LANI   Thanks for that refresher on your niece, the kids and I remember your sister and niece live on different Islands.  That picture of Bailey doesn't look like she is 2 months+ early.  Prayers for your family.  :-*

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, more perfect puzzle pictures! Beautiful snowfall in the Bigwoods 365, busy squirrel and lady cardinal! So did Jim get his fill of turkey? Does he like the leftovers? I cooked a 3 lb Butterball turkey breast and a 3 lb Hormel ham so some good sandwich leftovers! Sent half of the leftovers home with Erin, except for the Cranberry Fluff! I cleaned up the kitchen this morning, I was too tired last night to do it! Ed washed most of the dishes that wouldn't fit in the dishwasher, that was a first! That's why I am late this morning! Marie Callender makes wonderful pies!

Lani, yes, it was lovely having the kids here but boy, I was worn out! Talon and Bella were wound up, they must have had plenty of sugar earlier! Erin and Sydney are dropping them off sometime today so they can shop, so we'll get another dose of Munchkins! My sister Cathy could sit and eat a whole can of cold Vienna Sausages out of the can too! I think they are like Spam, they have different flavors now! Smoked, BBQ, Chicken... Did you and Mike have a nice Thanksgiving? I'm sure you missed having Shannon there...  Wow Bailey must be very healthy if she only has to be in the NICU for three weeks! She will be home for Christmas!

oldguy, what a feast you had! Wonderful variety of good eats, what are Party Potatoes? I have had to add Mac and Cheese to my menu for the Munchkins. My pies were French Coconut and Pecan, no one requested pumpkin! I remember years ago when Ed's sister Peggy and I got up at the crack of dawn to go to Springfield Menard's Black Friday sale, we were in the crowd waiting for the doors to open. OMG, it was pure bedlam, in the checkout line (which snaked all around the store) for well over an hour. Picking up good buys along the way... Hope the day goes fast for you!

tsk, funny about the turkey legs, I bet Tim was looking forward to a leftover! Men and their turkey legs! Glad you liked the cranberry dish, I loved it! My mother makes a cranberry dish, but I would call it a relish. She grinds up fresh cranberries, and I am sure there is some orange peel in there! It is cooked on the stove, I do not know what else is in it... I always eat some although not my favorite! I remember she used to make what Cathy and I called 'carrots held together with jello'. Grated carrots mixed in with lime jello. Jello was pretty popular back then! I wasn't caught up, we didn't eat until 5:30 so it was just a lull when I posted earlier!

karen, love the sidewalk funny! Hope you and Piper had a good day!

Lisa, hope you and Jeff had a good Thanksgiving! Miss Bella likes all kinds of jewelry, I think she has a few good pieces but mostly the little girl stuff you find on the rack at Kohls or Walmart... I am going to get her a good pair of earrings. The nails is what surprised me, she wants fake nails! I have seen them at Walmart for little girls, I bet they don't stay on long. Like the little girl nail polish, it doesn't last long.

baz, hope you and Zippo had a good Thanksgiving too!

Erin's Family Thanksgiving picture!                                      Samantha, Sydney, Skyler, Sayde and Bella!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

You betcha!...getting up to 17 today..

Nope no walk today Ollie man, even with a coat on ya. In my 50's and 60's Scott and I would hike in the woods with our double fur coated German Shepherd to 11 above. That was our cut off. Today, in my 70's and a one fur coated pup, Ollie, I won't walk below low to mid 20's! :D

So, tig, what are you doing inside today?...I'm probably just going to read a good book.

This pair started breeding in 2019/20, but their egg failed that season. They successfully raised two female chicks during 2021 and 2023 respectively. Their nests during these seasons were not far from the Royalcam nests of Tiaki and Manaaki and the chicks were seen on cam later in the season.

Hi KB! Watching Gopher football...
I performed my monthly update to doctor visits document on my laptop (for taxes), printed our Christmas card recipient list, printed our state fair flash sale tickets, etc.
Supper may be sausages, baked beans, souped up corn bread (corn, bacon bits, cheese) ?

Productive tig!...btw when did we all start calling stuffing, dressing? I couldn't find it at Lunds pre made cause I was looking online forever for stuffing.....grr....Dressing is for salads is it not? All the pre made food I bought there this year was great. Instead of turkey bought their kentucky legend petite ham. Best ham I've ever bought. uh hum, their stuffing was great too! :D

KB... research says it is interchangeable... stuffing vs dressing. There are regional preferences. Also... perhaps a religious preference ( stuffing doesn't sound "nice"). My 100% German Mom always called it dressing... she got the recipe from a German lady next door. And she called it that even though she used to stuff the bird with a small amount (wrapped in cheesecloth).  :D

Google says this:
If you're a Northerner heading to your Southern in-laws, you should make an effort to call it dressing, and if you're a Southerner heading up North for Thanksgiving, don't be surprised if everyone looks at you like you might as well be from Mars for not calling it stuffing.

My Norwegian ancestors always called it stuffing....LOL...they indeed are Northerners.

Good Afternoon Beakers

I am late today, but I have been out shopping those sales.   :D

tsk - LOL, you hiding the cranberry fluff on Tim! Hope you had a good day.  I agree with your statement, we do learn alot of things here in the Beak.  :D

oldguy - Wow, on your Thanksgiving meal, everything sounded delicious.  Thanks for the info on Vienna and hotdogs.  :)

tig - Mmm, that brownie dessert sounded good.

Lani - The Marie Callendar's was good.  I was surprised, and it cut very nicely too.  Hope you and Mike had a nice day.  Yay, and new season of Royals coming up!

Phyl - Love all your morning pics!  Hope you enjoyed your pie, too! Thanks for the 365.

clynn - Great pics of Erin & family, and Sydney and her sisters.  I love their names.  Oh, I bet Bella will love her jewelry you will get her for Christmas, and the nails  ;D

kb - Brrr, did you ever warm up some?  My family in the South calls it dressing.  My family here in Maryland calls it stuffing.   :)

karen, Puff, and all - Afternoon  :)

Lisa - not really. It's now 20 degrees here...and staying below our average this time of year of 36 for the next, oh I don't know, as far as the eye can see....10 plus days out...

No snow on the ground though. But, that isn't all that unusual to have a brown Christmas here.
