenLug - The "rowdy crowd" is that that pic reminds me of with you all by the fireplace.

clynn - Love the family pics from NEFL  :-*

Phyl - Good to see you posting.  Take it easy.
